A lot depends on where the NC$$ sends Miami. They aren't the host of that Ohio regional, but at the same time they are almost assured of being there as a #1 if the NC$$ stayed with protocol, and obviously they'll make more money if Miami is there. New Hampshire is the northeast regional host, but won't be a number one seed (likely a 2). Will the NC$$ send BC there if they are the lower 1 seed than Quinnipiac? (Sending UND to a possible East Regional in R.I. as a #2 to meet Quinnipiac?) Smarter rankers than I will have their say. But if you ask me, goldy goes to the Michigan regional if they are a 1 seed.

Just put it in that building west of the student entrance. The Betty they call it? All thats played in there is basketball right? (Please note, a joke. Nothing against Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball or the volleyball program).

UND got great goaltending too, but Nora Raty is just sensational. Minnesota isn't undefeated this year without her. She's just tremendous Look at the chances UND had to end the game in some situations and Raty didn't kick out any rebounds, and gave UND no second chance hope whatsoever. I'm not trying to argue with you. Why you feel the need to come in here and try and be a pompous @ss all the time befuddles me. I don't hate Minnesota fans, I'll have conversation with you. But every thread you come into you stick out like a pompous idiot. Which I hope you're trying to be, because if you're not then you are doing a disservice to the Minnesota fan base.

No more first round bye games or cakewalks as per say. #1 Seeds losing to #4 seeds doesn't cause the shock and awe it used to, nor should it. Wouldn't want Michigan right away....yuck.

If CC beats the Sioux you'll still still have a green and white crowd/diarrhea colored crowd. And I'm pretty sure the same fans will probably be cheering against each other.

Bottom line, if the gophers don't have a certain individual from Finland (well outside Minnesota), UND wins the hockey game.

And I think a majority of their fans would tell you that as well. Many of them want nothing to do with being associated with the University of Mediocrity in all sports but hockey.

I think based on the result Sunday the lineup will remain fairly consistent. OD will stay on the top line, Rocco the second, and after the way he played Drake can't come out of the lineup. Question to ponder: I know Hak wants to spread out the scoring, but does he feel that with Kristo-Knight-and Rocco together that line is more of a defensive liability because of their lack of size? This topic has been beaten to death, but the best Kristo and Knight have looked all year was when Rocco was with them. I mean last year the three best forwards played on that same line basically all year. After them it was gravy if any other line scored. In the end, I trust Hak. He makes the tough calls, I'm on a computer, his hockey knowledge far outduels mine.

When the delay is right, listening to TH while watching is great. The guy is just amazing at describing the play. Kober is a brilliant hockey mind, just can't always put his thoughts to words. Blais would be great in that spot....but a pipe dream nonetheless.

The possibility of a Friday Night Sioux-Gopher clash gives me goosebumps.....can't sit still just thinking about it.

Blais as the color guy on radio broadcasts would be epic.....absolutely epic. TH and Blais from the Ralph.....thats exciting to think about.

For the sake of quality hockey I'm hoping for Mankato to beat Bucky. All the games this weekend could be pretty good except for that one. Mankato will try to come out guns ablazin, and Wisconsin will clog up everything and dump......and clog.....and dump. The sooner bucky is out the better.

Deano has kind of set into a downward trend here. After winning that world junior championship and leading the Mavs to the NCAA's things haven't gone like they normally would for his hockey teams. There was the debacle that was the world juniors where they finished like seventh, and after some decent starts his Mavs team has had some horrible stretches of play in March. If this is it for him he's left the program in better shape than he found it. I bet UNO may be kicking themselves though as Mike Hastings has done a tremendous job in Mankato and although he was the heir apparent to the UNO job, he may be happy where he's at with the kids he's got. I could see Blais becoming some type of pro scout of consultant for an NHL team. Likes to travel, but gives him some time to be around his family and be a dad and a grandpa too.

When I play men's league I will throw em on. The high school I coached at had an annual Sioux-Gopher's game over Christmas. Thats when the jerseys would come out, and of course I couldn't let the Sioux lose.

I'd have a tough time not wearing the old sioux head logo every game. I've got the early 90's green looking logo, and a star jersey as well. I don't wear jerseys to games....just a superstition thing.

Get lolled to sleep by Wisconsin on Thursday afternoon and woken up by some race horse hockey with CC and UND. Will be a lot of CC fans wearing Maroon and Gold on Thursday....and I'll love it!
