Mom just sitting there while the little $hits climbed all over their grandmother while yelling as loud as they could! Too bad HockeyMom wasn't packin', could have saved her from a rotten headache! Should have video tapped the scene and sold it to Planned Parenthood!! They were classic birth control material!!!!

What is the difference between the Great West Football conference and the Gateway football conference? AND do teams on different conferences play against each other?

What annoys me? People who are constantly bitching about something! Oh, and 'the girlfriend'. She's annoying as well.

...every single game! Look for me in section 113 about seven rows up seat 4. It's been too long since I've sat there, I forgot the row!! Look for a dark haired woman wearing a Prpich jersey, jumping up and down and cheering every step of the way to #8!!!!

Just heard the news. Called my son and daughter-in-law. They're safe. I feel a guilty at how happy and relieved I'm feeling right now. My prayers are with the survivors, the dead and their loved ones.

Pat O'Brians in New Orleans. My bartender asked where I was from and I told her GF. She said she was from Rolla and had just graduated from UND with a degree in music. Her 18 year old sister was suppose to go to UND the following fall. Instead the sister got pregnant, baby's daddy dumped her, parents pissed off and barely speaking to her and she had no else where to go, blah blah blah. It was a case of role reversal!!! The bartender telling me her woes instead of the other way around. She just needed to vent to someone and I was from 'home'. Forgot to add, she gave me a Hurricane on the house! MAN, that was one strong drink!!!!!

When Prpich smiles, the opponents fall to the ice, grab their crotches, roll up into a fetal position and cry for their mommy (or urologist).

Do you know what's really bizarre about the whole Sioux name issue? Amongst the Lakota, Oglala, Dakota, Natkota, Oyate, etc. people, there is controversy about being called Sioux. I came across a Native American blog, http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseacti...logID=291536995 ,where he attempts to "debate the issue in a calm manner". So according to Gothmog, the Sioux shouldn't be calling themselves the Sioux either. It's offensive to some Native Americans.

Andrew Kozek. He's got a lot to prove this year and this would be a great way to start! I know he's got what it takes.

Fixed your post, . No where is it written that you or I have the right to not be offended. That's the crux of this whole thing isn't it? There are some people who are offended by the use of Native American names and logos for sports teams. I'm offended by some 'so-called' religions, some musical lyrics, by my neighbors intolerance of certain minorities, etc. I don't have any legal or moral rights that can make them change to what I want them to be. They also don't have any right to change anything about me or mine. That's America and that's why we live here and not in China, Russia, Saudi Arabia, India, etc.
-
How many members have to object? 1%/20%/100%? Scientific polls not linked to any institution have already proven that the majority of Native Americans do not object to Native American names and logos for sports teams. What more do you want? I have to go now. I have to pick up some items for friends. I'll be driving past Red Mesa High School home of the Redskins. I'm going to a flea market in Shiprock home of the Chieftains. At the flea market, the majority of the vendors Native Americans, I'll be assailed by blankets, tee-shirts, etc. of the two favorite NFL teams (my observation only based on clothing and bumper stickers) in the Four Corners area, the Redskins and the Raiders. Later..........

??? Isn't this case in a legal court of law? Is there a 'moral' court trying this case other than in the media? Just because you believe something is morally wrong that doesn't mean I do. I would defy anyone to find 12 or even just 6 jurors who have identical 'morals' unless they're the Stepford wives. Again, just because a few people believe something is 'hostile or abusive' that doesn't make it so. The case with the Sioux meeting in Bismarck is a clear example of the disparity amongst the Sioux 'leaders' and the rest of the tribe. The judicial committee has the majority of the tribe's approval to support the Fighting Sioux name and logo. The 'leaders' are against it. Have the people spoken? NO. A few men and women believe they know better than their constituents and have made a decision contrary to the what the majority wants.

Let me dumb it down for you. My point of view on this issue is the same, unchanged. Still over your head? I believed the NC$$ was wrong last August and I still believe the NC$$ is wrong. OK?
-
Lost perspective? Why don't you read this thread and show me where anyone on this board is saying anything different today than they did 11 months ago. No one now or ever is going to tell me how to think, how to vote, how to live, or what is morally right or wrong. Those are MY decisions to make and live with. If you believe that the UND Fighting Sioux name is 'hostile or abusive', then don't support it. I do not believe it is 'hostile or abusive' and will continue to support it. But I have to point out that this fight is not about a name or logo, it is about not lying down, bending over or going down on our knees because the NC$$ wants to dictate social mores to it's membership (to me).
-
NC$$ a sympathetic figure!!! Not a snowball's chance in Phoenix in July would ANYONE ever view a multi-billion dollar business (I don't care what any one says, the NC$$ is a business) as sympathetic. Why would a jury decide that the NC$$ dictating 'moral views' onto a state institution is not worth taking to court? This case has already been decided to have enough merit to present to a jury. Why would a jury decide that the judge who made the decision to proceed is wrong? The NC$$ should never have tried to force the opinion of an Executive Committee onto a state institution. If every member of the NC$$ truly believes that Native American names and logos for sports teams are 'hostile or abusive', why didn't Myles, et al, follow their own rules and put it to a membership vote? Could it be because the policy would not pass? I believe that is exactly why they didn't. And that's why we're going to win and the NC$$ isn't going to change any policy to override the court's decision.

North Dakota jurys are very conservative. While I believe that a jury will vote in our favor, award a monetary judgement and lawyers/court costs, I don't know that they would award 'millions'.

We're praying for you. Stay strong.
