Just reread the title to this thread. I dare say that the majority of us posting on SS.com could be charged with sexual conduct.

I'm not excluding any sport including hockey. But as DaveK and SirHinn point out these two sports do seem have more offenses given that most of us only know about those cases that are covered by the media.

From what I read in todays Trib report these guys are sexual predators. Would better screening of athletes have helped prevent them from getting their invites? I don't know. But there seems to be a large number of these sexual predators in college and professional sports.

I believe there are steps less drastic being taken. For instance, the auto industry could put sensors on the back of automobiles that let the driver know that there's something behind the car, better visuals/mirrors. AND, the reason for this thread, public awareness of the seriousness of this problem>>50 children a week are run over by a vehicle backing out of a driveway and 2 of those children die.

I'd love to have had number 8 already but damn it's been a great run the past few years. Our boys are the best in the country. It just wasn't meant to be but come 2008, number 8 is ours!!! In the past two weeks, two children in my health care service area have been run over by a relative. Both children were thought to be in the house but had run outside to the relative's vehicle. The four year old was run over, twice, by a Suburban and, miraculously, survived. No broken bones, no internal injuries. He spent two weeks in the hospital with burns caused by tire traction. A two year old was dead at the scene this week end. 50 children are victims of this type of accident every WEEK; 70% are run over by relatives!! About 2/50 are killed. Please, before you back out of your driveway, please, make sure there isn't a little one behind your vehicle.

Ok, I'm going to show my ignorance regarding football divisions now. What is FCS football and how does it differ from D1-AA? For that matter, I thought DI was D1. I don't know what D1-AA is either.

Listed in the top prospects are Kozek at 19 and Forney at 15. Kaip is listed in the 'other notables.' Don't know if this list is from before the camp or after. I have faith that these guys are going to have a stellar year and be instrumental in getting us #8!

Nope, was never in the military. Only married to one who was, worked with many who were and know many who had been. The closest I have been to being in the military was having worked at a VA medical center for eight years. My impression is military leaders lead with the 'do as I say, I know best, that's why I'm in charge' style' and subordinates are just that, subordinates. I agree with your assessment as to what a good military leader 'should be'. But as you point out, my limited military exposure is just that, limited. I agree with your last statement. But as I pointed out, I don't have the 'inside information' many who have posted in this thread propose to have. I expressed my opinion based on the information I read in Fee's blog. Given that is the only substantiated information I am privy to, my opinion remains unchanged.

Reading this, sounds like Buning needs to be more a team player than a team leader. Lot's of 'Heads of...' have to learn this lesson in order to make the rest of the team major contributors. Coming from an Army background, I can understand where Buning may need to to work on this aspect of his leadership style. Sorry but this doesn't read like the end of UND athletics to me. But then, I don't have any 'inside sources'.

Andrew and Rylan have the skills to make a big impact within the team next year. I can't remember how many posts Andrew hit last year!!! Hopefully, he's through with those and his shots are true this coming season.
