  1. Agreed on Alcala. IMHO I give him a 6th-7th inning role. Rogers can't be the closer. Look at the future of the AL Central with all the good right handed hitters.
  2. Rogers again...... The team is playing well, one loss doesn't kill anything, but Romo and Rogers just don't give me any hope they can hold a late lead in the postseason. Eleven left on base for Cruz. Not his night.
  3. I can't believe they thought they could just fly with the CBs they had. Holton Hill couldn't cover, Hughes is undersized, Gladney and Dantzler looked like rookies playing a hall of famer....And they made up for it by not touching Rodgers all day. But other than that how was the play Mrs. Lincoln?
  4. Rosario just can't get out of his own way this year. That ball he got hurt on is 100 percent Buxton's ball and Byron was even calling for it. Nonetheless....Big Mike controlled the bleeding and they got some big hits from some guys that haven't hit for a bit. Split on the south side....split on the south side.
  5. As a Viking fan I'd say I'm ready to see A-Rog retire.
  6. No noise in a dome stadium with young corners and no pass rush...... Viking fans like myself were well prepared for this butt kicking.
  7. Make the playoffs magic number at 7. Detroit and Baltimore lose, we win. Yes Detroit losing helps us.
  8. If they can get Rosario going.....and maybe Donaldson. The whole key is having someone behind Cruz so he can see some pitches instead of try to do too much. Kepler back today. See ball, catch ball, Max......
  9. Ohhh Rosario........that was huge. May in the 9th? And now Sano.
  10. Alright. 3-2 into the fifth inning. Maybe....maybe one more inning from Hill. 5th-Wisler 6th-May 7th-Clippard 8th-Duffy 9th-Pray
  11. I'm old school, I miss the the interlocking white ND on the helmets. The logo looks fine, but would like a throwback look at some point.
  12. Lol.....like what constitutes a catch in football? I'm only right 40 percent of the time.
  13. That was my biggest issue. Graterol. I think they could of given up Duran or Alcala and another guy for Maeda. Graterol having a good first year in LA, and he will only get better. As of now the Twins are ahead in the trade.
  14. I was a naysayer on that trade. But that was a better move than the Donaldson signing. Big win over Bieber. That guy is good.
  15. Twins don't play two days and end up with home field advantage. Thanks KC. Two of three against the Tribe.
  16. My neck of North Dakota had 67 positive tests in our county. More than imperial Cass! Likely due to a big testing event we had. Hoping that school doesn't get called because my kids begged me to go for the first time ever...."Dad!! We need to get away from mom!" So this Schloss article doesn't surprise me in the least bit. I can handle not seeing the Bizens and the Beaver trap. Start in November, if no fans are allowed so be it, but let these kids start and finish something, and compete. (Crossing my fingers to see the Irish still play Saturday)
  17. Two of three against Cleveland....split on the South side.....two of three on the North side. When Odorizzi gets healthy they've got some decisions to make rotation wise. 1. Big Mike....2. Berrios....3. Maeda for sure, then you've got Hill, Dobnak, and Ode.
  18. You had the whole bullpen built up if Dobnak faltered with two days off ahead....Duffey, May, Clippard, Stashak, Rodgers......and we went to Theilbar, after leaving Dobnak in too long, and thats the game...... And to make it all better we let Poppen pitch to Wong. I just don't get it.
  19. Does Rocco know its only a 7 inning game?
  20. May be time to hit up the pen.
  21. They've got to let him pitch 7. Unless they get up 10 runs. Then let Smeltzer finish.
  22. Big chance to get two games today with who we have going on the hill and St. Louis with a couple scrubs. Big Mike going 7 and Stashak coming back leaves everyone available today. Only 17 games left. Rocco has got to pay attention here. The Twins are currently the 7th seed and the first wild card team heading to Cleveland the first round. They are only a game back of Cleveland and Chicago with Cleveland showing up on Friday with Bieber on the hill. So important to be at home in the playoffs.
  23. Alright, wanted 4-1 vs. Detroit so I'll be happy they got it. Weird homestand. Could of swept Chicago, could have swept Detroit, then again they could of easily went 2-3 against Detroit. Quick trip to St. Louis before two off days. Throw the sink at the cards tomorrow.
  24. I'm lost on Rocco. Guy that is so about the statistics and playing percentages. Then when it comes to bullpen decisions in a close game in the 8th you have Smeltzer in to pitch. Fine, he hasn't gone in a while. Schoop makes him pay, Rosario is stupid.....Cabrera up.....open base.....we are really letting our worst lefty pitch to a future hall of famer with a base open? We shift, leave whole areas of the field open, leadoff with Sano, rarely hit and run....but don't put guys on.
  25. Smeltzer is meat. He should only pitch when its 4 or more runs either way. Rosario is Rosario. Why Rocco doesn't put flipping Cabrera on base with a base open.....doesn't need to even be held on because he can't run. Let him hit and he drives in runs.
