Actually glad I switched my ISP to Midcontinent this year since they have ESPN3. So I'm quite happy not having to worry about being able to watch the UND game(s) in the event a local station or regional station doesn't pick up the games(s).
-
That changed starting last year. ESPN Syndication only allows in-house affiliates to pick up the games. In North Dakota, mostly all of the local ABC affiliate networks picked up the rights for the game so ND folks could watch the regional games.

The amount of butthurt coming from Gopher fans as a result of last nights game is absolutely enjoyable to read. I actually want to see another rematch against them just to see the Sioux pull off another upset against them. Yeah, the Gophers are a more talented team but our boys got heart and spirit to grind out wins. Where's GFG? I'd like to hear his thoughts on the game. He's one of the better Gopher fans alongside Sagard and FHG.

While I'm still enjoying this win, I just wanted to mention that I absolutely hate Kevin Gorg. Thank god they stuck him between the 2 benches during the game so we didn't have to listen to his homer !@#$ too much. Casey Hankinson(sp?), who replaced him in the booth to provide color commentary was excellent. He was very fair and was complimentary of the Sioux even when they were down 3-0. He had a lot of respect for UND and he was a Minnesota player to boot. Also enjoyed seeing fans of other teams cheering for the Sioux when they started the comeback. Sure people hate the Sioux but more people hate the Gophers.

That was a very entertaining OT even though neither team scored. Up and down hockey! They'll be going into a 2nd OT.
-
We won but it wasn't a pretty game. Sioux gotta play a lot better tomorrow if they want to beat the Gophers. The passing was pretty horrid for large parts of the game. Either way, bring on the Gophers! GO SIOUX!!!
-
Tyler Pitlick is a pretty good example.
-
Nope and we won't hear anything until the 2011-2012 season is over since it's now the playoffs and the Sioux coaching staff always remains quiet in regards to injury details once playoffs/National Tournament begin.
-
That's a very logical explanation. Right...right!?!? Gophers.
-
Reading up on Matteau's on-ice antics/behavior, it definitely does make me less disappointed that we lost him. Sure UND loves guys who are physical and make big hits. I think if Matteau did come here, he'd be a goon that even Sioux fans wouldn't be able to stomach.

It's very easy. I backseat coach every time my arse is on the couch watching a game. How difficult could it be actually making decisions that have an impact etc.? My resume and cover letter are ready to go at a moments notice.
-
or Rodwell. Both had shoulder injuries.
-
Didn't get denied on that breakaway.
-
Lol, I really feel bad for Nelson. That's breakway # what that he's missed on?
-
That's great to hear. I was worried he was going to make his decision without even visiting UND. The fact that he's going to take the time to visit UND is good news. I'm guessing by the fact that he's going to visit soon means he'll be at one of the games against Minnesota State? Hopefully he leaves very impressed.

I've grown to dislike the Jelly Donuts more than the Gophers. I enjoy beating them and I hope we do so in good fashion. Will be flying from Minot to Denver to watch the games live. A split would be alright but a sweep would be added gravy.
-
Gladly take 3 of 4 points. Sweeping Tech wasn't a gimme. The series against Denver is going to be big though it always is. Will be flying to Denver for the series. Can't wait! GO SIOUX!!!

Hopefully this kid is seriously interested in playing for UND. Don't need another kid saying he's gonna play college hockey just so he can have a little control over what CHL team he plays for. (Clarke, Matteau) However, not getting Clarke turned out to be a blessing.
-
It's a possibility. From a The Hockey News article back in September of 2011: Link: http://www.thehockey...t-Hargrave.html

Honestly, if Blood didn't take that boneheaded 5-minute major penalty I think we could've won this game. This series shows that UND can play with the top teams. Hell, we should've swept them. So I'm somewhat a little disappointed in the loss.

You can manually go back earlier into the game to re-watch a goal, hit etc. http://oi42.tinypic.com/2duha8.jpg ^ I took a screenshot. You manually slide the toggle that I circled to go backwards or forwards of the stream.

The UMD webcast guys are !@#$ing intolerable.

Kristo hit the kid in the back of the head and it was from behind which is why it was called CFB. Even if they aren't the same in your book, for what Rau did, Kristo deserved a suspension just as much then.
-
That's the WCHA for you.
-
At least not all Gopher fans are wearing their shades and calling it like that. It was pretty freaking clear to me that Rau's arms went high when he hit Zucker. I gotta say I am surprised about the suspension. As Dagies said, Kristo should've served a suspension in that case.
