Now that is not a good rumour.
-
Sorry about the false assumption. Ah, Ron Hextall nephew of Bryan Hextall, one of the early great Canadians to star for the Sioux
-
You can have Quebec right now.
-
Thanks for the great news.

Second Period is over and Toews missed out on a goal with a quick whistle. Although he hasn't officially been given an assist he has played a role in the last two Canadian goals. What has amazed me even more is how he is schooling the Russians at winning faceoffs.

Kessel really does remind me of Jagirl. He doesn't backcheck and waits outside the blueline for the rest of the team to do the dirty work.
-
This post hits the nail right on the head and a perfect example in the Pros is Jagr. Definitely one of the most talented players in the game and usually leads the NHL in scoring. However, he eventually poisons every locker room he graces and how many Stanley Cups has he won without Super Mario? Zero!
-
Many non-Vancouver fans in Canada do boo him when he touches the puck.
-
Ah Dennis Hextall, one of the early great Canadians to star for the Sioux. On another note, the USA is currently playing Team Quebec in the Under 17 Gold Medal Game on TSN. The game is in Regina, Saskatchewan and I proud to report that I haven't heard a single boo from the Canadian fans towards either team. Slight edge in cheering for the Quebec team that features Esposito. It is 2-1 for Team Quebec late in the second period.

My favorite play of the tournament: Kessel in on Canadian D-Man Parent Tries his one act move Sits on Ice Priceless

USA fans, if you want to get even with the Vancouver fans just stay away from the 2010 Olympics. I also hope that CBC lets Don Cherry give it to them on Saturday night but he has to be more careful about what he says after upsetting the Quebecers two years ago.
-
Don't blame me for Douglas winning the greatest Canadian as I voted for Dr. Banting and Best. As I stated last night BC and Quebec are two completely different parts of Canada anyway and even TSN commented that this was an anomaly in their article about the game: "The 18,630-seat G.M. Place looked about two-thirds full for the game. The anti-American feelings evident all tournament continued with chants of "Russia, Russia," something rarely heard in a Canadian arena." http://www.tsn.ca/world_jrs/news_story/?ID=149345&hubname= Read the chat about the game below the article and you will find that the Vancouver fans are getting an earful from many other Canadians.

This is not the same Russian team that Canada beat in the exhibition game. I am not sure that the youth of Canada will be able to match a bunch of older Russian players who play pro hockey. I think Pogge the goaltender will have to have the game of his life.
-
At least Oshie hasn't quit trying. As for Ryan, someone needs to help the big guy develop a bit of an attitude or his hockey career will go nowhere.
-
No backcheck by the forwards, just when I thought it might turn around.
-
Finally they went to the net and produce a goal. Maybe the flood gates will open.
-
In the opinion of the TSN Analysts, during a pregame show, two players could be playing in the NHL right now, Malkin and Johnson.
-
They need to shoot the puck
-
Sorry about that it is 1214 here and I didn't even notice how it read. It would be Pouliot if it is the US and Latendresse if it is the Russians.
-
They had a few lacklustre shifts on the PP and Pouliot is the problem. He is not playing with enough passion and could find himself being the thirteenth forward in the Gold Medal Game. I think Sutter may want to use Latendresse against the Russians anyway as he has had great success in scoring against them.
-
Johnsons elbow must have had a bigger impact than I thought. I can tell you that I would never cheer for the Russians. However, two areas of Canada are completely different than the rest of us, BC and Quebec and I can't begin to explain how they think because I haven't figured it out myself If it is any help I have been told that people from BC are like your Californians whatever that means
-
Analysts just highlighted that the Kessel line is not backchecking which is going to burn the US.
-
Niskanen has been doing alright from what I can tell. He will probably get more ice time in this game with the injury to Chris Butler. That will be a big blow to the Pies if he is done for the season.
-
Hope you are sitting down. He went home for the holidays and got engaged.
