What a snipe for the game winner. No goaltender is stopping that one. I thought Notre Dame was much better in regulation, but SCSU carried the play in OT. Goldy smiling about the fact that SCSU had to play so much extra hockey. But I'm thinking SCSU with the two week layoff will have enough in the tank to give them a run. Should be a fun one.

I'll take my hat off to Ferris State. As a UND fan we've gotten hot goalied to absolute death over the years. We all know how they feel after that one. I think Ferris is a lot better team than a lot of us thought. Tough tough way to go down when you work a team over for long stretches like they did. I apologize to Wisconsin for wrecking their chances by picking them. UND will not be affected whatsoever by my picks after yesterday because I did not pick good things for them. (First time in a while, I didn't select them to win every game up to the national championship) I've already picked the University of Minnesota as the national champions. So they'll likely play their last game this weekend. Glad I'm not superstitious.

I'm never going to overlook a team that won their league championship. The McNaughton trophy will be in their facility for at least a year, and they earned it. UND will be prepared. Still lucky to be in the NCAA tournament, and they played like it against a team that I feel beats them in a seven game series, or even a three game series. Teams given a second chance at life seem like the toughest ones to knock over. UND 3-0 in games that would end their season.

I'm watching a replay of Ferris-Colgate. Ferris is similar to Wisconsin, as far as big bodied forwards. Good goaltending, but they let bodies get to him way too much. Their penalty kill basically sits back and lets the power play attack while packing it in. They're a good team. One win away from the frozen four, just like UND is.
