  1. Hey Poncho here, hate to be fussy but I believe you're forgetting Eddy Belfour who has a freshman came in played extremely well and won a national championship.
  2. Hey guys Poncho here, i showed that article to my Betsy tonight. It was very hard to watch her break down as she read threw it. It made me realize how hard the burden is of carrying the pressure a varsity star must deal with. I wish the very best for Jacques, his family, and his friends. Hopefully he'll play for the guys in green or maybe the boys in blue. I also feel an immense amount of stupidity for not making a serious comment right away on the article. I'd like to apologize to the NO.1sioux fan for my comments. Sorry if I'm bothering any of you, i'm knew to this sort of thing.
  3. Hey guys Poncho here, I think i'll stay out of the little catfight we have going on in here and throw my thoughts in. I hope Lammeroux continues to play and play well. Brandt hasnt impressed me in his 3 years of regular playing time. Jordan Parise hasn't impressed me at all through these two years so if i was making the call i'd have him as the three. i think you need to stick with your hot hand and keep you eggs in your own basket and not anybody elses. I realize this is a hard job, i bet you guys wish you had a given number 1 like Montoya over here for the boys in blue.
  4. Hey Poncho here, nothing new to add just thought i'd give kudos to Cali for a good idea. Hopefully we get a system similar to that at some point.
  5. Hey guys Poncho here, i was just wondering what weekend that series takes place and if it will be the CSTV game of the night? If anybody has answers to these questions it would be greatly appreciated if you let me know.
  6. Hey guys Poncho here, thought I'd throw my peso's into this topic as well, boy you guys have interesting stuff to talk about on here! At goalie I really enjoyed watching Kollar play when either Karl was hurt or not playing well and shut down the retards in red or the morons in maroon. At defense i really liked the way Tim O'Connel played, and Commodore as well. My favorite forward is a hard call to make but I would have to go with Kevin Spiewak he wasnt the flashiest player on the ice but he always worked hard and made his breaks.
  7. Hey guys Poncho here, im just wondering why Coach Hakstol was so short when it came to the injuries to Murray, Stafford, and Fabian. It would have been nice if he would have been able to elaborate on the stature of each injury. Just a thought hopefully they're all doing well.
  8. Hey Poncho here, i think i got an answer for your question my lad. If you go to Krenshaw's Sporting Goods on Layola Avenue they'll due it for about $15-20. Glad to help.
  9. Hey guys Poncho here, just referring to one of my previous posts on here i got a little vulgar and said some things that should be kept under the sheets. I'm just bitter my grandson Ryan from Wayzata, Minnesota recently got a minor in possession of alcohol and i guess i just sort of through my anger out into that post about the way the youth of this country is going. I hope i live to see the day when teenage kids with there lives in front of them dont go and throw it all away just so they can grind a drunk chick to an NWA cd. Again im very embarrassed with the words i chose to use and apologize with the greatest sincerity to those offended.
  10. Hey guys Poncho here, this may sound far-fetched but does anybody know where a good college buddy of mine Bill Colpitts is at right now. I know for a while he was doing some teaching in the Fargo-Moorhead area. I may seem like I'm off my rocker but I'd like to meet up with him if he's still in the area around the World Junior Tournament.
  11. Hey guys Poncho here, just thought i'd try and get some clarification from you. First off who are the Gemini and why are you trying to find their jerseys on a UND website. Did North Dakota recently receive another minor sports team, perhaps a CBA or IHL team, the Grand Forks Gemini? I dont like it but it aint my decision.
  12. Hey guys Poncho here, just thought i'd relay some conversation i took part in. My neighbor happens to be Michigan University Assistant coach Billy Powers. And last night his wife Susan turned 42 years young so the whole team and neighborhood went over to the Powers for a little get together (boy can that Montoya snarf done some lasagna). So we're standing in the social room (me, billy, and red berenson) and I asked what they thought of the gophers and instantly Coach Berenson said Irmen should try washing his stuff. He smelled like something i swerve across on the highway. We all got a good laugh out of that, then Betsy started to get tired so reluctantly i went home. The point I'm getting at is how can a university (even the morons in maroon) afford to shell out money for sticks and equipment but not wash it. I dont hear any complaints about Rastislav's B.O. haha am i right fellaz?
