I understood what you were saying. I grew up in western North Dakota and to begin with wasn't even going to consider a ND college. Well I ended up choosing UND and will forever be thankful that I did. I actually did end up taking a year off from college to get out of the state for a while and moved to Phoenix. While I loved Phoenix I quickly realized that life in NoDak isn't as drastically different as some will lead you to believe. I am now back in ND and see myself living in the Grand Forks area for a long time to come.

I see so many North Dakotans with this attitude. So many have it stuck in their head that North Dakota and it's cities can never be anything. Unfortunately this attitude is being passed on to the youth of the state. And people wonder why nobody wants to stay here after high school.

After the new football stadium is built, isn't the UofM going to try to get a better on campus baseball stadium? It looks like most Minnesotans have decided that they don't want to support the metrodome anymore and I would think UM would have to start considering it's options for the future.

Nicole is one of the judges for the Miss America pageant going on tonight. Unfortunately she apparently didn't let favoratism get to her, as Miss North Dakota didn't make the finals.

If you ask me he proved himself as an assistant at UNI. Look at their recruiting and NCAA tourney appearances. Very different situation than what is going on here. I understand why people would not be on his band wagon. Although I also don't think we should immediately dismiss the idea idea of letting him be interim coach for a year. Or if hired only give him a 2 or 3 year contract to let him prove himself. That way if a move to DI happens, it leaves our options open.

I'll take the University of Minnesota-Crookston any day. It's turning out to be a great rivalry in all of our sports.

All I can say is if UND can't win it all, I want to see it stay in the WCHA! I am 1 SIOUX fan who is cheering for BUCKY!!! Keep it in the WCHA!. The best conference in the country!!!!! When wisco was up in Grand Forks this last year, some of their fans hung out at my fraternity. They were great people. I hope they are celebrating this weekend! p.s. if this post doesn't make sence, blame it on the bar I was drinking at!!!

So it's on 96.1 in the Grand Forks area? Is this for certain? This is a NCAA tournament game and not just a regular season game. Do they have the rights to broadcast it?

I bought a UND baseball jersey at Scheels a couple years ago. The first time I wore it I got into a fight and it got covered in blood. (No, not mine) Thank god for OxyClean!! It is a nice jersey but I don't know if Scheels still carries them.

I found this info on the SDSU site. I guess I knew about all of these schools having made or making the move to DI. But when you look at all of them together, it is a big list. I wonder how long it will be before some of the larger conferences begin to get upset about having to share more and more money with all of these small schools moving up. Is it really that unrealistic to think a moratorium could be coming soon. I had seen these before on USCHO and wanted to order the one hooded sweatshirt. When it was posted here, I thought what the heck, I'll just order it. Then I realized that they had put the Notre Dame logo on it. I don't want anything that doesn't have UND's logo on it.

Not a regional tournament game but still a good one to watch: They are replaying the Minnesota/St. Cloud Final Five semi-final game on FSN. There must be a SCSU graduate working at FSN that is looking to kick the Gopher fans while they are down.

I work at a bank and I asked the Bank Manager today if we could get cable installed by next thursday. That was a nope. So then I asked if we could just close the bank at 1:45. Got another Nope. Isn't this basically the same thing as a National Holiday?

Congratulations to Bucky on the title this year. It is good to see it leave Minnesota but stay in the WCHA. Hopefully UND is the next WCHA team to win it's first Championship.

Who are UND's options as far as possible games to still be scheduled? Does anybody know who they may be talking to or who even still has open dates similar to UND? It doesn't seem like this late in the game there would be alot of options left. At least not real good ones.
