  1. Got to get at least one victory out of the weekend.....split makes sense......Its official....Blais is now the enemy......
  2. People people.....one word says it all.....Wisconsin.....I mean come on...... Every year at the final five the most crazy/disturbed fans we run across come from Wisconsin.....never fails. I think the Wisconsin fans also hold the record for puking the most at Alarys. I don't know how half of them cheer during games because they're too drunk to realize whats going on. And regardless of the outcome they sing and dance after every game.....probably because they aren't sure who won....
  3. If they are going to get a new coach into the program they need to go with the sooner than later attitude. One more year of transition until they are eligible for postseason play. Let a new guy come in, put his system in place, and have all guns firing for their first year of postseason eligibility. If Mussman is around next year, you may as well keep him around for a couple years longer to see if his system really will ever get working. I'm still waiting for possible new coaches.....Maybe Nielson from Duluth? Schweigert? COME BACK DALE!!!!
  4. I'm pissed off as all hell......this is sad to watch..... Two five minute majors in one game.....ridiculous. Its tough to watch.
  5. I'm frustrated as hell.......two 5 minute majors that were ridiculous.... The next sioux player that gets checked should act like they got shot....should get them a five minute major.
  6. They need to take checking out of hockey.....this is ridiculous...... Or there needs to be a penalty for having your head down....
  7. Another five minute major......
  8. How in the hell was there no call on the Genoway wraparound play......my gosh....get out the whistle fellas thats a scoring opportunity....
  9. My gosh I'm impressed with Forbort.....Such a big, physical, smart presence on the ice. Its so tough for guys to take the puck away from him..... I think the sioux are doing fine. Got to remember they are only playing with three lines now that Gleason is no more......
  10. Boy, guess I started a discussion topic....wow..... I thought Eidsness was good in the last game he played against Denver, the goals he gave up weren't his fault, and he gave the team a great chance to win the game. I'm guessing that Brad will get a start in Wisconsin and he needs to go out there and prove why he was the #1 guy the past two years. Hopefully Dell continues his strong play though, its been encouraging to watch.
  11. Before the starting intros on Friday when the players were all lined up on the glass Eidsness wasn't close to anybody.....he moped back there, and was the last guy up to the blue line when the team skated up there before the anthem. That photo was basically his body language the entire weekend.....looking like he didn't give a damn about anything.....
  12. Have to get a split out of this series. Anything more than 2 points would be huge, anything less would be upsetting. Right now Aaron Dell is the guy that needs to be in the net. The goaltending was good this weekend, can't complain about that. Maybe it was just me, but it seemed to me like Brad Eidsness had the woe is me attitude around the rink this weekend. From watching him in warmups to his body language on the bench.....When Eidsness is in the net Dell is up and watching the game at the end of the bench, Eidsness just sat back in a chair and I think just watched the game on the scoreboard. I'm a big Eidsness fan so I hope that I was the only one that saw this out of him this weekend. Its not like the coaches are shorting him in any way, his play has warranted more time for Dell in the net. As a former goalie I always watch stupid stuff like that because the relationship between the goaltenders on the team is always kind of a unique one. You want whats best for the team, but at the same time you want to be the guy in the net. At times you find yourself almost cheering against the team because the success of the other guy means that you don't get to play. Ahhh the Psychology of goaltending.....
  13. I would be absolutely thrilled with two splits these next two weekends. Wisconsin is just a tough place to win, and I don't see the Sioux sweeping their old coach on the road. Anything better than 2-2 these next four games would be great.
  14. That second period can't ever happen again.....I know they spent a good part of it killing penalties, but it just can't happen...... Its funny how UND had 4 or 5 great chances to win the game in regulation and then in OT right away and they end up losing the game on Duluth's first great chance in a long time.....I don't mind how aggressive the sioux were right away in OT, but if Genoway pinches like that a forward needs to drop back and take his place. Hextall even mentioned the mental mistake on his post game interview on TV...tough.... You take away the top line and Duluth is probably an average team. What will they do when all three of those guys leave next year?

This year started horribly in Idaho, and will end that much worse in South Dakota. I feel bad for the seniors on this football team.....guys like Kasowski..... At least the sioux have something in Hendrickson for the rest of the season. Let him go out there and wing it around the last couple of games, because there is nothing for them to lose. If Mussman goes who is the new head coach? Anybody have any good ideas? Maybe Schweigert?
  16. Although there wasn't a ton of shots on goal or highlight reel plays that was probably one of the better sioux games I've been at the Ralph for. There was a moment in the second period where I turned to my wife and said "This is two pretty good hockey teams going at it". I can't comment on the penalty at the end. I was in the upper bowl.....didn't hear the whistle at all....did anybody in the lower bowl definitely hear the whistle? (Be Honest! ) I think Dell should get another start tomorrow night. Ride whats working for you.
  17. What a Joke...an asbolute joke. Wait until the day before the series to suspend him......like what in the hell did they have to do from Sunday-Weds? Ohh wait, I'm sure they had to deal with complaints about the officiating....it all makes sense now....
  18. The WCHA can't suspend Malone today.....no way no how.....You can't wait a day before the series to hand out a suspension. If they were going to suspend Malone they should have done it on Monday or Tuesday so UND could have practiced those days with the knowledge that they wouldn't have him. Thats what they have done in the past, and I would believe will continue to do in the future. I am still feeling bad for the Martin kid. Hopefully he's doing okay. I'm glad that he has no ill will towards Brad for the clean hit.
  19. If Brad Malone gets any sort of long punishment I'm writing a letter to the WCHA requesting that Aaron Marvin be expelled from the league.
  20. Hockey is such a small thing in life when it comes to the big picture of things. This young man has a long journey ahead of him and I'm very hopeful that he is able to live as normal of a life as possible and is able to make a full recovery from this serious injury. I also wonder how Brad Malone is taking this.....it can't be easy for him to know that he caused such a devastating injury.....I know I couldn't handle it.
  21. A spear? Then he's gone isn't he?
  22. I'm anxious to see what team shows up the first period. The team that played the first two periods well yesterday, or the team that sat back and got outworked for most of the third period. I think the Denver coaching staff will try and build on that third period and look to put the pressure on right away in the game. I think you'll see the Gregoire-Hextall-Knight line a lot in the first period, as that was the best line last night and Gregoire was easily the best player on the ice last night. I think Eidsness gets the call tonight, but I think a lot of people see that coming.

    Lamar @ UND

Thats sad too because I'm sure that UND had some potential recruits visiting this weekend..... Maybe they should take them to the Ralph to watch the hockey game.....

    Lamar @ UND

Hopefully the move to the big sky gets more people excited about football. I am interested to see how small attendance was at the game today....yikes...
  25. I think Scanlan said it best. Good WCHA hockey game. Physical, wide open.....the way the game should be played. Not decided by special teams.
