Gotta love UND hockey. Lose second game into the season and it's like it is the end of the world. Who am I kidding? That is how many people act for any loss in general here. Always enjoy seeing the many different reactions to losing. Anyways, losing this game blows because of PWR implications later in the season. However, it ain't going to matter at all if the team can put together a good regular season the rest of the way like we all know they have the potential to do so.

Well when you start talking about their team and players, it's gonna attract them. Possibly might need to reconsider the topic title of this thread if it continues.

Lucky for us we don't face them until January. By then I'm guessing the team will be gelling by then(at least should be).

Indeed and they've made it 3-0 now. All I gotta say is if our defense plays like they've played in the exhibitions games...UND will get lit up just like Michigan State is. Another thing though is just how good of a team is Michigan State this year? Either way, Minnesota is just dominating them.

I thought the MidcoSN broadcast was a little better in quality than in years past. The picture wasn't as dark as it use to be. For all the complaining, people could help themselves out by tweaking the brightness/contrast settings on their TV. Hell, I'd recommend people getting their HDTV's calibrated if they want to get the best picture possible. For those with ole' CRT TV's...not much can be done on your end.

I get what you mean. College hockey TV viewership in general isn't gonna beat out a football game. I believe our 2 games that were on NBCSN were on the list of having the highest amount of viewers last year for the hockey games they covered. Small sample but I'm hoping after next year, CBS College Sports considers airing more UND games than the package they have set in place for next year. Who knows may be they will if the viewership numbers are good.

Big time? If that were true we'd be having FS North or some other more renowned regional network providing coverage for our games. In the end it really doesn't matter what you or I think though. Midco will do want they want to do. I just find it hilarious considering many people panned Sweeney and WDAZ broadcasts. Would I rather have him? Yes. Do I think Midco is going to fire Hammer and bring Sweeney back? Doubt it.

I'm going to reserve my judgment on Hammer until he's got a couple more games under his belt. Same goes for the rest of the Midco broadcast. Give some slack folks, WDAZ didn't learn the ropes of broadcasting the games over night. It took them some time as well to work out the kinks.

I think our D looked shaky but that is too be expected I bet that will change with Berry coaching them during practices.. I thought Saunders and Gothberg did alright in their own right though. Too bad Tate couldn't get some icetime though. Definitely think MacWilliam's presence on the blueline is being missed right now. His return after serving his suspension will be greatly appreciated. As for Parks, didn't look good but I hope he doesn't miss too much time.

The whole reason for starting this conference is nothing but a joke. The hiring of Don Adam just exacerbates the joke.

Has very strong family ties with the Gophers though so I don't see it happening. I do like that UND is the only school he name drops as one of the schools that he'll be visiting.

Maybe it has been explained but from this so-called reporter what is the definition of the pageview stat? Cause if it is just a pageview then it literally doesn't mean sh*t. If they aren't going by unique visits then it doesn't mean anything. If it was just pageviewing that can easily be inflated simply by a person refreshing a page they are viewing or visiting the site/blog multiple times a day. Either way, I do agree it is ridiculous. I'd actually be more interested in the unique visit stats of SiouxSports and Bisonville. The webmasters would have to be willing to share that sort of info though.

Minot is 95% UND fans(and I'm being generous towards the so-called NDSU contingent here ). You have to wonder if Mr. Reggie Morelli is involved in trying to make this happen.

I have nothing against Sweeney but listening to him call UND hockey games was like watching paint dry. I usually muted my tv and had the radio on Hennessey. Stagnant and bland are the words I'll use to describe Fighting Sioux Sports Network broadcasts. I'm looking forward to what Midco will bring to the table since they have the possibility to take UND broadcasts to a whole new level which FSSN couldn't. I will miss Jim Scanlan's occasional "OHHHH BABY!!" when a Sioux player would score a very sweet goal.

I don't see the advantage of that. It'd just be fragmenting discussion in my opinion. There's only so many threads that can be or are worth discussing in regards to conference talk. You'd be looking at maybe 1-10 threads per subforum if that.

Guessing it's for moderator's to send warnings to a user when they are breaking the rules. My bet is you rack up enough warning "points" and you'll get get banned temporarily or something like that.

Zemgus Girgensons signed with the Buffalo Sabres. That's a blow to Vermont. Even if the kid would've most likely been a one and done. Schlossman says he'll most likely end up in the CHL.

Just like Willy, I was baffled by that comment as well. Bjugstad is good but he isn't even close to Toews' good. Bjugstad has lots of time to get better though.

Bjugstad returning is a good thing for college hockey even if he plays for the rodents. Should be an interesting final year of the WCHA. I can see UND and MN duking it out to finish first. The only two games they play each other should interesting to see how they match up against each other.
