  1. Just thought i'd give the USA and USSR (unspeakable soviet sick retards) game some animosity leading to saturday. This is gonna be a huge test for the patriots in my view. The russians got big alex ovechkin who has a knack for the tick and the tack and can finish better than a kenyan sprinter! I hope are boys go out there and run those commies out of our great country. I'll be there with my buddy Sal from Cando cheering our boys on and hopeuflly all of you to. Go Patriots!
  2. can anybody clarify what I'm hearing about my Michigan boys (Montoya, Hensick, Porter, Brown, Hunwick, and soon to be Kessel) i've heard good things about the boys in blue hopefully they're true
  3. enjoyed the 2nd article on bochenski because it was actually about Bochenski, if everybody posted a game recap this site would be cluttered with random hogwash. Kudos to driscol for finding that article, as for you aber i believe its time to go back to the drawing board.
  4. its been a while but im back, i'd like to see everybody go back to an organ, old school you know enough of this loud jibberish
  5. Don't count your eggs before they hatch fellaz, the players threatened for a revolt, they'll do anything to go and take points from a big time program like the guys in green.
  6. You must be lonely, your the first person i've ever met claiming to actually be a Mankato hockey fan, kudos to you and god's speed.
  7. UMN 28 46 CC 28 42 Denver 28 37 UND 28 35 UW 28 32 UMD 28 27 SCSU 28 26 Mankato 28 17 AA 28 16 MTech 28 2 Seems like we got a fun little thing going over here, I feel like Miss Kleo with all this going on haha am i right fellaz? I see Wisconsin pi$$in this one right down there leg but still holding off the dogs for 5th. Very unrealistic for UND to run the table so i got them sitting in 4th. Hopefully they can though eh?
  8. Had my June email me the box score of the last Moorhead game, another trick for Vandevelde, hopefully he doesnt burn himself out by the time he gets here, haha am i right fellaz?
  9. Friday UND-3 UMD-2 (Lammeroux in net) Saturday UMD-5 UND-3 (Parise in net)
  10. i attended the Tryout Camp up at Engelstad in August and I was just wonedering why Brian Lee didn't participate in it. I also think it is outrageous that a player with the talent level of Robbie Earl didn't make the team this year. This may sound biased coming from a Michigan resident but I thought AJ Thelen was one of the top 3 defenseman at that tournament including the Swedish and Finnish teams. Maybe there are some things going on that I'm unaware of but until then I'll still have some questions for Sandelin if I ever run across him.
  11. It is a rule whether its a good one or not is to be determined. I believe a similar penalty was called on the Bucs Simeon Rice on Monday Night Football at the start of the year. Vanderjagt missed a kick on the initial play then the flag came out for upsportsmanlike concuct (leaping) and vanderjagt made the kick forcing ot, eventually leading to a colt win.
  12. I loved the Hall of Fame game jerseys as well, simple yet so complex. I'll tell you what should never come back. I believe it was in the 93-95 era, the plain North Dakota jerseys. It sickens me that somebody got paid to design that jersey, but at least they aren't as bad as the 95 Islanders disgusting.
  13. Write it down right now, UND will be the 2005 National Champions. They are returning an exceptional amount of people has documented by UND 92,96. They deserve to start the season in the Top 5 in the polls to start the year and should be there if not 1 for much of the season. Hopefully next year we'll be in the position Pitt State was in much of this season. In conclusion I would like to congratulate the Fighting Sioux football team on a great year and winning on the road in the playoffs. We've made great strides in the last decade we just need to keep going up.

