All I've heard is negativity for this trade, as a long time Viking fan I like this deal, and ima tell you why. Opens up a bookoo of cap room for the purple posse to use on players like Samari Rolle or even Plaxico Burress if they wanna go that route. Hey guys Poncho here (haha just for laughs), I realize its been a rocky road ever since I've been here but I would like to thank you all for allowing me to reach 100 posts. It may seem like nothing to all of you but I'm glad that you've been able to forgive and forget. My first 100 have been a little suspect and i know that and I try to get a little better with each post. dont want to seem like the villain in all these but we'll need a little more then some bounces to make that run. Being removed from that part of the country it might help to get some outside opinion. It doesn't take my old buddy Gary Monsonberger (a math teacher in the fargo area) to see how average this team is. They are still very young, this is the WCHA team of the future in my view. It's the year of the Gophs, Tigers, and Badgers. The Sioux need this game bad tomorrow night in my view, because they can't afford being swept by the top 4, and splitting with teams 6-10 in the conference that just won't cut it. I dont see the WCHA playoffs being good to them. I dont want to sound pessimistic but if this team goes to the NCAA its at an at large bid as either a 3 or a 4 and going out east and dueling with a BC or Maine. These boys will use this year to mature and the next couple of years will be fun to see.

Very true, Murray is an interesting case to look at. I'm not positive but I believe he played on either the powerplay or regular lines with a couple of good former sioux players who are getting paid now. I still believe there is a combination of lack of senior leadership and coaching problems. With these kids getting drafted before they are freshman in college they've never been told not to do something. If I'm a Radke, Zajac, or Spirko i wouldn't listen to average seniors like Genoway and Fylling either. I'm not saying its right to think that way but I could see where they would be coming from.
