That is also how I got my current job. I spent a day driving around the region in my suit dropping off resumes in person and asking them to keep me in mind if anything ever opened up. Just over a month later I received a phone call that a position had opened up. I interviewed and had the job within a week. That was over three years ago and I am still with the same company.

The Betty was a horribly designed basketball facility that was rushed just for the World Juniors. It looks and feels like a multicourt practice facility. And the lack of a concourse absolutely boggles my mind. The Betty should have been modeled after Minnesota State's Taylor Center. I guess I never thought that the basketball games at the Ralph were as bad as others seem to remember. I definitely think there are things that could be done in the Ralph to improve it's basketball atmosphere. And I don't see how the Alerus could ever be an intimate setting for UND basketball. That would be one sterile environment.

Interested in a game against North Carolina Central or Old Dominion are we?

Didn't the Forum get a similar letter not so long ago. If I remember correctly they called the number included with the letter and confirmed who wrote it and then threw all of the guys information away. Later after the letter was published and Bison fans got into a tizzy, the Forum was unable to get back in touch with the guy.

If you look, alot of the Great West teams have similar open dates. Both UND and USD have Nov. 21 listed as open even though this is likely the weekend that they will be playing each other. I am sure they are trying to be flexible with the GW schedule to allow the teams to get the best OOC games as possible and therefor have GW weekends listed just to see what could possibly be worked out. Also, UND has Sept. 5 listed as open which is what I thought was going to be the Texas Tech game. Could the TT game possibly be on Aug. 29? I noticed that UND and Northern Colorado have common open dates on Sept. 5 and Nov. 21. I wouldn't mind to start a home-home with UNC.

I found this website called FootballScoop.com that lists open dates for football games from NAIA all the way to FBS. Interesting to see who is still looking for games. UND is still showing open dates on: Sept. 5 Oct. 3 Oct. 17 Nov. 7 Nov. 14 Nov. 21

ISU will have a WEBCAST of this game. They don't sell individual games but a one month membership is only $8.95. Just remember to cancel your monthly membership before they charge you for the next month.

Wow. Sounds like a solid recruit.

Iowa State defeated Niagara 89-39. So next up the ladies will take on Iowa State in the championship game at 7:30. The Cyclones are 9-2 with their only losses coming to Stanford and Iowa.

I completely disagree with those that think that academics and athletics should be kept with seperate identities. Many have said that athletics is the front porch of a University. Athletics is the most visable department within a University. A major part of our move to DI should be to increase not only the visability but the recognition of the University. Right now we are introducing ourselves to many sports fans for the first time. And we want these fans to be able to recognize UND and it's logos. Using a logo that most people view as another University's is not the way to do that. And from a marketing standpoint for the University, it would be wrong to try to keep athletics and academics seperate. I'm not saying that all logos should be interchangeable. But all aspects of the University should be represented under some form of ND/UND logo. From there athletics can have the Sioux logo as their seperate logo. We all know that the Sioux logo will never be seen anywhere near or be related to anything academic at this university. But it is definately important for the entire University to have 1 recognizable ND/UND logo that everyone will see and know it as the University of North Dakota.

HAHA. This thread is rather humorous. Anyone that has even remotely followed the team the last few years knows that Idalski has turned this program around and has them headed in the right direction. And Maria Lewis is a very highly respected coach and recruiter in women's hockey. If we can keep her around with Brian, this team will be competing with the best teams in the country rather quickly.

This weekend at the Ralph! Just a reminder that the Sioux women's hockey team will ba taking on the Gophers this weekend at the Ralph. The women are off to a great start this season. The ladies had previously only defeated Ohio State once in the history of the program but came away with a nice sweep of the Buckeyes earlier this season. UMD, who the ladies had also only previously defeated once in program history, had a nice 4-0 win over the Bulldogs in their last game. From what I hear the band will be there this weekend (not positive on this one). And there are going to be drawings and giveaways throughout the weekend. If you have never been to one of the ladies' games this would be a great one to show up to. Come out and support the ladies as they continue the Sioux/Gopher rivalry! Fri. 7:07 Sat. 4:07

Nice win by the ladies.

Once again GVSU will walk through the regionals. If it had not been for the new regional alignment, UND and GVSU would have likely played against each other for the National Championship a few more years. Too bad that in DII they want to make sure that the top 2 teams in the country don't play each other in the National Championship, especially if they are from the same region. Thanks USD and NDSU. That is one of the biggest reasons I am glad we left DII. Regional tournaments are horrible. The best teams in the nations should meet up in the championship game, not the regional first or second round.

As far as the NCAA/ESPN/any one else, we are not a DI team this year. In the next few years we will begin to show up on the sports sites and tickers.
