  1. After a goof penalty kill- we should have held up the Mittelstadt poster of the failed pull-up with the fans cheering them "back to full strength"--Mittelstadt strength....
  2. I miss MJL singing every time there is a female vocalist, They sing too slowly and drag out the Anthem. Every one of them! That is why MJL is the BEST!! He sings it correctly.
  3. I was up at the games live this past weekend. And besides the really bad ice, it was very clear that the clutch and grab, hook and hold, old time WCHA problem was very evident. Even if the PP was terrible, the ability to use your skill was significantly impaired by the lack of being able to simply MOVE quite often. Which makes the PP even more important, as when something is finally called, we need to capitalize on it, and just did not (yet). So PP really needs to improve (broken record thought, sorry).
  4. Lets see...Haula sits the game, and the Wild win with a shutout. Hmmmm. Perhaps limiting ex-gophs on the ice is the formula for success?? Just sayin..
  5. Yes, my buddy had a pack of cookies confiscated. But they missed my miniatures.....sweet.
  6. Just an FYI about Scheels arena: Last time on the first night it was check your ticket and go in. Second night it was get searched before admission to catch any booze (or food too) coming in, but that got stopped as it took too long and lines were backed up so far they would not get people in before game time, so they stopped. I have no idea what the plans are this year, just be aware....
  7. Checking was awesome...but I wonder if East refs will give most of them the penalty. Sorry for the Debbie downer attitude, but playoff hockey seems to be pretty wussified...
  8. Drake Caggula just scored his second of the year for Edmonton to tie Stetchers canucks 1-1. Nice PPG slammed in as a one timer from the slot.
  9. Quote: It has already be brought up about the snow that hit out there last week. http://www.geoengineeringwatch.org/power-structure-wages-weather-warfare-against-dakota-pipeline-protesters/ My God. Thinking like that and living in this country---- no wonder we "disagree" so strongly. Is our education system that far gone???
  10. Jill stein just caused the state of Michigan to go to Trump. He won by 10.000 votes. She got 51,000, taken most likely from Clinton. Now she wants another review?? Check it out: http://www.freep.com/story/news/politics/2016/11/23/donald-trump-wins-michigan-votes/94360852/
  11. Any thoughts on Wolonin? To my view of both games he made some good plays, but overshadowed them by too many bonehead plays. Is he ready? or can we expect this issue for weeks to come?

    Manitoba?

They hammered the new Univ Jamestown team 3 weeks ago, twice. 6-0 and 9-0. UJ has 75% freshmen. That was their first ever games. But 2 weeks ago UJ beat NDSU club team twice. 8-1 and 6-3. Odd trivia: UJ first goal ever (vs NDSU) was a 3 on 5 shortie scored by a kid from Australia...... Second goal was a 4 on 5 shortie a few minutes later vs NDSU.
  13. PyeongChang, South Korea, won the bid for the 2018 Olympics on July 6, 2011, beating out Munich and Annecy, France. The opening ceremony is set for Feb. 9 and the closing ceremony is scheduled for Feb. 25.
  14. Article says Miami will have 14 freshmen......ouch.
  15. When I am logged in it goes to my last viewed comment. If not logged in it goes to page 1.
  16. Maybe you need to change your perspective, like I have. Twins are currently just barely out of "first place" struggling to "beat" Atlanta for the honor. I enjoy game updates way more since looking at this the "right" way.....
  17. According to the Bison News Only (Fargo Forum) Carson Wentz woke up and ate breakfast today! Just keeping you in-forumed.....
  18. I live in W. Fargo and made 4 trips up for games. Could not find anyone to go with me for most. Too busy with yard work, family issues, and just "busy". Scheels arena a few years ago was more buzzing, but they were so not ready to host yet...(esp parking) and had other issues. Last weekend was really disappointing in attendance,. This weekend was just poor, but not terrible. Many more Canucks in Fargo tho. Anyway, if I can drive up 4 times in a week, locals can go with less effort and did not.
  19. The above link would not open for me. Google of the name gave me this link which showed the article: https://seamoresports.com/
  20. Just walked away from MSG box office. Ticketmaster tix sale on April 18. BO tix not till April 19. Want to get em here to skip fees.
  21. Amen. We cannot fully understand just how much the Gift of the arena has meant. But how many recruits have noted "the facilities" as one of their top 3 reasons to choose UND? All? So I agree: Thank You Engelstads!
  22. Dave B: Your article shows amazing data. I have followed Sioux since 1976- some weak years then, but still had Taylor-Smail-Patrick-Iwabuci et al. Now with tickets since new Ralph- finally got to see games again and since 2001. Lots of them. But you really stated what I have felt: we may not win a "natty" every year, but we see amazing players and teams every year. No program has shown that overall consistency. Thanks to the players for each year we have been privileged to watch. And double thanks to this years crew! Hope you all come back for another go.
  23. Here is the link to the yet-not official story: http://www.uscho.com/2016/03/27/sources-wisconsin-preparing-to-name-tony-granato-coach/
  24. The player who stood out most to me tonight was Stetcher. He was just plain awesome in his effort, and the unselfish play with hard work to get clear of traffic, then dish off a pass to a teammate for a better shot instead of trying to finish a "I can do it myself" effort. He did not hit the score sheet, as his dishes did not generate a goal, but what a beast of an effort to try to do so. And how can you not love the Gardner-Poganski-L. Johnson line.. Who will be able to match that physicality?? Wow. That 5th goal was frosting on the cake delivered by one hard working group. Can't wait for more heroics to come from this team.