  13. Hey guys, i watched the UND-CC series from that hell hole down the road and the only thing i noticed was Parise flops like a dead muskie and goes down more than a 12 cent hooker and CC has nice new uniforms. I wasnt impressed at all with the style of play there i wouldnt be surprised if CC gets swept this weekend.
  14. Hey guys Poncho here, i'd just like to say this bogus unbalanced schedule is gonna haunt some deserving teams. Maybe a CC or Denver could get the short end of this stick my friends. Back when I played junior hockey up in the boondocks of Canada we played an unbalanced schedule that knocked us out of the playoffs. We needed a win going into our 7th game of the year with the Lanook Falls Flying Dutchmen and we lost 4-1. Everyone else played them 6 times and we missed that playoff spot. so hopefully the WCHA works this mess out and get back to a grit and bones schedule, so we can decide a real winner.
  15. Hey poncho here, i'd like to thank all of you for helping me and my Betsy get through this situation. I found the tickets I wanted and will make a week long journey back to my home state. I'm gonna meet up with my old buddy Sal from Cando and we'll probably go to the red pepper, before watching Canada-Sweden. Me and Bets got tickets for games 5-10 hopefully i'll run into some of you fine people there!
  16. Hey Poncho here, wish i could help u pal but im way over in Ann Arbor, hopefully FSN carries it so me and Betsy can watch it in the living room instead of going to that dive Brickey's Tavern. Really loud, the conceso is wretched, and its full of incompetent morons drinking green beer.
  17. Hey guys Poncho here, had my June send me some highlights over the computer, boy can that Brian Lee play eh? Im glad we got this boy before the boys east of the red got a chance. Hopefully all our recruits do well and stay safe. They all need to wear rubbers to we dont need a kid to throw them off or some raging STD's. And they need to stay off the bad stuff like pot brownies and snuff. They're at a hard time, hopefully they all show up clean and ready to play good hockey for our sioux.
  18. Hey guys Poncho here, thanks for the update maroon, of course Jacques wrote it the whole thing was in 1st person objective, someone didnt pay attention to his studies
  19. hey guys poncho here, just thought i'd throw my two cents in. I never liked UND's decision to go with Hakstol. I just never seemed to like the guy, funny story actually he spilled a drink on me at the El Roco about 5 years back when i was visiting my June. I think Hakstol is an exceptional recruiter but at the head coaching position he just hasnt impressed me. I thought they should have gone out of house to get a coach and run the risk of losing hakstol. Hopefully we get things turned around cant have the boys from sota infront for too long.
  20. Hey poncho here, amazing stat, maybe eventually the Alerus Center will be the new big house, ok maybe not.
  21. hey poncho here, dont buy into that bogus extended forcast stuff, me and the wife planned a trip to Graceland over that. It was supposed to be 72 and sunny all week. We get down there and sirens are going off and we experienced torrential rain fall and hail damage on the winnebago. Hopefully the weather stays well for this game, we field turf is slipprier then 8 baby pigs flappin in the mud.
  22. Hey guys, i drove up to houghton from ann arbor to watch the UND-Tech game, and i was amazed to see UND's defense be so dominating. It seems they can go anywhere and play a good stingy defense. As for Pitt St., i got relatives down there and we went down there earlier this year and watched them play Missouri-Rolla and i've never seen such an explosion. I've seen many blowouts in my day watching the ccha and all, but 91 points thats just insane. They seem to be cocky and love running up the score. Hopefully the cliche stands and defense wins over offense, eh boys
  23. hey guys poncho here, just wondering if anybody out there has any tickets they're willing to sell or if there are any available, if you do just give me a hoot on here.
