  1. Good luck ladies. Any chance they move the games to the Hyslop? Boy would that place get ROCKING.....
  2. Forwards.....advantage Miami Defense......advantage SCSU Goaltending.....advantage SCSU.....depends on which McKay shows up for Miami. Special teams.....advantage SCSU Teams split the regular season, all four games pretty close. I want a guarantee!!!!!
  3. Is that a guarantee? I as well see Western Michigan beating Duluth. Thats if Andy Murray allows the officials away from the bench long enough to play the games. Sam Brittain won't allow UNO to sweep Denver. Thats a guarantee.
  4. Interesting stats there. Have not had a ton of comebacks in the third period this year. Although we have seen some of the sit on the lead approach.
  5. When I was a student I had a few classes with hockey players and I remember asking one (I'll leave anonymous) about how nervous they got before big games, etc? He responds. "We all know how crazy in love with hockey Sioux fans are, and how much rides with how we play for them......Whats there to be nervous about?" Answered my question perfectly.
  6. And that was a quick shootout.....Oshie...automatic. Steen 50%........wow. Guess the Wild got a point.
  7. TJ Sochi will be coming up here in the shootout shortly in the Wild-Blues game. He owns Russian goaltenders. I'm giving the Blues a goal already.
  8. Kinda like the one time I was at this place called the Hogg and some guy gets up and takes blame for one of the best UND teams EVER taking a dump at a rink in Ann Arbor. Drunken idiot..... And to think he had his two year old with him.....
  9. Glad that Minot Model later became a math building for Minot State University. Quite the reign of terror post world war 2.
  10. Be careful about the sand in vagina comment there, Izzi will break your nose.
  11. Thats a great question.
  12. There was a stretch of the Friday game against UND at they Ralph where they were pretty impressive. From about the ten minute mark of the second period to the end of the game was the Miami I think everyone expected to see all year long. Creating chances, playing the body, moving the puck through neutral with a precision passing attack. If that game was ten minutes longer and Clark doesn't play one of his better games of the year UND loses that one. I expected UND to lose Saturday with the way Miami finished Friday night, but Saturday the latter Miami that everyone has grown to know this year showed up.
  13. Third year I believe...maybe second. NCAA clearinghouse limited eligibility years at UND due to whatever course work she took over in Europe. UND will try for another year, but many are saying that it will be shot down and she will have no eligibility left.
  14. SCSU gets the healthy, nothing to lose Miami team. Miami already spoiled Denver getting home ice in the first round of the playoffs, and I think they'll like being the 8 seed on the road. SCSU wins the series, but Miami should give them a push. Three games series is what I'm banking on.
  15. One reason, among many. Blake Coleman. Guy is a machine (4 goals against Denver this weekend). With him in the lineup Miami is able to split up Barber and Czarnik, and have Barber play on the second line with Anthony Louis and put Czarnik with Coleman on their top unit. Their goaltending is suspect, but you have the former USHL goaltender of the year in McKay, and although one night UND lit him up like a two dollar hooker, he did play very well in two appearances against UND. Miami is the dark horse team. I expect SCSU to win, but you give that talented group of forwards the extra space on an Olympic rink and it'll give SCSU all they want and more. And I COMPLETELY agree with you about exodus. Bye bye Barber, bye bye Czarnik, bye bye Coleman.
  16. Obviously money wise UND, SCSU, and Duluth making the field is important. But regardless.....I don't think you'll see a ton of fans from the other five schools. I have no idea about Omaha because they have never made the final five when I've been there.
  17. Nope, just thought I'd throw a shout out to Dinky.
  18. The only thing that made me pick DU over UNO is Sam Brittain. When he finds his groove he can put them on his back and he's just not getting scored on that evening. UNO is a better team, but I think Denver pulls one out. Any of those 8 teams could end up in Dinkytown. Extremely tense weekend of hockey coming up.
  19. Unicorns are fictional creatures...NOT MASCOTS!!!
  20. Miami @ SCSU CC @ UND Denver @ UNO Western @ Duluth A good chance for most of these series to go three games. I like UND's first round matchup a lot more than what some other teams are looking at. My predictions: SCSU over Miami in 3. UND over CC in 2. Denver beats UNO in 3. Western beats Duluth in 3.
  21. Miami only a minute away from screwing things up for Denver.
  22. Before, three words got the whole rink going. Lets go Sioux. Now, its so uneasy in that place when that cheer starts that it dies down so quickly and its back to sitting on hands and waiting for something good to happen. Not pinning a loss on a crowd, ever.....But there were times when teams walked into the Ralph and were beaten before warmups.
  23. Miami up 2-1 over, which completely messes up Denver's hopes for home ice.....those pesky pesky Redhawks.
  24. Fargo Oak Grove wins the championship in OT over Rugby. Those private schools. Should all have to play class A!
  25. I slept on a sidewalk when it was cold as hell outside REA for two days to get season tickets once. This year my wife and I were at the Miami series, and I couldn't believe the student section was half full upper bowl. I know it was Valentines day, and they were playing a low ranking team in the league.....but that was pathetic. To hear that the students are going to lose seats in the rink should upset me, but it doesn't because they don't fill the section up. And it isn't like this group has had an awful year.
