I'll never ever accept the idea that UND is "The other university in North Dakota". No way. Part of NDSU being in the news a lot of the year is the legal issues you see happening during the summer. I'm glad as hell I didn't see a video of one of our players drunk and ignorant sitting in the back of a cop car making an @ss out of himself. Or that one of our players was staring at 12 year old girls in a mall fondling himself. That stuff makes news on top of other news. Someone already said it....it comes in waves. Ten years ago the Bison were on the verge of the DI transition, and for a few years nobody could have cared less about NDSU Football. Lots of blue seats open in the Fargo Dome those days. Now they're the coolest thing in Cass county and Travis Beck's home town since sliced bread. As far as basketball goes.....best team in school history for SU a few years ago, and they went one and done in the NCAA tournament. No chance ever for a basketball championship for either school. Some day UND may beat a major conference team, but competing for a national championship is not reality.

Prediction that I'm feeling with the game just under seven hours away.... SDSU 30 UND 27 I think defensively we'll see improvement, and the offense will move the ball. But I think SDSU churning up clock keeping the UND offense off the field is too much for UND.

I'm on the stack the hell out of the box and make their QB win the game for them bandwagon. I'd rather see that than Zenner gashing through holes all game long.

Count how many times "Sioux Suck" is said at an NDSU game vs. "Bison Suck" at a UND game and it pretty much shows that it doesn't even come close to going both ways.

If SDSU wins 49-17 UND is far far below where they need to be at this point post transition. My scenerios for the game: ~Zenner runs wild. SDSU 31 UND 20. ~UND shuts down the run, turns into a track meet SDSU 38 UND 35. ~UND defense of old shows up and the guy who claims to be a non biased fan is spot on.

Just wanted to say that Mafia outdid himself with these hats. Got mine in the mail today. And it exceeded expectations. It has officially become the head piece to whatever I wear to any UND hockey game from this point in time on. Thank you sir, well done!

Interesting stat today I found out from a college football guru. Double checked it and the SOB was right.... 2007 Minnesota finished: 1-11 2010 Kansas finished : 3-9 2011 Minnesota finished: 3-9 2012 Colorado state finished: 4-8 2013 Kansas state....currently 0-1 Total combined record: 11-38 Hopefully Kansas State makes that number look a bit better as the year goes on.

Rocco centers the first unit, Mark Mac the second, St. Clair the third, Pattyn the fourth. I think Gaarder could fit in there as well, but those four are the guys I think start the season there. I think this team will miss Corban more than they know in the faceoff circle. Man was he lights out.

I come away concerned with run defense as well after this one. Need to stiffen that area up or they won't need to worry about giving up pass plays next weekend against Bugs Bunny and co.

Both QB's showed some nice poise and arm strength. Lets see how they look when they're playing scholarship athletes.

Jim's biggest impact came his Freshman year when there wasn't enough healthy bodies and he was forced into the action. Last year with more healthy bodies around you could tell the writing was on the wall for Jim. When he did play he seemed to be pressing, and wasn't the same player he was his Freshman year. Maybe you could attribute it to playing more relaxed as a Freshman because he knew he was going to be in the lineup come game time. In the end, somebody already said it best. Late addition to the crew, wouldn't have played very much if at all this year, get to a place that will give him an opportunity to play.