    BCS

Living in Ann Arbor I've been able to experience many positives from the BCS. My wolverines (who got embarrassed by Ohio State) get an automatic bid for winning the Big 11. The system bothers me that a team in Auburn can go undefeated in the SEC beating Tennessee twice (on the road, and in atlanta at the SEC championship), defending national champion LSU, Florida on the road, and destroyed Georgia between the Hedges. I also feel bad for California who goes from playing the mighty maize and gold in the rose bowl, to playing Texas Tech in the Holiday Bowl. The only way a true champion can be chosen is to have a playoff. Critics say how much the bowls draw in money for the school so i have came up with a plan to make the system benfecial and fair. I believe a playoff can be made attainable by inviting the top two teams out of the SEC, ACC, Big 12, Big 11, and Pac 10. Then invite the conference champions (based on regular season records, thus eliminating conference championship games) from the Big East, Conference USA, Mt. West, WAC, MAC, and the best independant school (Notre Dame year in and out) and seed them accordingly. The number one team in the polls should play the 16 seed, 2-15, 3-14, and so on. In the first round of the playoffs 8 games will be played. Each game should be played at a different bowl site. For example USC (1) could play Toledo (#16 based on available teams) at the Sun Bowl a neutral site. #2 Oklahoma would meet #15 Ohio State at the Motor City Bowl, and so forth. The 4 major bowls (Rose, Sugar, Fiesta, and Orange) could still be the 4 biggest games. They could rotate every four years being the championship game as well as the semifinals. I believe this format is the closest you can get to a clear cut winner and keeping the universities happy and the bowls in tact. Sorry for the length of this post but hopefully it will inspire us to strive for a better system in Division 1 college football.
  15. I believe it's safe for me to say that UND has picked up the quality of their play in the past weeks. I watched yesterday nights game and saw that we ran into a hot goaltender, its as simple as that. It was obvious UND was the better all around team and we just didnt get the bounces when we needed them. The only thing I noticed is that I still think they need to shoot more, it seemed like they made an extra pass every time. Even on Spirko's goal, Murray can't pass up an open shot in the slot, I believe we got lucky on that one. The only way to beat a hot goaltender is to put shots on him and bang away at rebounds. Hopefully the guys in green can keep playing at the level they're at right now leading into Duluth. It could be a fun weekend. P.S. did anyone notice the maize and gold sweep Notre Dame?
  16. Good to see all of our UND recruits from Moorhead are playing well. Hopefully they maintain that style of play and come into camp next year ready to go.
  17. Im stunned, i send my thanks to you #1siouxfan.

    UAA

Hey guys Poncho here, just saying if this team is anything like Fairbanks in the CCHA this weekend should be a breeze. I know that earlier they lost Fournier before the season began. Their leading scorer is Justin Bourne a sophomore forward with a pretty good upside. They seem to be limited with senior leadership. Only one senior has over 5 points. Out of their top 10 scorers 7 r freshman or sophomores. You know the old cliche though a young team is a dangerous team. It'll be many of their first time playing in the Ralph they'll be pumped up and ready to go. GO SIOUX!
  19. Zajac was not invited to the latest Canadian camp according to reports that I read on Hockeys Future. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
  20. Hey guys Poncho here, just wondering why Minnesota players always seem to be involved in these sort of things. Its good that the guys in green never seem to be involved eh?
  21. Hey guys Poncho here, I'm starting to notice some negativitiy from all of you towards me, and I'm just hoping for a fresh start.
  22. Hey guys Poncho here, i think the quality of the game needs to pick up. People like watching a fast paced intense game. I also believe checking needs to become accepted. Over here in Michigan girls teams have been going strong for about the last 15 years and still the play of a midget girls team is like that of a boys peewee team. The biggest recipe to draw fans is to win and to play good hockey while doing. I have nothing against girls hockey and I do believe the girls deserve better turnouts. I hope UND continues to improve in Division 1 and the crowds go with it.
  23. Hey fellows Poncho here, just thought i'd say how nice the Pitt. State field is. That field turf sure gives it a good glow. I remember back when it was natural grass when constantly it would be torn up and muddy around playoff time. It's nice to see that this game will be played under better conditions then previous playoffs there. Another thing that logo might be one of the nicest ones of seen in my days.
