Why would you want somehting like that back. Besides, don't you guys get to hang the DQ Cup Banner from your rafters this year.

Hi Ya Slappy how's it going. You know perhaps the one move wonder was holding his hand to his ear all the way around the rink because it is still sore from the hits the Canadian D-men put on him at the WJC.
-
If you can make it you should try your luck at the card show in Fargo this Saturday. I believe it is still at the mall from 10-6 and I used to pick up Sioux memorabilia there from time to time.

That is the key point. If Blais hadn't had his previous successes some members of this chat would have been ready to crucify him for the two years in question. I still believe the Sioux are very well coached and I was hoping that despite their youth this would be a successful season based on the talent alone. As expected, some freshmen have adjusted better than others but just like last year it is the upperclassmen that have to show up each and every game in order for this team to succeed. I like how the team is playing defensively but the upperclassmen need to find a way to factor in on the scoring each and every game from here on in. Unfortunately, the large freshmen class has limited Hak's motivation options for this season.

I didn't spot this anywhere else but here is more recognition of Oshie's play on this months TSN NHL Fantasy. They highlight three propects from each level of play so just scroll down to the varsity report. http://www.tsn.ca/fantasy_news/news_story/...me=fantasy_news

No goals the entire weekend from either a Sophomore, Junior or Senior is not going to get you very far in Div 1 Hockey.
-
I am afraid that is the season
-
I nearly passed out from holding my breath. Sioux were very lucky.
-
Agreed, just look at the teams record when Stafford scores and when he doesn't.
-
If we only get goals from freshmen this weekend then I would say that would be a cause for concern.
-
Both goals this weekend have been by the fabulous frosh, Oshie and Toews. We need the seasoned players to step forward and do something. What has happened to Sparky lately?
-
Oshie to the rescue! 1-1 Now lets get going.

This was the last thing that needed to happen.

Thats how old the Huskies will be when they are still playing the East Coast Hockey League
-
Not too bad for a 17 year old teenager up against men who are 5-7 years his senior.
-
They are taking the hard shots in hopes of creating a rebound for a tap in. Goopfart stops the first shot every time
-
Wow that period went by quick.

Dirty take down by a Husky at the Blueline. PP Sioux

Guess I had better start mining the snowbanks in front of my house.

Maybe UND wouldn't have to fight if no talent teams like St Cloud stopped hacking and abusing the more talented Sioux players. Seriously your skilled players aren't going to be able to perform to their potential in the WCHA unless you have players that can clear the dirty chaff out of the way. I can't remember a WCHA player who was subjected to more of this type of abuse than Parise. Apparently, it is now happening to CCs Sterling and he may have a broken thumb courtesy of who else but the dirty Gophers. Yes this team may be the FIGHTING Sioux, but I would counter that the big whiners regarding this fact are usually the dirtiest teams in the NCAA and deserve every broken beak and sore noggin that is handed to them.

So we will be missing two regular D-men for Friday and St Cloud will be missing a player who has burned the Sioux a few times, Jensen with his knee injury. If the four intact Sioux forward lines can take the play to them on Friday it should put the Sioux in a good position to finish off the pesky Huskies. http://www.sctimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/artic.../101260018/1002

Actually, the dumbest thing I have ever seen was at the WJC when your one move wonder thought he could use his one move on the Canadian D-men. Wound up on his butt each and every time which also made it quite hilarious and my favorite moment from the tournament. The photo was also great and PCM's modification was priceless.

A real catch 22 isn't it. If he leads the Sioux to the Frozen Four the way he is capable of doing he is gone for sure. If he doesn't produce the way he should the rest of the season he could be left here. I would rather see the former wouldn't you.
