Interesting story regarding the 'perspective' we should have sometimes. Now don't go and get caught up in the story

He didn't have to recover, his linemates recovered the puck from Toews for him. Unfortunately. That was during that 24 minutes of the game where no one could keep the vulcanized rubber on the tape. ??

That down deep, back up the middle fake was completely sick. Chay/Matt come get your pants from the ceiling.

Great job for 50 minutes tonight guys! Fantastic play by Bina, kudos to Kaip for the faceoff draw, and Fabian gets to knock the monkey off his back from the first period. Good hands Dunky. Porter will have a better/great game tomorrow. Third line definitely did it's job. Brian, you need to hit someone. Oh, and btw, did they heat the ice up to 33-1/2 deg tonight for the first period? The puck seemed like a damn jumping bean. Go get them stinkin gophers tomorrow!!!

No one way contract and I'll bet he goes nowhere.

Apples and Oranges. Bemidji has 5 NCAA Division II Titles in hockey. I'm not exactly sure but it's more than 10 other national titles in NAIA and Club hockey. Quite different than a Division I-AA 'powerhouse' buying a hockey team. One that historically couldn't even beat own their subsidiary in Bottineau for the Club Hockey Championships on a consistent basis.

http://www.uspondhockey.com/page/field.jsp I guess we cheer for these teams this weekend as well??? The Federal League All-Stars Team Captain: John Blooston Players: Jeff Sorem Pete Armbrust Tom Bennett Scott Collier Matt Henderson The Wiz Team Captain: Daniel Peschel coming soon Players: Pat Peschel Brian Samek Troy Cusey Chris Gotziaman Mike Broyles I really didn't look all that close at the rosters, so I probably left people off, but noticed Lund-Bloom and Speed-wak aren't playing again, shucks.

Nice add Bert, or is it Ernie? You just validated Atlantic Hockey in one fell swoop. I thought we in the WCHA were above that? BTW, you spend plenty of money sitting on message boards spewing the truth, "...feel free and have fun with..." Another BTW, do you pay attention? AA hasn't been to the Ralph yet this year, unless you mean the split last January.
-
Yep, and we barely cracked .500 overall that season. We didn't in WCHA play. I would hope we could come close in some of our scoring leaders though. Boy times were different back then; G A Pts. 7 Steve Johnson................................. 34 51 85 14 Lee Davidson.................................. 22 24 46 22 Grant Paranica.............................. 21 20 41 18 Garry Valk.................................... 23 12 35

If he doesn't add anything else (which I'm sure he will) it will be this. He singlehandedly seemed to carry the 04-05 Central team. I don't know the stats but I'm sure he averaged over 30 minutes a game.

1. Watching my son skating around with TJ for a couple of hours. 2. Denver playoff series March 2003 3. World Junior Experience. 17 games in 11 days, one of the best weeks of my life. 4. West Regional 5. Boston Comeback 2003 6. Opening night, despite the loss 7. Finally being able to have season tickets vs. begging/pleading/trading for tickets

I'd guess that UND is already there, not just becoming.

If it means anything to you, I have a participation banner hanging in my mind for cheering for 'Third Place UMD' that year. That was a great run and fun to watch.

Tickets for the UND/UMN games at Mariucci
CVCL replied to brianvf's topic in Tickets wanted / for sale
I'll add my name to this as well. Please PM me if you have 2-4 tickets. Brian would get first dibs, I understand. Unless of course I pay more. -
I mentioned similarly in this thread, but here goes again... Name five, or even one substanitive item similar to Dartmouth's 6 'in-house' racial tensions about UND. I haven't seen one from any media/person/organization. Please start with something recent. Then remember to include the word, 'direct', in your thought process. I believe we've all been subject to inference and inflection before. Every school/organization can choose to do what they want about their opinion. I only ask them to use their intellect they are supposed to have being members of higher education to take a closer look at a subjective issue. Where does the importance lie in this issue? Is it perception realized or perception aggravated? Convenience and opportunity line the bed of this issue. Where will your own thoughts bring you as you move along with this?

Is this what you guys are trying to say? Prove it once, then you'll be 'bonefied'. I'm sure your sources will forgive you once, your precious secrets. ps. Settle down boyz. My dad can still beat up your dad's.

It's this type of laundry list, 6 concrete instances of racism directly affecting the students/school, and the fact that they are counted as happening within two months that keeps me wondering this; Can a list like this be generated for UND for the last 30 years? The NCAA, Civil Rights Council and even the 'Bridges' site haven't been able to do that.

This would just be the status-quo then right?. The Gophers get pushed around on the ice all the time, why would getting a goal because of it change anything?

I want to add a story. Last weekend myself, son, father and brother went pheasant hunting out west. We filled out early Friday morning and stopped in for coffee at the local shop in Bowman. We chatted with the gals working and asked if who was their cable provider, if any restaurants had tv's to watch sports, etc. Judy said she didn't know but she'd call the biggest Sioux hockey supporter she new. Five minutes later, Brian, comes to the coffee shop, introduces himself and after we talk hockey/UND/Grand Forks for 10-15 minutes, he tells us we can watch the game in his living room with him. We took him up on the offer, brought over some drinks (we found out they were to drown our sorrows in), met his son and friend, and we all had a great time. Saturay night, Brian had to DJ a Fireman's Ball down in South Dakota but said we were more than welcome to watch the game at his house again. We brought over pizza and drinks, he sat with us for awhile and went to his engagement. Brian graduated from UND in the Seventies and fell in love with hockey. He grew up just outside of Bowman, and has lived in Bowman since GF. He said he's always tried to convert as many people as possible into Sioux Hockey fans down there but NDSU football is a mainstay. Needless to say, we've made a good friend. Hopefully we'll be able to repay the favor and get him up to GF to some games. The people in and around Bowman are fantastic. We've hunted in SW ND since the early eighties and near Bowman for 5-6 years now. They are all a wonderful class of people, but the Bowman area is just a little sweeter. (also, thanks YaneA for coordinating the jerseys last summer)

I know Fargo, SD seems like a long ways away. Just pick up your remote and press #44. You'll get there. http://www.fightingsioux.com/sports/mhocke...RELEASE_ID=5170
