At least it shows that Bunning is coming into his position with a positive and open mind. Looks like he is starting to try and rebuild some of the bridges RT burned. I had to laugh when I read Amy Ruley's comment about UND not being professional. Hopefully both sides can stop the petty bickering and begin to work something out. I think it would be nice to even just see a baseball, softball, or volleyball game in the next few years. Hopefully this is the first step in renewing a rivalry built out of respect instead of spite.

I understand that when the season officially starts more people will come out of summer hibernation. I thought that with over 1800 registered users here that some of the newer people may not know about d2football.com. Once again, a name-changer was unable to make a clear point on how UND's use of the logo has anyway affected them. Her entire point: she has been called names before. Who hasn't? If she thinks UND changing it's logo will stop her from ever being insulted again, she is going to have a hard time in life. I consider myself pretty middle of the road on this issue, but this article was absolutely pointless.

That is a great idea. Actually, I am going to buy a subscription and have it sent to my old high school. It is a rather small school but there have been quite a few students who have came to UND from there in the last few years.

I looked again and found this almost right away... some NCAA history and stats on DII hockey... NCAA D-II hockey history Was there a D-II conference in the region that some of the areas schools played in? Just curious what MSU, Bemidji, UM-Crookston played in before the end of DII.

Definately an interesting link. Does the NCAA website have a history of DII hockey on it somewhere. I looked real quick but didn't see anything but sometimes I'm not always the brightest. I would definately like to learn more about the history of DII hockey and schools that may have dropped DII hockey instead of moving DI but may someday take a closer look at it. I definately didn't realize how recently Minnesota State had started playing. If MSU got into the WCHA, how come people always say NDSU didn't want to start hockey because they wouldn't be able to get into the WCHA?

The other day some of us were talking about schools that we thought was strange that they didn't have hockey. We ended up talking about a few schools that used to have hockey and have since dropped the program. I have only been following college hockey since about '00. I was just wondering if there is anywhere that would have some detailed history of college hockey as far as old conference memberships, old programs, the history of D-II hockey, etc. I didn't realize how recently SCSU had gone DI. I guess I had just assumed that most of the WCHA schools had been playing together for decades. So... If anyone knows a cool site or two where I could learn more history that would be awesome.

So far all I have seen or heard lately is the "The Tradition Continues..." radio ads. With only 32 days to go until the first home game you would think that the ads would all be in full swing by now. But I have been doing so much traveling lately that I haven't spent more than a few days in GF at a time.
