4-0 Union over BC. End of the second period. Union looks pretty good. Talk about an interesting collection of teams that will possibly be at the frozen four this year if Union prevails.

I hope Forbort doesn't go. He really stepped up this season. If he stuck around he'd be a huge anchor for us on the blueline. Who will be the incoming freshies? I can already say I think scoring is going to be hard to find...I think a lot of pressure is going to be put on Grimaldi and Mark MacMillan to produce. Hopefully Gothberg gets things going next year though I do tip my hat to Saunders' effort against Yale. Dude is the only reason that kept us in the game.

If only UND could do that. UND continuing to show they can't go all the way to win another title. Once again the clamoring for Hakstol to be fired will be bigger.

Talk about a down to the wire game. Man, that was a hell of a game. Talk about senior leadership stepping up and willing the team to a win. Lets do it again tomorrow against Yale. Niagara gave us a good game. It's going to be another battle against Yale but if the Sioux keep it in high gear. We can beat them. GO SIOUX!!!

Which is just odd cause when the Gophers were on their game...holy crap look out they were world beaters. All I can say is, Gopher fans have to be disappointed in Bjugstad's season. He is such a good player but never fully showed what he could do game in and game out. Seemed like in some games, he'd mail it in.

All I can say is, I hope the boys were watching the game. They gotta come out against Niagara with guns blazing no slouching.

Huh? I'm all for bagging on the Gophers but I don't understand this. This game reminds me of the Sioux-Yale regional game. Gophers are gonna push back. I think the game will get interesting in the 3rd.

That's what I thought as well. Almost thought Sagard has been talking about UND but then I remembered he's a Gopher fan. Yale is gonna get burned by the Gopher PP if they keep taking stupid penalties.

Reminds me of the same cockiness that we all had before UND played Yale in the NCAA Tournament. Albeit Yale did have a more talented team that year but still. Don't fall off the cliff yet. Quite the pessimist! As for the Niagara fans, they are pretty much right. UND's goaltending is pretty darn suspect. I'm hoping Hak goes with Zane. As others have said, his ceiling is much much higher than Saunders' and he's shown flashes of brilliances despite allowing a soft goal here and there.

Don't really care what Niagra's record is or how they've done this season. Fact is, they can beat UND if the boys don't show up. No looking past them. Hope the team will be ready.

And we are going to Grand Rapids. Go figure.
