What they did was great. That money that they raised will all go to a good cause. On top of that, they got some good national exposure for UND. Great job SIOUX Crew!!!

I graduated HS in the spring of 2000. I came to UND in the fall of 2000. Alot of my friends that I came to school with/ freshman dorm mates/ fraternity friends... have either graduated or transfered schools. My B-Day is coming up on the 26th. I have alot of these friends coming back for my birthday. I am trying to get some gifts baskets/memory boxes/movies/ CDs lined up for them (I know this sounds really gay but I am trying to set up a really cool B-day). I am trying to find the billboard/MTV/VH1/movie chart toppers from that fall 2000/spring 2001/ summer 2001. I have been looking all over the internet but I really haven't been able to come up with a good list for any of these. I know alot of the songs/movies that were really popular then off the top of my head, but I am trying to find lists of the TOP MOVIES/SONGs of the spring 2000/ fall 2000/spring 2001/ fall 2001. I would like to have some CDs/Movies/etc. for all of my friends coming back. If anyone knows what websites, etc. that might help out with this, I would greatly appreciate any help. I only have a week left to work some of this out. I have alot of friends coming back for this and I would like to have alot of this lined up before hand. Just wondring if anyone knows of any links that would help me out................ Thanks in advance.

They announced an attenance of 10,681. A good showing by the SIOUX fans. Hopefully this number continues to rise for each game. I'd like to see UND be #1 in average attendance this year.

The announcers pointed out that UND has scored 58 points on turnovers this season. That is pretty impressive.

7-5 Not a bad way to start the season. At least compared to what some people expected after last season. It is starting to look like it could be a decent season.

A friend of mine down in Florida heard about the French Fry Feed on the local news tonight. They were talking about it being the largest potato feed and part of UND's Potato Bowl week.

The VB team beat a DII transitioning UMary last night in five games. This followed a win at Winona State and then losses to Wayne State and Southwest Minnesota State. They start their NCC schedule this friday against Augustana. The ladies are 6-5 on the season.

Siouxfootballfield has come over to the d2football.com board and started making some rather big statements about things going on in DII and at UND. Can anyone else verify any of this at all? He is claiming that a name change is in the work and close to being done. Seems like with such a big change there would have been more rumors floating around. I can see UND working closely with the tribes in ND to come up with a compromise such as dropping "Fighting" or maybe even going as far as changing to Lakota, Nakota, or Dakota or something similar in order to keep the logo. Just changing the name would be easier than also trying to change the logo, especially in the Ralph. Anyone know of any trueth behind this?

Don't you mean that non-smokers insist on exposing themselves by attending bars that they know allow smoking. Everyone knows that they have the option of going to places such as Suite 49, Dagwoods, Italian Moon, etc that are all smoke free.

CAVALRY Apparently Cavalry wouldn't work for the NCAA either. Check out the 9th Cavalry Distinctive Badge. We would still get banned by the NCAA. Also, we would already have a school song, Fiddlers' Green. Although there is a rather "Hostile and Abusive" line in it... For some reason I keep singing the Fiddlers' Green to the Gilligan's Island theme song

That horseman would be a very beautiful replacement for the Sitting Bull statue in front of the Ralph!! It would also be kind of cool to have the "Calvary" come charging onto the field in front of the FB team!! We could actually have a mascot at sporting events. Just imagin having the horseman pictured above riding his horse up and down the sideline through the whole game. We could have a group in full military regalia firing off a cannon every time we score as the horseman circles the Alerus at full speed. I seem to like this idea more and more as I think about it. Plus, I really like that color scheme. Very Noble looking if you ask me. EDIT: The trumpets sounding out the charge... The possabilities are endless.
