  1. Congrats! Nice investment. Got any more tips.
  2. Being a conservative I'm not a big fan of Susan Estrich, but this piece caught my eye. Evidently Estrich watched a version of the Hitler clip about Hillary. Is Hitler Funny? When I first watched the UND version of the bunker, I admit that I snickered a little until I thought a little deeper about the "real" Hitler.
  3. There is a nicer one somewhere else in the world?
  4. EERC's new hydrogen facility already short on space Is the reason that there is discussion about putting the practice facility next to the Alerus because the National Hydrogen Center is going to be expanded and needs more room?
  5. I kind of thought the same thing.
  6. Coup means a shift in power in higher ed And people wonder why the presidential search committee went with the high threshold to bring a candidate before the SBoHE???
  7. [url=http://www.in-forum.com/articles/index.cfm?id=201536&section=Columnists&columnist=Matt%20Von%20Pinnon]NDSU, UND rivalry at heart of today
  8. I know that I've said it before, but I can see baseball being cut at UND. It doesn't generate revenue, the climate during the college baseball season is not great, Kraft Field is not a Division I facility and it isn't a sport that UND will be competitive in on a national level. This is where The Sicatoka steps in and produces a myriad of reasons why lacrosse should be added.
  9. I know that I posted this once in a thread a couple of years ago, but Community Coffee's New Orleans blend is the best coffee that I've found. We cold brew it at home and then blend it to desired strength.
  10. Volleyball adds five to the 2008 roster
  11. No, he was Uncle Joe's lap dog and did whatever Uncle Joe asked. The whole Potts fiasco was steeped in politics.
  12. Duncan to return for senior season
  13. So we are calling the board weak, instead of calling Paulsen out as controlling. I think adding the name Alabama in the description of Potts is meant to mean, he is not one of us. Chapman was the one not being held accountable, not Potts. I don't want to know what the board swallowed, but the blame for the "fiasco" is clearly at the feet of Paulsen.
  14. Believe it or not....Free to Air
  15. Lacrosse at the Alerus in April makes a whole lot more sense than Sioux Baseball at Apollo in April. Hopefully, Mr. Faison reads this board on a regular basis.
  16. This group is going to be fun to watch in a couple of years. Go Sioux !!!!
  17. I think that both the NCAA and the UN would have NDHSAA beat.
  18. You make it sound like there would be no interest in lacrosse at UND unless HS kids in ND are playing the sport. There are kids in MSP metro playing the game. There are kids all over Canada playing the game. It seems to me adding lacrosse would be a positive in a few ways. Participation in a growing sport where UND could be competitive on a national stage. Increase enrollment with students who may have gone elsewhere. Provide a sport with positive or at the very worst neutral revenue. More activity at the Alerus/Canad complex. Thankfully, you are not the AD or president at North Dakota.
  19. The simple fact that there are Bison fans all over this is proof enough that they wish at least one of these young men would have walked-on rather than go to UND. I'm pleased that Jones is getting all of these talented local kids. As was stated earlier, having some local flavor will get fans to come to the games. Sure it may be a couple of years before the fruits of labor pay off, but UND is taking steps in the right direction. Go Sioux!!!
  20. A knowledgeable source reminded me that the Mississippi College Choctaws were also granted a waiver by the NCAA.
  21. Seminoles, Utes, Illini, Chippewa, and I believe Braves are all still being used.
  22. UND has had baseball for a very long time. How long has the NDHSAA sponsored baseball? When I was in HS (I know that was a long time ago), the high schools didn't have baseball. It was American Legion baseball. Should UND not have had a baseball team until the NDHSAA sponsored it? I agree with Stomer lacrosse would be a nice market for UND and North Dakota as a whole.
  23. I'm talking about life. "Rich" people create jobs. The only jobs poor people create is more people to handle entitlement programs. As Neil Boortz puts it, we are creating a "mommy culture" that can't take care of itself. I just wish all of the "doofs" (republicans and democrats) in DC would stop spending so much money.
  24. Looks like Coach Jones is building a nice future for the program.
