  1. You really do enjoy making ignorant comments don't you? You probably didn't even know Genoway played for Houston. That is the only logical answer if you say he was the worst there.
  2. Most likely. We'll see how he does for Medicine Hat. He showed a lot of potential prior to this year. I certainly don't fault him for not coming to UND. He wasn't going to get a whole lot of playing time his freshman year. Education isn't a big concern either considering his father can pay for his education with ease. So I understand why he decided to simply focus all on hockey. Though to be honest, I still don't see him making into the NHL. May be able to toil in Europe or the KHL.
  3. That's surprising considering all the times I've seen Koules play I'd barely notice he was on the ice or played in the game.
  4. Midco will be able to air the hockey games no matter what since it's regional. CBS College Sports has exclusive rights to the national broadcasts. So even if they don't air a game of ours, FCS won't be able to pick it up.
  5. Part of it is about room on Wisconsin's blueline/roster. Based on the chart that Chuck Schwartz posted at USCHO.com's forum they will be pretty be maxed out on the blueline in 2013 when McCoshen is expected to play college.
  6. Did I hear PP clock mentioned? Viewership ratings are going to increase just because of that alone! There will be a lot of "Ooo's and ahhhh's!"
  7. It'll also reach most parts of South Dakota and some areas in Minnesota. Unfortunately, I believe that is as good as it'll get. With the deal that the NCHC made with CBS College Sports, UND can't have any sort of deal like it had with FCS to expand viewership area.
  8. Except in North Dakota. Besides Fargo, the rest of the state follows the UND hockey team religiously. NDSU football? Not so much. Hell, the closet fans in Minot barely came out when the Bison won the title. Leave the confines of Fargo area and head west, everyone is more interested in UND hockey.
  9. Hakstol was at the draft last year when JT Miller was drafted. He got interviewed and one of the funnier moments was Drew Stafford pretended to be a media reporter and it took a while for Hakstol to realize Stafford was next to him.
  10. Jordan Schmaltz drafted in the 1st round, 25th overall by the St. Louis Blues. Congrats Jordan! Hopefully Oshie can be a good influence on Jordan getting him to stay 3-4 years at UND. At least play a year with Nick!
  11. Must we all forget that watchmaker49 is the know it all when it comes to all things UND? Shame on you cutter for not agreeing with him even though it is obvious that watchmaker must've been watching some other game.
  12. Wow. Speculation is fun. Pretty sure the talk was they brought Saunders into the fold because it was a foregone conclusion that Dell was leaving after the year. Especially since he almost left the year before. Hakstol needed to bring a goalie in to help share time with Gothberg in the event that Dell would leave early. I'm so sure that Dell is just shaking in his boots of the prospect of less ice time. Funny thing is, all UND players know they have to earn the right to be in the playing lineup. If Dell stays, it'd be good to have Saunders and Gothberg around cause it'll push him to maintain being a solid/dependable goalie.
  13. I find it hilarious that Bison fans still have their panties in a wad over this. I can't believe this is still being discussed! Why should I be surprised though? Bison fans love talking about UND. NDSWho?
  14. Keep telling yourself that. Maybe everyone else will believe you. The amount of butthurt coming from you is hilarious. Get over it, so what if the NCAA doesn't even care enough to know which school specifically won the FCS football title. At least they shipped it to the state of North Dakota and not South Dakota. They did one thing right.
  15. Lol, I find it quite amusing. Poor NDSU, they win a national title and the NCAA doesn't even care enough to know which school won the FCS championship! My guess is they forgot and figured they had a 50/50 chance of shipping it to the correct school. Woops.
  16. That's about right for when the Twins played at the Metrodome. It's about a 15 minute ride from the mall to the dome. To get to Target Field though which is further away, it can be about 45 minutes or more.
  17. You're kidding with this statement right? They don't even compare. You're trying to play up the fact that your team has to play on an NHL ice sheet is as big of a disadvantage as it is an advantage for the Gophers to being playing in front of a partisan crowd? At least you spiced it up a bit, most Gopher fans usually just give the "the Xcel isn't any advantage it's a neutral playing site and it's located in a whole different city" schtick. I think I would've understood if your Gopher players never stepped foot or skated on an nhl ice sheet but the Gophers play many teams that have nhl sized ice rinks. Skating on smaller ice sheets isn't some foreign thing to them. If that's the case Gopher players who turn pro sure must have a hard time adapting.
  18. THN's Ryan Kennedy tweeted this today: About an hour later a person named Neate Sager who is a junior hockey blogger for Yahoo! Canada Sports tweeted that Jordan Schmaltz is fully committed to coming to UND: Maybe it's just me but I find that Ryan Kennedy tweet to be bothering. Sure, Patrick Sieloff could've just been joking but I just find it uncool that this Kennedy guy would ask the player who just broke his college committment that question. It would not surprise me if this Sieloff kid did try to recruit Jordan. CHL teams have shown time and time again they will play dirty and do anything to get a kid to renege on their college committment to play in their league.
  19. Kings vs. Devils. It's the match-up I wanted to see. While I love the run that the Kings have been on...I'd rather see Parise and Zajac win the cup. Go Devils!
  20. The skirting around in a circle that UND and NDSU officials have been doing is getting really old. Both schools need to just ****ing man up and get the games going again. PS I actually agree with Taylor on playing every other year. I think it'd make the games even more hyped up since they won't play each other every single year.
  21. Devils defeat the Flyers 3-1 to move on in the playoffs. Gotta love it.
  22. And apparently the NCHC is close to signing a deal with the Target Center to be the postseason venue. If so, that is a bit of a letdown. There are other options that are better alternatives to the Target Center.
  23. That is highly debatable.
  24. Ding Ding Ding. Nothing like keeping your draft stock high by padding your stats against lesser competition.
  25. I wonder if Mr. Wilkie reads up on SS.com and saw my comment wondering if he'll ever end up coming to UND. I like the reassurances but just like Brendan Lemieux, I won't believe it till I see them donning a UND jersey.
