Morley, Mr. and Mrs. Siouxman departing Fergus Falls Wednesday am via 2005 Buick LeSabre, picking up Keikla at the Denver airport that night, and traveling to Southpaw's in Colorado Springs. On Thursday we all go to Denver. Reverse that order on Sunday morning with pictures of Fighting Sioux NC trophy..

What the hell is this "IF" stuff. Where are your true colors. I know they probably don't have an Italian Moon for your pre-game ritual, but this is the Frozen Four. GO SIOUX!
-
They were probably all young friends of Morley's. He has already passed the word about you.

I talked with him today as he bought an extra ticket that I had. He is hard at work obtaining tickets.
-
I am a little up in the air about tickets being available outside the arena at a decent price. This was easily the most difficult time we have had arranging tickets to the Frozen Four in the past few years. Michigan has a huge following, and I am anticipating that Notre Dame will have a big following. We all know no one follows BC.

Ticket is gone to some lucky Sioux fan!

Ticket is gone. It appears that we have an extra ticket to the Frozen Four, upper bowl. Would prefer to have it used by a Sioux Fan. Simply looking for face value or close to it. PM me if interested or call at 218-205-1769.

I have to pass this story on. Mrs. Siouxman and I were surrounded by avid and boisterous Badger fans. We had several UND fans down the row aways, but the rest were Badger fans. The three on my left were pretty decent. Those in front of us, to the right, and behind us were obnoxious and not as intelligent about hockey as they thought. The woman beside Mrs. Siouxman yelled at the Badger player for touching the puck, rather than let it go all the way to the end line for an icing. A Badger fan finally clued her in on that one. Back to the real story. When the Sioux scored to make it 2-1, of course the Badger fans cheered "You still suck! You still suck!" Just 48 seconds later when Duncan made it 2-2, there was no such cheer. So Mrs. Siouxman jumped to her feet and started yelling "We still suck! We still suck!" It was pretty quiet around us for the rest of the game.

Both Radke and Malone made some not so wise decisions in Madison. I can easily see them getting limited or no ice time in Denver. You can make points for either of them as for playing or not playing. The one thing that was obvious is that the line chemistry improved dramatically after they were both benched and Hakstol dropped down to three lines. UND immediately began to control the flow. As for defense against BC I would take Marto over LaPoint. Marto has much more speed. Although LaPoint is more physical, BC has many smaller fast skaters and I feel Marto would be a better option against them and he wouldn't be battling with many large forwards. Just my two cents, but I am no expert.

Sometimes you can fly cheaper out of Sioux Falls than you can from MSP. Illogical but it usually works.

Turris is going to get a real physical lesson in the NHL if he tries the crap he was doing against the Sioux. He kept crowding the faceoff spot, having his head in T.J. space and head butting him. The AR kept throwing him out for it and the WI fans couldn't figure out what was going on. I doubt he will try that for more than one game in the NHL. He also gave T.J. a couple of good shots to the head that the ref didn't see.

We had a great time in Madison as well. I cheered for WI on Saturday, and then thought it might have been a mistake with the way they played. They certainly played very well but seemed to run out of gas on Sunday. I thought Tom Oates column in the Monday Wisconsin State Journal was pretty harsh. I certainly would not have faulted the Badgers for their efforts. State Street Brats was a great place. Saw a lot of Sioux fans. I noticed last night as I was unpacking that our close still smelled like the brats inside that place. Siouxmama - We called you after the game on Sunday night to find out where the big party was, but we bumped into some people we met up at Houghton in October. Had a great time talking. Don't know if you headed home right away. We left Monday morning and drove through some blizzard conditions and slippery roads. A good time for sure, and I was impressed with downtown Madison. Off to Denver we go!

Make no mistake here, the Wisconsin team that beat Denver yesterday is a Wisconsin team that has not shown up earlier this season. They kicked Denver in every phase of the game. They were very physical and really began pounding the snot out of Denver in the second period. Connelly stood on his head a number of times yesterday. The question will be whether he can string two games in a row like that. If we see the Sioux team that played Princeton, we could be in big trouble. If we see the Sioux team that beat CC last Saturday, we will be fine. The Kohl Center was far from a sellout last night. We will have to see what happens tonight, but many of these WI fans are fair weather fans. The ones seated behind us last night didn't even know the WI players names. They simply had to refer to the jersey number.

I don't expect much from St. Cloud. The whole team had the jitters at the WCHA play-in game. From the very first shot on Weslosky, he was a basket case. If they were rattled at the Final Five, I doubt that they will be much better at the regional.

Didn't notice it. I did notice someone's "I'm not hostile and abusive" t-shirt showing up on the big screen. Nice job there Dagies. It took you two years to do it, but it got done. Now only if you really could dance.

We have our tickets and hotel. Got into the Concourse (thanks a bunch Bob) for $124 a night with the AARP discount.

We wound up in the same hotel as Fetch, but managed to survive. Other than the loss to Denver, it was a good trip. Thanks to MafiaMan for organizing the SiouxSports.com gathering at Hoggsbreath. We had just about 20 people there Saturday morning. It was a fun time. Those in attendance included Sioux-cia, Siouxmama, PCM, NDH, Mr & Mrs. Siouxman, MafiaMan, and a few others. Lots of good stories. Hoggsbreath promised to put us on the marquee next year if we give them a couple days notice! Also got to meet MeanEGirl Saturday night. Ate at Mickey's Diner, and that was an experience. While we were their, Georgia Engel (played Georgette on the Mary Tyler Moore show) was there. And yes, her real voice is the same as in the show. Now, it is time to work on getting to Madison.

No link, but I did hear at the Final Five that he will try skating tomorrow.

Count two for Mr. and Mrs. Siouxman please.

Pre-game party Cheer on the Fighting Sioux men
-
VandeVelde please (oh please, oh please, oh please) I would just like to past the first round for once.
-
Is that all the further your vehicle will go??

Sounds like a good idea MafiaMan. That way they can be prepared for us if we can get a rough idea of the number of people coming. What kind of start time are we talking? 10:30 am?? Last year was a blast, and this one is sounding like fun as well.
