I completely agree that something needs to be done at springfest to help get it to a more controlled setting. But I also realize that stopping springfest will not stop the binge drinking problem in the region. If springfest is stopped these college kids will still party that day, only in less visable areas. The cooperation between the City and the University Students these last few years has definately made a big difference. I would like to see this continue. It will have more of a positive effect than trying to completely stop springfest.

I would be extremely surprised if we showed up this weekend and the jerseys are not our "Playoff Jerseys". Obviously UND needs jersey's that do not have the nickname and logo for the playoffs. They don't want to wait until the week before playoff's start to get them. The school is probably just trying to turn this into a positive. Wear the jersey's once or twice during the season to help get your moneys worth. Also to let the fans see them during the season so that it is not as big of a deal come playoffs. Invite back some Alumni and call it "Throwback Weekend". Has the team worn any throwback jerseys in the last few years that they could possibly be pulling out of storage for the weekend? The only thing I can think of is the exhibition game in the old Ralph right before the new arena opened up. Didn't they wear throwback jerseys that game?

Is anyone making any plans to travel to any of the ladies' away games? My roommates and I wanted to go to Madison this year for the men's game only to realize that this is the year that the men don't play IN Madison. So then we were hoping to get down there for the women's series. We aren't too sure if that will work out for all of us. So we are trying to decide what other women's road games we might want to think about traveling to. We would like to go to a series that will have a good number of other Sioux fans to enjoy the weekend with. I am guessing that the Minnesota series should have a few Sioux fans. What is everyone else planning?

I sent them an e-mail asking if all of the tees were black. I would be interested in a few that were a green color with white print similar to Sioux Crew. It would show even more pride if they were in our school colors. Would anyone else be interested in getting a few in green? Maybe they would be willing to have an order printed up. EDIT: Maybe even have a few printed up in pink. I am sure there are some people that would order pink ones. Plus, pink is one of our school colors.

Hey GBpakrzz: you must have forgotten to register. You don't get your White Member I.D. card and free silver spoon until you can prove that all of your blood lines are white. If not, you are not a true white and will be denied membership. If you are able to register, be sure to carry your card everywhere! You never know when you may need it on an on-line forum. From my understanding the budget has been Bunning's biggest focus since he started on July 1. It will be interesting to see how it all works out.

I for one think that the 'SUs will be getting an invite from the Big Sky in the next few years. What's standing in the way is not the travel issue, it is politics that just need to play out. Obviously there are those in the BSC that want the 'SUs and are willing to continue to push for him. I don't understand why people are so supprised about what happened at the meeting, not much has changed since their last expansion talks. The issue was simply brought up to keep it in the president's minds and keep them thinking about it. The biggest problem is that those in charge don't want to upset Sac State. If the 'SUs were added and Sac State was upset and jumped ship, the BSC would be short teams for their auto-bid. Once UNC becomes playoff eligable, that will not be an issue. And from what I have read in online forums, not too many BSC fans really care if Sac State is in the conference or not. Also, UNC is most likely to be another advocate for the Dakota schools. I just hope that by then UND will have taken enough steps to be in a position to be even considered for an invite.

I remember someone posting a link to a copy of the Dakota Student articles about the Sioux name. They were student letters to the editor. I believe it was just a scanned copy that someone had saved. And if I REALLY recall correctly they were saved on a NCC Ray website. Can anyone help out?

That thing is HIDEOUS!! I never did understand why they couldn't come up with a better mascot than that. Don't they have an art department or a sewing class that could have done better than this 3rd grade art project? If UND ever switched to the Big Green and had that thing dancing around the Alerus at football games, I might have to consider becoming a fan of the Ag college.

You have to wonder what UND-II(cheesy bison reference) offered Lennon as far as after his contract is concerned?!?! Is there any refernce to DI-AA is his contract?!?!
