Pattyn's. Nice birthday gift to himself. His first career goal playing for UND.
-
If he isn't, hopefully Koules was impressed enough and will talk how awesome UND was. Having both Koules and Jones on the team would be great.
-
It's in the most recent issue. I tried viewing the magazine online, they offer a free preview of a couple pages of the issue but not the actual article. It's mentioned in the index page of it though. Gotta pay for ESPN Insider membership to be able to read the whole thing.
-
Indeed. I have to say he's been doing much better than I would expect given the circumstances.
-
I'll take the split. Go Sioux! Games against Wisconsin are going to be pretty interesting.
-
I think you may be right. Matteau has been suspended for 7 USHL games as a result of end of game altercation in a game against Cedar Rapids on December 16th. Seems like he went ballistic... Only place where I see it listed as 7 games is on this website: http://www.dropyourg...spx?Game=378408 But also saw a reference about it on finishyourcheck.com which has a USHL discussion board: http://finishyourche...st__p__14716973 Also gleaned from that website that Minot, ND native Alex Schoenborn has signed with the Portland Winterhawks of the WHL. That's too bad to lose a chance on a North Dakota kid.
-
I'd rather have the kid say he isn't attending UND rather than him pulling a JT Miller at the 11th hour move. If the kid wants to go play for daddy, I hope he doesn't jerk UND's chain around in regards to making the decision.

I think the only person out of those three that you have to worry about leaving early after 1 or 2 years is Fasching.
-
Exactly, if anyone truly expected Fasching to land anywhere but Minnesota they must've known something everyone else didn't. Either way it is a solid pick up for Minnesota none the less. We just need to land another JToews caliber Canadian or something.
-
Nope, he would've graduated after the 2009-2010 season. He was in the same recruiting class as Chris VandeVelde.
-
I can concede/agree to that.
-
Well Mankato needs those kind of wins. While what tnt linked is a valid point, how often does that kind of comeback happen? Pretty special to see when it does happen though. Like I said though, I have nothing against continuing to score if it happens. I enjoyed the 11 goals the Sioux scored against Tech last year in a game.
-
Considering I wasn't conceived until 89'....nope. That's cool though!
-
Goes to show how much I know about Minnesota besides Bjugstad, Haula, and Budish.
-
Did I say what they should do on that 5x3 PP? All I said was that they didn't have to score anymore. Lucia could've easily sent out the 3rd and 4th lines on the PP to give them more ice time instead of the top line. However, I wouldn't be all surprised if Lucia put out the top line so as to make a point to Tech because of their antics. Either way, that 6th goal ended up breaking the camels back. PS And never did I say I was against piling up goals. I am just pointing out what probably led to the Tech players getting all hot and bothered.
-
Interesting, you must've seen something I didn't because you say coaches in the plural form. The only person yelling from Tech's side that was shown on TV was the bald assistant coach while it clearly showed Don and Grant yelling back at the guy. And no, it wasn't sarcasm. The game was well in hand when Minnesota scored the 4th goal. Scoring the 5th was acceptable but when they got that 5x3 PP they didn't have to score anymore. You may not believe in "running up the score" but that is what it was and of course Tech would start to get pissed. Hell, your team has been guilty of doing exactly what Tech has done as well. No team is immune to having emotions start boiling over when another team starts piling it on.
-
Anyone else watching the Michigan Tech and Minnesota game? Minnesota decides to run up the score and so of course things start getting intense and punches start being thrown. And then Don Lucia and Grant Potulny get in a shouting match with Michigan Tech's assistant coach. Pretty hilarious. And of course Gopher fans have to liken MTU to UND since it is all Michigan Tech's fault that the scrums started flaring up. They are the goons and as usual the Gophers are innocent in all of it.

Nice to earn the split. Gotta be impressed with Dell. He's been playing very solid and got rewarded with his 1st shutout of the season.
-
Wow, just what we didn't need. Losing Knight really sucks. Jayson says Knight is still being evaluated and could be a 4-6 week thing. We need Christmas break to arrive...
-
Wow, go figure.... UNO neutralized our top line very well. Man, so freaking disappointing/frustrating. I'm really beginning to hate UNO's guts.

Pretty sure he'd most certainly stay at UAH if the program lives to play another season. If he transfers with the UAH program still intact he'd not only lose a year but also a year of eligibility. The only reason he's pondering the transfer is because there is no transfer penalty if you are transferring from a program that is ending. Don't quote me on that though. xD
-
People who made the list obviously didn't do their studying. If you are going to list Bismarck, Minot is right up there. Especially over Fargo.
-
Not surprised considering I doubt many people even in Alaska watch UAA hockey. You won't see many people complaining because the fact that they offer free webcasts of the game is pretty damn cool since everywhere else you'll get charged for it.

Before the weekend, I was praying that the Sioux at least split the series with CC but to end up taking 4 points and sweeping CC is just awesome! There is no question, CC is a very, very good team. I hope we don't have to see Rylan Schwartz ever again this season. He definitely stood out more than his brother Jaden.

Kristo! Shorty! 4-2 Sioux. What a snipe! Holy moly!
