Shawn Thornton - I'd love to see that!

Funny, I thought this guy was just a "hard nosed" player and played "within the context of the game", whatever that means... Penguins' Matt Cooke suspended I do like the reply from Pittsburgh's GM, Ray Shero: "The suspension is warranted because that's exactly the kind of hit we're trying to get out of the game," Shero said in a statement. "Head shots have no place in hockey. We've told Matt in no uncertain terms that this kind of action on the ice is unacceptable and cannot happen. Head shots must be dealt with severely, and the Pittsburgh Penguins support the NHL in sending this very strong message."

Mine does too, but I'm recording channel 623 and hoping that when I get home tonight I can watch the Sioux game. Pretty much my only option at this point.
-
Agreed...I'll be out tonight and wanted to DVR it to watch when I get home, but I don't find it on the guide for DirecTV. I'd really like to know this before I go so I can set this to record - may have to just call them.

Tonight I'll go with LAMOREAUXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.

Duh...winning!

Enjoy... The Public Enemy

Not sure if you've seen the documentary "The Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia", but this post reminded me of that! If you haven't seen it - it's a must watch. And no - I'm not comparing that family to the Hextall's, just comparing reading their family trees and trying to keep everything straight!

This is correct, but you'll most likely see a cow jump over the moon before this happens. Very, very rare.
-
I hope not, but most likely the last home series to watch the "Fighting Sioux".
-
I think I just threw up a little bit in my mouth. Boy, I hope you're wrong!
-
Why, thank you!

I'm just glad he had (a) Condon.

Funny - if I didn't know better I'd think DaveK was trying to make us Bruins fans jealous of Toronto with all the scoring they're getting from their superstar, Phil Kessel. He's playing on a team that's 4th in the Northeast division and 10th in the Eastern conference, and most likely won't be making the playoffs. Not to mention, his 4 point night vs. Montreal really helps out the Bruins! Have fun rotting in Toronto - Phil. I'm guessing Toronto would get rid of him, too, however I think the secret's out and there's no other team in the league that wants his issues. Me...I'll take what the Bruins have - a TEAM. Not an individual player. I'll take Tyler Seguin over Kessel ANY DAY...who they "stole" with the draft pick they got from Toronto for Kessel. I can't thank Toronto enough for what they did for the Bruins by taking Kessel of their hands.

He looked like a man amongst boys (not in stature, but in his hockey IQ) as an 8th grader.

Central and Century knotted up at 2 after 2 periods.

Yes, I was able to connect. Has been a good feed so far. When I chose the KCNN option on the Listen I had 2 options - either "High Quality" or "Basic" player. Once I clicked High Quality it connected with no issues. 1-1 after 1 period. Shots are 13-10 Central.

Found it. It's actually on the KNOX website, but you choose to listen to the KCNN broadcast. Use this link: KNOX And in the top menus, under the Listen option you can either choose KNOX or KCNN.

The games this morning will be on 1590 (KCNN), not 1330 (KNOX). I'm out on KCNN's website trying to figure out how to listen online. If anyone can figure it out, can you please post a link? This website looks like it was built by a 2nd grader.

I believe this story was on another site a while back, but Hudson Fasching's story is now the lead on the NHL page on ESPN.com. Prep star's mark goes beyond hockey

What a disappointment. I read the title of this thread and thought that Gwozdecky was out, done as coach of the Pioneers and got excited!

I haven't followed this process at other schools so I don't know all the details with the other schools that have changed names, but to my knowledge no other school has stood up to the NCAA to the degree that we have - "we" being Fighting Sioux supporters, the Native Americans from the Spirit Lake tribe that worked hard to get a vote, the Native Americans from the Standing Rock tribe that have worked tirelessly in efforts to save the name, and now the state government. I'm very proud of all the people that have stood in this fight and worked towards keeping the name. If this were to bring about big change to the NCAA going forward, I would love to be able to say that it was the Fighting Sioux that spearheaded the change.
