  1. Did like 500 other people just click on this at the same time as I did? Because it is slow as heck to scroll!
  2. Doooooooooooooooooo iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitttttttttttttttttttttttttt I'm going to be there, that should motivate you.
  3. I'm going to have to agree with Redwing and say it will go to the recreational vehicle from Miami. I expect tUMD to have someone in the top 10, but I expect it will be the wrong person. Mike Connolly is the most deserving player on the team but isn't getting the same attention that his linemates are.
  4. Not in the arena but right outside. Or I could make you run to the Sports Garden and back with FireHelmetGuy! I can't wait to see you! I'll message you my number, as I'm not sure I still have yours. Are you going on the Old People Bus? Black Bear isn't that far away from Duluth.
  5. What is she going to do if you don't find one for her? Go to the casino? Post your thoughts here after the game! I'll come back and check to see what people thought. I have this weird feeling there's going to be some horrible SNAFU where the video equipment doesn't work or the goal light doesn't come on or something. I know they've tested it all but I'm still nervous. Oh, and I'm nervous about the game, esp with our late breaking injury report...
  6. Anyone else besides YaneA going to the game? I'm interested to know what Sioux fans think of the arena. Obviously it's no marble palace like the Ralph but it will be nice to hear opposing fans's opinions.
  7. I hope he plays at AMSoil Arena, and takes a penalty. I will make a sign for him. Any guesses on what it might be?
  8. Josh Birkholz was right on top of the dope system.
  9. Really, come on, CowboyChuck has the right idea. While Genoway was doing his bag skating, here's what Mario Lamoureux was doing. Now that's how you deal with a tough loss. (you probably don't want to watch this at work with the sound on, and no it's not pr0n)
  10. Really? With what tickets? And also, what army? Tickets will go on sale in mid-to-late November, once all STHs pick their seats and their extra orders are fulfilled.
  11. The students will be on break, but I don't think that will make it any easier.
  12. Hello hello everyone. I don't know how many people will see this so early in the season, but I'm here to help. Ok first of all, the Dec 30th game is the opening of the new DECC (in case you live under a rock). Win or lose it should be a really fun atmosphere, and historic for those big college hockey dorks out there. However, it also will be hard to get tickets, and remember that it's on a Thursday night. New DECC ticket sales might not happen at the same time as old DECC ticket sales. The seats are not even in at the DECC. Then STHs have to select our seats, then they will assign the extra tickets to games that STHs ordered, and THEN they will be available to the general public. I haven't heard a peep from UMD about when I get to select my seat, so who knows what the time frame will be? I know Sioux-cia is going to be there though!!
  13. I'm just excited to be discussing physics!
  14. Wehrs gives little to no upward force. There is always a reactive force, yes, and if Wehrs had been stationary or pushing upward into the check it would have been greater, but Wehrs has little or no kinetic energy to transfer, and Frattin would actually LOSE kinetic energy because he transferred some of it to Wehrs. If you remember the hip check that... um... Hextall? or Blood? threw on Marvin where he stuck his butt out and Marvin went flying, that was because Hextall was ready for the hit, stuck his butt out and was moving into the hit. All that energy got transferred back to Marvin and whee!!!!!
  15. He would have bounced off at a different angle if he hadn't jumped into the hit. The angle he moves at doesn't make any sense otherwise. There is no way that he would bounced up. Wehrs would have had to be pushing back for that to happen, and he didn't. The only way he could have left his feet under power other than his own would be if Wehrs was trying to hit him back and there is no way he could have, he dropped like a stone.
  16. Uh, Dagies... that's not how physics works. And you know I love physics.
  17. Yes. You weren't there and didn't see it, nor did the camera, but that MUST be it. Excellent video, Redwing! I forgot about that.
  18. You were there? Jeez, I have not seen you in like 2 years. I was easy to find... in a toga going ballistic with .8 seconds to go. Sioux-cia was our good luck charm: she arrived just as Brady Lamb scored. Yeah!!!!
  19. I'm not surprised AT ALL about who started this thread... look who's at the top of the tunnel ready to jump off one bandwagon and onto another... Photo courtesy of Jupiter from GPL
  20. Is this my first post this season? Hmm. It's been awhile. I want to know if the guy/gal with the test decided to study or to go to the game! I am sitting in the Augsburg library after finishing 1 test and awaiting 1 more today and 1 tomorrow, and there was no question in my mind between game and studying. Hope you made it down. Thanks to the sioux fans who helped take away the home ice advantage on thursday night (which Gopher fans assisted with last night), and I hope UMD can count on your support tonight? There is history to be made. Remember, our fans haven't had a lot to cheer about in the past 4 years. Making the NCAAs and the FF championship game is old hat to you guys, but it's still pretty special to us. Help some long-suffering fans out and cheer for the Dogs to bring the Broadmoor back to the Midwest!
