Then why have they included some of Boston College's incoming mighty-mites that will not be as good as Trupp and will likely never see a shift of Pro hockey. Take a look.

In the latest player rankings, Zajac is rated as the 10th best player in the Rookie category. http://www.tsn.ca/fantasy_news/feature/?fid=10841

Based on last nights TSN commentary, if they are to move after this season then KC is the only viable option. Winnipeg's arena is too small and wasn't built with an NHL team in mind.
-
I guess they consider Trupp to be chopped liver? Personally, I can't wait to see Hextall's grit added to the team, an intangible that never gets due consideration in these so called knowledgable rankings. I also think that Notre Dame's group, combined with what they already have, are going to put on a show next season.

Right you are, the Gophers always wait until the season is on the line.

Sounds like someone wouldn't recognize an underdog if it bit them on the butt. Oh wait, it did

Toews set up Canada's first goal and scored the 5th goal in a 5-2 exhibition win over Finland. The game could have been a blow out but the Finns have Rask in nets again this season. http://www.hockeycanada.ca/index.cfm/ci_id...ame_id/1093.htm -
If I were a Gopher's fan I would proudly wear a Blarney's shirt or jersey. Obviously, it has been a very valuable recruiting asset for them over the past several seasons.

Brent is talented and still plays for his hometown Weyburn bantam team as far as I know. The age is right but they wear Red uniforms if my memory isn't failing me. Benson and his family have been talking to SSM about him possibly attending high shool there so if it is him in the video watch for those moves in an arena near you.

Perhaps I am bit biased regarding one of my son's good friends but I believe that Colgate picked up a very intelligent D-man who will give them 100% every shift. Obviously I would have liked to see Wade with the Sioux as one thing they seem to be missing is the physical play from their blueliners. You get plenty of physical play experience in the Manitoba Junior league.

I still believe Greico will be this team's starting goaltender, perhaps sooner than later. His rebound control is not that bad for a freshman and even the NHL leader Huet relies on his D to clear rebounds in front of him rather than watching the other team get them unchallenged. Did the goalie switch light a spark under the team? I would offer that it was merely a little bit of fizzle as it was gone immediately after the second goal. It seems like only half a dozen of the current players are interested in giving the coaches a 60 minute effort.

What your list doesn't reflect is that UND lost the better players last year and that UMTC brought in the better players this year.

Toews is front row, third from the left, is this team photo. http://www.hockeycanada.ca/ -
When you pick players for DI it is with a view that there is the potential for them to get better, some take longer and some never do. Given the size of the Sophomore class you have to accept the good with the bad and hope that some of the others can elevate their play as juniors. Sadly for some of these players, the expectations at UND are such that they could be looking for playing time elsewhere next season.
-
How about the Sioux skaters clear some of those big fat rebounds instead of standing around watching the other team stand alone in front of their net to knock them home. At least Greico stops all the first shots.
-
I would think that Lapointe would wonder about this statement too. I think he has proven that he is ready to come in and we would see Genoway's creative play at forward on a regular basis.
-
I don't recall a weekend where the Sioux only got three goals agains the Huskies in a series, at home no less.
-
Nope, it was a pylon exercise for the Huskies and Lammy did his best imitation of the goalie board with five holes.
-
If it was my comment regarding Lee that upset you can I ask you if you think it is okay for him to watch opposing forwards get in his goaltender's wheelhouse and do nothing about it.
-
Lammy was beat on that shot that rang the pipe.
-
Has team USA been watching his play, I don't understand how he got selected.
-
Greico made some saves that Lammy may not have.
-
Four Sioux players around him and Gagner is left to hammer the rebound from under Greico. That is not Sioux hockey.

Then Shep calls Radke for cross checking on a clean physical hit.
