  1. 1. UND 2. Wisconsin 3. Minnesota 4. St Cloud 5. UMD 6. Denver 7. CC 8. AA 9. MSM 10.MTU
  2. Here is an interesting article for anyone who believes that both the one move wonder and the Don are assets to their team. In this article, one move's dad states that his little boy dropped in the draft because he wasn't utilized correctly by the Don. We may never know the whole truth regarding what went on behind the scenes but it certainly appears that things were far from perfect in Lala Land. http://www.startribune.com/512/story/620230.html
  3. Isn't it about time to kill this thread
  4. PCM where did you find the PK smiley. It looks just like him as he was laid out by the Canadian D-man at the WJC.
  5. Given his condition I would think that there has to be some personal risk in resuming the pressure of playing DI hockey. I wouldn't want the responsibility of making the decision to play him.
  6. He was against Alaska.
  7. As much fun as it would have been to see him poison the Goof locker room I am glad that we won't have to discuss Phil the Krill (formerly known as the one move wonder) again.
  8. If it was a serious knee injury he wouldn't have gone to the camp. The available press stated that he was riding the stationary bike while he was there, just not playing so I buy the line that he had only tweaked it.
  9. If you are refering to the Gryba situation the article was refering to the fact that if he wanted to go the Major Junior route in Canada he could only play for the WHL team that owned his rights. He could have gone to the Tier II BCJHL if he had wanted to.
  10. In terms of basic salary they would at least be very close but any guesses on what kind of a signing bonus he might get.
  11. By not accepting the player transfer deal the Russians will cut their own throats. More of their Elite young players will come to North America to play major junior hockey and they won't get a "Red" cent for any of them. Then they can step directly into the NHL ranks without all this nonsense just as Quebec City's Alexander Radulov will do this coming season. The loser in this case is the Moscow Dynamo. http://www.russianprospects.com/public/pro...p?player_id=273
  12. Also, one other question for those who may know more: Is there some rule where Canadian players have to play Junior A (or Tier I or whatever it is that isn't major juniors) in the prospective conferences whence they originate? So, for example, David Toews would have to play in the MJHL if he were to play in Canadian Juniors? (does Quebec even have a non major junior Tier I hockey league?) I can't seem to find any information about this ruling but I seem to recall a player recently running into that problem when he wanted to play in the BCHL but couldn't because he was from Saskatechewan (I want to say this was Eric Gryba, but I can't be sure).. Maybe I'm not using the right keywords in the google search...
  13. I can believe this typical troll response Wow
  14. I got corrected already, it was Rick.
  15. Malone would be a nice pick up but Siouxnami said Western Canada and Malone is from the far East. There isn't alot of talent left in Western Canada for 07 that isn't already claimed other than Bloodoff but I believe he may be going to the WHL. Or is Siouxnami talking about 08 and David Toews?
  16. So was Toews, and he still is What I find interesting is that, up until yesterday, a certain group of WCHA fans gushed that Kristo could very well be the blue chip recruit of his year group. One day later these same fans are exclaiming that he will never be as good as Parise or that he will never skate a day in the NCAA. Their team has already tapped into Austria and Wisconsin, so any guesses on where their next great contender/pretender will come from?
  17. At the U18 tournament in the Czech Republic, USA and Canada will play for Gold on Saturday as both teams swept their respective pools 3-0. Unfortunately Belfour has been his team's backup. Updated. This post has been simplified for a Skippy, the State of Hockey. By the way Skippy, besides the obvious seperation by a comma afeter the Czech Republic, the word both implies two. Example: Phil the Krill now realizes that this coming season he will be playing in BOTH the AHL and the NHL.
  18. Who is that standing over you PCM?
  19. Based on current trends in recruiting and turning Pro and if Kristo continues to develop at his current pace he will be the Sioux lineup before 09.
  20. The teams feature most of their best players who have only played junior hockey. Like the Russians with Malkin at the most recent WJC, some of the elite players are already playing in Pro leagues throughout Europe and will join their respective national team for the tournament.
  21. Toews was only 16 when he committed to UND.
  22. You forgot that he still has that one move but I can't call him that anymore. Due to his handling of both the draft and subsequent contract negotations he has managed to annoy numerous Bruins Bloggers and they have now dubbed him "Phil the Krill".
  23. obviously david Toews is, via winnepeg like his bro. tessier i dont know, but this... thanks to western college hockey blog suggested to me that he was from quebec?? --Kelsey Tessier-Colorado Outlaws AAA-Best friend of David Toews. Ranked as 10th best player for QMJHL draft by ISS. Excellent vision and a great skater.--
  24. Fitting that a UND sticker would be looking down at all the Gopher $^%# that normally fills "The John".
  25. At least your your team has the number one lock on choking. By the way how can you be Goldies Girl as he was neutered many years ago.
