I'm a little late but here you go. As far as the questions about the alcohol, you can bring drinks into every section except for the student section. I was in section 209 and there were plenty of people with drinks over there. Also, the beer bottles are plastic. And when you buy them, they keep the bottle top. Apparently drunk people find them too tempting to throw at players, refs, etc.

What's this all about? I have heard people make comments about this before. Is there a back story I don't know about?

I live in Mayville and have plenty of friends who are currently attending Mayville State. So when I read through this thread I had to laugh. There is some worry here that MaSU could eventually be closed. We were talking about some scenarios just the other day. What I was talking about that I wanted to see... 4 year schools Dickingson State = Western Dakota State University Minot State = Central Dakota State University VCSU/MSU = Eastern Dakota State University I think using the word "combine" for VCSU and MSU would go over better than "closing". One campus would be picked for the new "combined" university. These three schools would be limited to only under-graduate programs. Also, every effort would be made to not double up on as many programs as possible. I also think that changing the names of them would make them more marketable regionally to high school students. Enrollments: Shoot for in the range of 3-6,000 UND/NDSU I don't think anyone would be crazy enough to ever think that either of the 2 flagship universities could ever be messed with too much. These 2 would continue to grow their graduate programs, making every effort to not double up on programs unless a huge need is there. Enrollments: 15,000 slowly growing to 20,000 2 year schools/tech school WSC, LRSC, BSC and NDSCS These would remain the states 2 year schools. Bottineau would be closed down. BSC could possible be turned into the states tech school. It would be a good central location for a tech school. Also, the programs at these schools could be aligned with the 4 year schools. Williston State's programs could be lined up with what WDSU (DSU) has, LRSC could be aligned with the programs offered at CDSU (MiSU), and NDSCS could be aligned with EDSU (VCSU). This idea isn't as drastic as some people are posting on here but it still eliminates one 4-year school and one 2-year school. As people have pointed out, I don't see ND legislatures doing anything too drastic. Getting rid of 1 of each would be a good place to start. And probably about as far as most of ND would let it go. I would also make sure that every school has a VERY defined roll in the NDUS. It seems that these days, every school in NoDak is trying to add as many programs as possible.

Didn't you hear? After DU and UBC demand that UND be added to the Big Sky, the conference is going to pay to load all of UND's sports facilities up on trailers and move them to Dickinson. Then every major airline will begin flights into Dickinson at the request of the Sky. Geography problem solved.

Now I don't want any jokes about the title I picked for this thread... I was curious if anyone on here is involved with the UND Alumni Association and Foundation and can find some numbers. I have been looking online to try and find some information about UND's finances. Specifically it's yearly annual budget and any information on endowments, etc. that are sources of funding. I have looked online but have not been able to find anything specific. Maybe I am just looking in the wrong area. I did find some info on USD's website. They don't list any specific amounts but do have a link to lists of specific endowments in each department.

South Dakota State lost to D-III Wisconsin-LaCrosse tonite 17-3.

Nobody thought that NDSU could beat Montana... Nobody thought that UC-Davis would upset Stanford... Even just today, Montana State pulled the upset over Colorado... I will be making the trip down to Cedar Falls to hopefully see an upset. It would be a great way for the Sioux to make waves into DI.

Let us know whatever we can do to help out the SIOUX faithful over there. Care packages, online updates, boxes of UND shirts, anthing: let us know. We will all help. We all love what you are all doing. And if we can grow some more Sioux fans over there, we will all pitch in. Just let us know how and where.

I don't think too many people would deny that UND's sports hierarchy goes: 1: Hockey 2: Football 3: Basketball 4: Take your pick That doesn't mean that most Sioux fans don't support our basketball programs. I must agree, however, that there are a few Sioux fans that don't even know that we sponsor sports other than hockey.

New UND Wellness Center to hold Grand Opening September 25, 3-6pm. Should be cool to see the finished product. It looks very impressive from the outside! A cool virtual tour of the Center.

Well, I am 1 Sioux fan who wants to wish the 'SUs good luck. Getting accepted into a conference is one of the last major building blocks for their move to DI.

I just got my tickets for the UNI game. Now I am really excited for the season to start. I won't be taking part in the bus but I am looking forward to meeting up with everyone down there.

To try and get this at least somewhat related to UND FB, are any of you involved with the bus from PLS (Portland Liquor Store) that tailgates before football games? My roommate and I were invited to ride along sometime this season. Sounds like it is a good time.

I know what you mean. It's like watching a horror movie. No matter how many times you see it, you just want to scream "Don't walk out that door" even though you know it won't change anything.

So only 2 football games will be on TV this year? That kinda sucks. I wonder if this is a $$$ saving move or just trying to get more people to show up for the games.

When I was growing up in NW NoDak it was a given that we would get our first snowfall on Halloween. We had a 4 year stretch that the first snowfall was on Halloween.

I have a pretty nice baseball jersey that I bought at Scheels probably 3-4 years ago. I was also just in there the other day and they did have some black Sioux baseball jerseys. The ones that I saw though definately weren't as nice as previous ones.

That would make one great t-shirt!
