You must be majoring in logic at UND. You can't measure home winning percentage with different teams. It's apples and oranges. unds home winning record will only get better - with the state of dii fb how could it not. UND has a great home winning % and should be proud of it, but it's the road winning record that wins championships.
Actually it was the Western Washington game. Just seems funny that the alerus would under report fb attendance. If it's true that 58,000 is the number then your seeing a large decrease in attendance. 8200 per game vs. 9389 for 2004.
Why are the Alerus numbers different from the sioux sport dept.? Since the Alerus counts the gate I would think that they would have the correct numbers. I know for the West Chester game the paper gave the attendance of around 7000 and the sioux web site didn't report attendance for several weeks. Then they post an attendance of 9356?
I don't remember the consultants saying don't go DI. Must be UND logic. What are you going to say when UND decides to go DI under the same circumstances as NDSU and SDSU. All UND would have done then is be 5 or more years behind. Great leadership!
It's still a minor DI sport that few people follow, but hey if you think the world of sports revolve around hockey - great. Like when they canceled the NHL last year, did anyone notice? Most people don't care.
Poor pcm - if it was all about DI championships we start a hockey team. With only 13 true DI schools that play the sport it would be by far the easiest to win a NC.
Your forgetting about the recruiting in the last 3 years. Hey think what you want but until UND goes out and schedules some DI-AA teams it's only speculation.
Actually not true - back in 2003 we could have played the Griz 10 times and won maybe 2 times. Anything can happen in a one game deal. The Griz made the playoffs that year but lost in the first round at home. (and the Griz don't lose at home often) You can speculate all you want about how UND would do in DI-AA but that's all you can do. It seems like most UND fans use the NDSU game with the Griz as a measuring stick - well it's a short stick. Fact is DI-AA has better skill players and more speed than dii. Can a quality dii team beat a top 20 DI-AA team - sure in a one game series but game in and game out they will lose more than win.
