  1. I think great players allow coaches more options to be successful.
  2. My son-in-law was with the Eagles his last year. Said Andy was a great coach. However, you need talent and depth especially at NFL and college levels.
  3. Philly fans claimed Andy Reid was too old, couldn’t relate to players, looked half asleep on the sidelines and couldn’t coach.
  4. He does. Don’t know the details.
  5. Are you still at the airport?
  6. I did consider and players are also accountable to do what’s necessary to improve. I don’t believe a guy who puts in the work all through HS and played well whenever he got on the field wasn’t willing to work but I wouldn’t know cuz I’m not there. Getting guys to put in the work is part of coaching.
  7. That would be a mistake. You look at the current staff and figure out who the players respect and will play for. You need to know who are key recruiters. You interview them to see who can best help with the tradition.
  8. At that level, position coaches have key roles. They are involved in player decisions and developing schemes.
  9. I believe you are correct and possibly Weiss from UMD but I’m not sure.
  10. Miller also confirmed it is Schmidt. I’m not aware Baldwin applied.
  11. I think RRingers source got it right. My reliable source communicates regularly with Kelly. I believe it’s fair for them to confirm but I believe the ss.com has it correct.
  12. I would think he will need to evaluate who he might keep. If he were moving from D2 or different FCS program he may bring guys from his present staff. Tougher to get FBS coordinators to drop down cuz of less $. I would consider Freuchte as OC cuz of relationships with players and it can help with the transition. He would be able to advise regarding position coaches who players respect and which coaches may be great recruiters. I would guess he will have a lot of new guys.
  13. UND has their new HC. I’m not sure when they will announce. Let’s see how quickly he can assemble his staff and get to work.
  14. Yup
  15. Correct
  16. No. Working on HC first.
  17. It means they have each other’s backs and are waiting to see how the coaching choice affects them and their families.
  18. I think it depends on the source. If you get info from a reliable inside source, you let them share it if they wish. Most of them will share only with trusted contacts and allow the University the privilege of informing players first, then the public.
  19. Of the 2, I’d say Sesame.
  20. I wouldn’t go down that rabbit hole with anyone. Bubba is a non issue except for those who can’t let it go. The fact is an FCS HC is a great stepping stone if you get the program turned around. The University, the campus and the new facilities are outstanding. If you are successful in the MVFC you can move up. UND admin is supportive.
  21. What street would that be?
  22. You didn’t hear him say that. It’s a great opportunity for him to get that elusive HC block checked on his résumé’ at an FCS school positioned for success.
  23. QB situation was Danny, then Freuchte and Bubba. Danny then Freuchte obviously didn’t see what some here have read about the other QB’s. I still can’t understand how we didn’t develop Feeney in the time he was here and that is more our OC’s. Did you compare the incoming QB recruit with the NDSU recruit? There is a big difference. I agree that he has all the makings of a star in the making for reasons you cited.
  24. I don’t believe he did. Didn’t seem to be calling the plays. Mostly involved in decisions about going for it on 3rd or 4th down, fake punt, onside kicks etc. May suggest or veto a call but if you watch him on sidelines it didn’t look like he was calling plays.
  25. Adam Thielen is still in the NFL.
