My heart just stopped for a few seconds. That was too close. Way to go BE!

It's gut check time. The guys got the 2 goal lead and then let back a bit. Time for the guys to step up and put this game away.

Enough people must have called into ESPN because the Sioux game is on here in Mayville now also!

Minnesota State is playing in the DII Women's Championship on ESPN2 right now. If anyone is interested.

SDSU just lost an absolute heartbreaker to Baylor. They lead much of the game. Baylor hit a floater shot with HALF A SECOND left to win the game.

I haven't swore at my tv this much in one weekend in a long, long time.

We wasted another power play just to take a penalty. Frustrating.

Too bad that we couldn't get a bounce like that last night to get the ball rolling and get the guys' confidence back. Getting out on top today is the start they needed.

For the life of me I can't find where I just read it, but the Great West is working on getting an autobid to the NIT for the time being.

I don't mind evening games at all. But I'm rather disappointed that the USF game is on a Thursday night. It just makes it more difficult for those of us who live out of town and have to work the next day. I may have to skip that game. And with only 4 home games, is not worth me renewing my season tickets if I will be missing one of them.

I wish they had kept the same collar and cuffs as they currently have. It was neat how they tied in with the hockey uniforms. One thing that I would like to see UND do is tie all of the various sports' uniforms together and have a similar look. The North Dakota seems rather small and hard to read. I don't like the interlocking "ND". The old ones looked great and would have been fine with just adding "North Dakota". I don't like.

Considering that basically everything has been shut down or cancled tonight in eastern North Dakota, they should have a pretty big TV audience tonight.

320. I called and got my name on the list at the Ralph. I am praying to god that they call me in the morning and tell me they have 2 waiting for me. I went online last night and I could still get 2 tickets for Friday but it was telling me online that Saturday was sold out. I hope that I don't end up driving down there without tickets and having to stand outside begging for tickets.

I also just got a room at the Sheraton through Priceline. I tried $50 and was declined so I went to $60 and got it.

Can anyone familiar with Madison suggest some hotels that are downtown. I have been able to find a few online but so far none have had rooms available. We would like to stay right down town or as close as possible. Any suggestions would help.

As expected, a large group of WWU FB letterwinners and alumni are trying to save their team. It sounds like they are getting alot of support. http://www.savewwufootball.com/ It is really sad the direction that football has taken in the western US. Hopefully they can get the school to keep the team around.

Does anyone know which section(s) most of the Sioux fans will be sitting in?

A good win for the guys. It is nice to see them stick with it and get the come from behind win.

A poster over at AGS has posted a tentative schedule for Indiana State. So far it appears that they only have 10 games scheduled also. They don't have the Sept. 12 weekend open that UND was looking to have the Potato Bowl. But according to that post, they have the weekend of Oct. 10 open along with UND. Maybe we need to sign a home and home with InSU and include a small guarantee to get the first game in GF with the return next year to Terre Haute. 2009 Indiana State schedule

And how expensive would it be to make the Al capable of hosting indoor track and field?
-
It is interesting you bring up softball. Last weekend while I was following the UNI-Dome tournament, I was thinking about how a softball set up could work in the Alerus. If you use the south end bleachers and the grandstand extenders that the Al already has, you could create a good softball field in the southeast corner of the Al. The actual dimensions of the field in the pic aren't necessarily correct. I just threw that together to show what I was talking about. I would think that the athletic department and the Alerus could contact the Astroturf company and work out a pretty reasonable deal on turf for a softball field. Or even purchase used turf and cut to the dimensions of a softball field. UND could host a couple early season round-robin weekends with northern DI schools. The Alerus could work with the DAC to maybe host a NAIA/DII weekend or two. And it would be a pretty unique recruiting tool when trying to get girls from southern states to come play here.

I updated the wiki. I believe that I got it all entered in. The only game on our wiki schedules that I haven't put as confirmed yet is the Sept. 18, 2010 game against Northwestern State. The only place I have seen it posted is on the Katfans message board. Has anyone seen a confirmation of it anywhere else?
