I'm kind of hoping for a shootout in the Minnesota-MSU game. If Kyle Rau does the five hole move again....and it works.....just shame on Michigan State's film department.

Updates: SCSU beats Omaha and jumps into first place. And Minnesota gets a goal from Pele to tie their game with Michigan State and they're in OT as we speak.

Really impressed with Fasching. Great hands in tight space, and a good power forward. Should be NHL ready after one year.

On the topic of embellishment......yes a penalty on a Michigan State player for a cross check on Vinny Latteri.......but I think he's been hit harder walking to the library bar on the U of M campus than that.....but made sure to lay down for a while. Glad the officials didn't get duped into a major by that.

Really hoping that work schedules work out and me and the old man get to make another appearance. A very very fun time for all involved. Cheap food, good people, good stories. I'm a huge huge fan of fellow fans sharing their favorite moments following the Sioux. Crossing my fingers that it works.

Ohh whatever.....that 1998 Michigan team beats North Dakota whether there are six Sioux fans in attendnace or 6,000......

I saw on USCHO that Ohio State got the "Comatose Award" from a visitor to one of their home hockey games. This just cannot be.....If anything hockey is the 2n......ummm 3r......shoot. They know they play hockey at Ohio State right? Besides the players on the team?

In the future BSU-SCSU will easily draw 15,000 fans for the third place game. Bank on that.

Getting swept likely means having to win the NCHC to get in. Unless it was your only losses in this ten game stretch. This is how I see it ending up: UNO.....Win and a shootout win..... Miami....Split Duluth...Split SCSU....Hope for a split Western...Sweep I think its been mentioned already, but this new league is just a different rodeo. I mean in the past you'd have some layups in conference games at the end like an Anchorage, BSU, Tech, or a bad Mankato (they have turned things around lately). They could win their next ten games, they could lose their next ten games, they could split their next ten, and it really wouldn't surprise anybody what happened.

Four absolutely huge hockey games coming up at the Ralph. Got a weekend off to take a deep breath and heal up some bumps and bruises and then its go time against Omaha. One thing that has probably saved the season somewhat is the way the team has played on the road in their conference. And for them to make the NCAA tournament and get home ice in the NCHC its got to stay that way. Can't get swept at either SCSU or Duluth.

Sitting right now at 17 in pwr. Not great, but we've been sitting worse at this point of the season in Hak's tenure.

Like the way the team is playing. Hope we see the same team in two weeks.

This is what I was worried about with Brittain. UND has had success against the guy but he can be a game stealer. Plenty of time. Get one fellas.

That UMD-Gopher game was hilarious....It was a diving meet at the end. Rau takes a dive, then the Duluth player dives in return.

I'd say #12 for Denver will be a marked man tonight. Got to make sure they keep their emotions in check though, and not go out of their way to make sure #12 gets his due. Funny he's #12....Denver has had a history with guys who wear that number.....

Time to bring out the business suits tonight and get another big win. Lots of talk about the twelve game streak where the team could make their move. Tonights is game 12 of that streak and they are 9-1-1. 10-1-1 sounds better than 9-2-1. Keep the streak alive. Refuse to lose.

Boy, doing the what if calculator is tough.....Every series is like....ummm...probably a split....probably a split..... I've got SCSU winning the league with UND and Denver battling neck and neck for the second spot. But its close all the way......

If I'm there I'll be there likely Thursday night so Friday or Saturday works either way. Not sure if my dad can make it this year, but this year I'll make sure to keep him updated with everything going on in the college hockey world on our way there. Side note, he's lost 60 pounds on his new diet, and hopes to lose about 60 more. So nobody buy him a beer if we make it.

North Dakota now tied for 14th in the pairwise. Just keep winning.
