As a former goaltender I feel awful for Thompson there. You make a great save on a 2-1 and then your guy pulls that. But the crowd still sieves you.....

To recap the first period: ~Clark gave up a softie ~UND played soft for most the period ~Deano got tossed ~Jutting kept yelling ~Rodwell tied it late ~Jutting kept yelling And its 1-1 after 1.

Rodwell ties is. And Omaha is going absolutely crazy on their bench. And the NCHC officiating is called into question....

Brad made a good point in his recap about the stretch where UNO took it to UND. After Gaarder got tossed the game took on a different landscape. Still thought Rodwell played well, but just didn't see the same from Pattyn. Thats an extremely important line for UND, and hopefully they stay in tact for sixty minutes tonight. Changes tonight..... Thompson in for Mattson (won't ever happen) Panzarella in for Murphy (likely) Hopefully the same goalie for UND shows up. And the inconsistent freshman(s) that UNO is dealing with as well.

I think if Bucky wins, UND will get a bump......because BU beat Sconny, who will beat the #2 team.... Come on Bucky.

Hak Post game ~Clark was the story of the game ~Survived the second period, even though it was race horse hockey at times ~Crazy ice conditions, strange bounces ~Penalties hurt the flow of the game in the second period for UND ~Great patience by forwards on some of the passing play goals ~Atypical plays by some veteran defensemen ~Rocco double shifted to keep it a four line game after the Gaarder penalty.

McCabe just murdered Rau, and he's getting the gate. Rau had his head down, but McCabe brought up his fists which is probably why he got the boot.

Special thanks goes out to Clark that period for keeping the team in the game. After that first goal things got wide open. Don't know if UND has the horses to do that with Omaha. 20 minutes. Lets go boys.
