  1. Here is the link to the thread. http://siouxsports.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=6870
  2. Looks like I ruffled someone's feathers. When I write up a proposal for something, which I do on a daily basis, I have all of the information that I need to write an informed proposal. That is why I still have a job. Neither you or I have all of the information at this time to evaluate this decision. The leadership at UND has the information and resources to make this decision. By the way keep it up taking the Lord's name in vain and you will be the only person on my ignore list.
  3. Haven't we already determined that you did go to SDSU? http://siouxsports.com/forums/index.php?sh...mp;#entry169847 Do you really think that any of us have it all figured out? If we did we wouldn't be sitting here typing it on a message board. It's easy to spout off how bad things are going to be at UND two years from now, as you probably will have moved on from this board by that time when things really aren't as bleak as you had predicted. Kupchella has stated that he wants to take the next year to get things in order. Time will tell who is right.
  4. I think you're missing Jim's point.

Except for the part about disliking Bush, I agree with your post. I believe there a couple of commandments that would be violated by worshipping a picture of Bush. As for not being impressed with the two parties, depending on whether you are to the right or the left, there are options. Have you ever listened to Neal Boortz on the radio? He is a Libertarian and bashes both the Republicans and Democrats and pushes the Fair Tax, which I support after reading the book. He does lean toward the right, though and supports Bush on many issues. Didn't mean to hijack the thread.
  6. Show me where these two conditions are placed in the way of UND moving from Division II to Division I. http://www.theralph.com/new2/Press_Releases/06_Division1.htm
  7. I think their defense is going to be "The Big 10 made us play them". I agree, hypocrites.
  8. Continuation of story above. Seminole Test Case
  9. Back in 2004, UND was ranked #14. Nice move up the rankiings. UND Ranks 8th
  10. I know that these rankings mean nothing, but I saw this over on anygivensaturday. UND is ranked #9 and NDSU ranked #10. Massey Ratings
  11. I'm sure that there are a numberBison fans and a few Sioux who don't want the rivalry renewed. I for one would love to see it renewed. I grew up with the whole UND/NDSU feud. Let's play some Family Feud NoDak style.
  12. UND News regarding 2006 enrollment Enrollment Figures
  13. Corrected the link. Enrollment Drops To increase enrollment requirements, as UND has this year, and lose less than 1% in enrollment isn't bad. I had heard/read that President Kupchella is looking to level off at about 14,000-15,000. I can see that happening in a few years.
  14. The WCF newspaper has posted some pictures of the game UND/UNI Pics
  15. I think that things got more difficult for SDSU for this weekend, not that it would have been easy to begin with. UNI will be looking for revenge on Family Day and unfortunately, SDSU will be the target. I watched part of the webcast yesterday of the SDSU/Montana game and really questioned the call to kick a 60 yard field goal before halftime. The bunnies were lucky that Montana only scored a field goal after that questionable call. Good luck this weekend.
  16. I'm sure that today didn't hurt insofar as recruiting in Iowa either. I just can't seem to wipe this smile off my face. WOW, what a game.
  17. What a great day for UND football!!!!! Thanks to all those who kept up the posting during the game this afternoon/evening. You were my link to the game. Great day to be a Sioux fan, as most are.
  18. Thanks to the Bison fans that have checked in to offer congratulations.
  19. What about this Airline.
  20. Okay, I could have gone my whole life without reading about the "grave robbers".
  21. Yes, here is the link for it. Big Sky Expansion
  22. Lighten up Francis.
  23. I tend to agree that alumni distribution for both UND and NDSU would in all probability be very similar. The campuses are nearly the same size and have pretty much the same kids attending. Why wouldn't they be going the same directions upon graduation. When I graduated in the mid 80's most of the graduates were going to MSP, Denver, Seattle and Phoenix. I know of one friend who went to Chicago. Detroit, Indy and KC were not hot on the list. In my post regarding Sioux fans attending games, I purposely put Seattle with Portland, as I know many grads in the Seattle metro that would drive down to Portland to see the Sioux. I forgot to mention the large alumni base in Phoenix, who might make the trek north to Flagstaff for games. I saw some numbers on where the UND alumni are a few years ago. I'll try to put my hands on it again. Thanks for the map Hansel.
  24. Go back a few posts where I said that UND would still schedule NDSU and SDSU, in addition to Big Sky schools. The more recognizable the name the more likely you are to have fans turn out. Getting into the Big Sky would mean that the sizable alumni base in both Denver and Seattle/Portland would be able to see the Sioux play, hence more support ($$). I'm not discounting the Mid-Con, I'm just saying the Big Sky is more attractive. Ask most NDSU fans a year ago and they would tell you the same thing. Some will still say it.
