Oh how I wish the Sioux had a Lacrosse team in the seventies and I maybe could have been one of those overage Canadians. My poor skating wasn't going to take me any further in hockey so I made the switch and had a decent junior Lacrosse career with Cornwall.

Stafford, is acutually a perfect example of someone who should stay the full four years. We tend to forget how young he is and unless he goes on some kind of magical scoring streak the rest of the season, with the lineup that Buffalo has generated this season he would be looking forward to at least a full year in the minors. I believe that the two bigger flight risks from this years team are Smaby and Parise

Actually, I won't be surprised to see MTU take one. They are capable of playing good physical hockey which could knock the Gophers off of their game. Talk about a thread that is designed to lure the trolls in. I have my trusty whack a rodent mallet standing by.

I share the same sentiments as most of this post and would add that although he was only here a short time you could tell Belfour was going to be something special in net. Best Rodent exterminator was definitely Mike Commodore. Ask me the same question in a couple of years and the names Oshie and Toews may be on the list.

Absolutely, I lived in Colorado Springs for the past three years and we used to get a fantastic turn out at both rinks. In fact two years ago at Magness I would go as far to say that nearly a quarter of the rink was Sioux fans and we made more noise, but for good reason, the Sioux scored 10 goals in the Friday game and 6 on the Saturday. I was right behind the Pioneer bench and it was the best $48.00 on hockey tickets that I ever spent. Last year we had a great alumni dinner at the World Arena prior to the Saturday night game, with the coaches and their wives. I was chewing the fat with Eades and this one guy walked up to join our conversation wearing a Badger Jersey. Poor guy didn't realize the history of the man, kind of like waving red in front of the bull.

It seems to depend on who the official is. Some seem to skip the interpretation and jump straight to the disqualification. The Sioux have definitely earned some of their DQs while many of the calls against them have been at the opposite end of the spectrum and have been a factor in a couple of their losses. We can all agree that we would rather have played Bucky without Elliot.
