No it just sounds sounds like it is. When is FSU coming to Fargo or is it Alabama? Too bad that the largest market in the state is also filled with UND fans, whereas UND completely controls the Grand Forks market and from the looks of the comments on Bisonville, the Bismarck market as well. By the way you better tell the people at Florida, Florida State, Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Georgia Tech.... that they are killing themselves on revenue by scheduling their in-state rivals.

JBB, your figures only work if both teams were at home on the same weekend. In actuality it is an away game for one of the teams and a cheap away game at that. That still leaves the away team to schedule another home game and add revenue. The revenue from radio and television are obviously much larger for a UND/NDSU game than they would be any other game the schools would schedule. I know that you will try and refute that fact, but it is true. The whole state gets up for that game. If the leadership is so great at NDSU, as most bison fans claim, they would be fools not to want the $$$. I'm sure that UND will do just fine with scheduling and will not have to run to NDSU's finger snap. Buning has already contacted NDSU about future scheduling and from the sounds of it will probably happen in either 2008 or 2009. As much as some NDSU fans hate to admit it, UND hockey will help in scheduling. I can see UND contacting Maine, New Hampshire and some other hockey schools for scheduling. You can hold your comments regarding UND being in NDSU's shadow, until NDSU starts hanging some Division I NC banners. It is disrespectful to come on "your rival's" board with that kind of talk. Once again congratulations on your victory over Ball State last weekend, but don't let it detoriorate into trash talking.

Looks like I ruffled someone's feathers. When I write up a proposal for something, which I do on a daily basis, I have all of the information that I need to write an informed proposal. That is why I still have a job. Neither you or I have all of the information at this time to evaluate this decision. The leadership at UND has the information and resources to make this decision. By the way keep it up taking the Lord's name in vain and you will be the only person on my ignore list.

If we did we wouldn't be sitting here typing it on a message board. It's easy to spout off how bad things are going to be at UND two years from now, as you probably will have moved on from this board by that time when things really aren't as bleak as you had predicted. Kupchella has stated that he wants to take the next year to get things in order. Time will tell who is right.

Except for the part about disliking Bush, I agree with your post. I believe there a couple of commandments that would be violated by worshipping a picture of Bush. As for not being impressed with the two parties, depending on whether you are to the right or the left, there are options. Have you ever listened to Neal Boortz on the radio? He is a Libertarian and bashes both the Republicans and Democrats and pushes the Fair Tax, which I support after reading the book. He does lean toward the right, though and supports Bush on many issues. Didn't mean to hijack the thread.

I'm sure that there are a numberBison fans and a few Sioux who don't want the rivalry renewed. I for one would love to see it renewed. I grew up with the whole UND/NDSU feud. Let's play some Family Feud NoDak style.

Corrected the link. Enrollment Drops To increase enrollment requirements, as UND has this year, and lose less than 1% in enrollment isn't bad. I had heard/read that President Kupchella is looking to level off at about 14,000-15,000. I can see that happening in a few years.

I think that things got more difficult for SDSU for this weekend, not that it would have been easy to begin with. UNI will be looking for revenge on Family Day and unfortunately, SDSU will be the target. I watched part of the webcast yesterday of the SDSU/Montana game and really questioned the call to kick a 60 yard field goal before halftime. The bunnies were lucky that Montana only scored a field goal after that questionable call. Good luck this weekend.

I'm sure that today didn't hurt insofar as recruiting in Iowa either. I just can't seem to wipe this smile off my face. WOW, what a game.
