  1. Is the Mountain West now going to target Utah State? Utah State turned them down once to hold the WAC together. I don't think anyone would blame them for bolting now.
  2. Kirk's Call: Gothberg's path showing promise
  3. A niche sport that I get to watch live on TV in Florida with my family.
  4. 11,742 in a non-conference sell-out for the Sioux vs. 12,200 for the first playoff game in the existence of F'dome. Must be due to the weather in ND. Or Thanksgiving. Or the students weren't there. Wait a minute all of those pertain to UND and even still SELL OUT.
  5. Koch, UNI down N. Dakota Rebounding seems to be a continuing issue. The Sioux are a young team. Hopefully this will turn around with age and experience.
  6. He's sharing that slice
  7. Sioux lose to UNI, but are getting better. Late surge lifts Northern Iowa past Fighting Sioux
  8. Looked like on the neck.
  9. I can only imagine what you are going through, Marlin. Our prayers are with you.
  10. I hadn't been to The Boardsroom in a while, but found this piece this morning by Pat regarding Martin and hit. It was written last month. Hockey needs to figure this out
  11. If I were a head coach (scary, huh) and saw that on weekly basis my offense was under performing and I had years of experience as an OC, I would want to take over the reigns. The performance of this team and it's coaches is ultimately Mussman's responsibility. I use the New Orleans Saints as an example of a head coach who has an offense driven mind. Payton defers all of the responsibilities of the defense to Gregg Williams, but Payton runs the offense. He has an OC who assists him, but Payton calls the shots. Here is an article from last year in regards to the relationship the Saints OC has in the overall scheme. Ultimately the success or failure of Sioux football rests on Mussman.
  12. You would think the students would have come in droves for Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne.
  13. Sioux lose by 10.
  14. Back up to 8 with 10 seconds left. Sioux have made some youthful mistakes in the last minute.
  15. 28 seconds left IPFW still up by 4. IPFW has the ball with 18 on the shot clock.
  16. Down 4 with 1:30 to go.
  17. Sioux take a TO. Still a winnable game.
  18. Down 9 with two and a half minutes left. Down 6 with 2:15 left.
  19. SIoux are trailing 40-30 at halftime. Huff hit a half-court shot to get it down to 10. Sioux started verrrrry slow and have played them somewhat even since. I don't know a lot about different BB offenses, but I really can't figure out UND's offense. It seem like they lack penetration into the defense, except when they throw a wild ill-advised pass. Maybe it's just my age and I'm more used to the old structured offenses from days gone by. FSSN and FCS are great. Very cool to be able to watch my favorite team play on TV like this. Another half to go. Let's go Sioux!!!
  20. Are you thinking Sunbelt or is C-USA going to offer?
  21. [url=http://www.grandforksherald.com/event/article/id/184384/]
  22. Checking out the box score. The Sioux didn't have 100 yards passing or rushing. I wonder when the last time that happened? The most positive part of the game is that few saw the debacle. Attendance was 3918.
  23. WAC teleconference spurs rumors and speculation
  24. To the average fan, perhaps not, but to the Big Sky Conference, this would be huge. Idaho is also a flagship school, not a directional school or commuter college. One of the reasons that North Dakota was added to the Big Sky was UND added to the academic side of the conference affiliation. Idaho was ranked a little bit better in the recent USNews Tier I rankings, so academically they would be nice for the Big Sky. Would love to see it happen, but it is a low probability.
  25. Wouldn't that just be horrible if Idaho were to go back to the Big Sky?? I know the odds are against it, but with the way the conference shuffles are going, who knows?
