    Jason Blake

These are great. For Jason's goal, he's just showing off, right? http://www.nhl.com/ Here's a another link to get the hockey blood flowing this morning: http://www.big-boys.com/articles/besthockey.html
  2. All of the discussion this past week has been enjoyable and enlightening. I had posted on USCHO that the contractual agreements for the regionals this spring would most definitely hold up regarding any 'cover up'. There will be no cover up. I had reservations as to the Presidents' initial attitude, now hopefully we'll see a matching resolve. We all know that the President has shown to be interested in moving on so let's hope this isn't just a crack in that armor. I am proud of UND and the President for their stance in this letter. They make several good arguements but moreover, they put the NCAA on point about democratic process. I would believe that other member institutions, affected or not, by this unilateral decision process will stand by their rights being 'given' to them. Beyond these and other earlier comments, I would like to add to the topic about any contract alluded to. Why would the NCAA Committee try to institute a formal date for this policy and accomodate any retroactive and 'grandfather' concerns and at the same time make that date fall within a higher education calendar year? Do not the 18 schools in question and the other 1000 member institutions have other sports with postseason competition fall before Feb. 1st.? Seems to me that the NCAA is really punishing only a very secular group of athletics. Football under their implications can not be disuaded because their championships do not meet the policy criteria. All post season play of football is complete by 2/1 anyhow. That leaves basketball as the only 'major' sport that will be affected. And our "second tier" sport of hockey, track and a few others ESPN will not market. Coincidence? More later, I have to pick up my son
  3. GK, you are right in one comment. It is about this, "Someday 'you people' will have to treat the Natives of this continent with respect". With that, I believe the one step is not enough. Let's take more steps. Lets make real decisions with real implications. You feel that 'people' or 'the man' are holding you down. Time to get rid of reservations and government subsidation. Seperate but equal does not wash. Reciprocities for times and actions gone by need to cease. You are correct about respect, it wasn't given. It is now, let it go. Respect is earned one on one, out of ethical, moral, and spiritual actions.
  4. I am unaware that Umn actually offered this scolly. Got any proof? I've heard and seen different takes. More to do with the large ice than the half scolly. Albeit, Finley is credited with the legs and agility regarding skating.
  5. Wouldn't you say they're more worried about no deflections?

    UND signs Toews

Well maybe he'll pull a Brady and play for the US.?
  13. Sounds like Josh is just another pumpkin beater that can't skate and got cut his senior year from the jv team at Fargo North. In all sympathy I do really feel for this KID. Someone should call Hoeven and tell him that there are young adults leaving the state after they get their GED's and being accepted into Michigan.
  14. Hey everybody. Greene isn't going anywhere. I made him, Smaby, and Stafford all pinky swear last night that they'd be back next year. And my source is from the force's mouth.
  15. That's what ya get from a bunch of gitsch sniffing canucks. And I thought Bo had a chance since they both do play in the AMERICAN hockey league. Boooooooooooooo!
  16. You know,... EI with your username, your two inflammatory posts within 20 minutes about financial situations at UND, and your quantity of posts within a month I have this to say: If I was anyone on this board, I'd have a hard time giving you any info. worth four haypennyies. And that'd be my .02

  18. I'd seem to think that the UND student body, Alumni, and all of it's fans might think it's a good idea to have some sort of representation of students at the game, even it is only 15. The bigger question is why people haven't set this up already. It could've been a raffle or something similar.
  19. Speaking of Lundbohm, he and O'Connell are taking on Spiewak tonight in Charleston, SC. Oh, and here's a great article on Speedwak http://www.echl.com/cgi-bin/mpublic.cgi?ac...s&cat=1&id=4334
