Yeah, I was at the game, and I saw that big ole Sioux Rube giving a peice.... More penalties...and somebody just got the old "Hands to the hips" penalty...
-
You're one step ahead of me He who shoots top shelf. I was wondering that as well. Shane is a senior. This could be their last game.... Spivey (I heard Mark Kolk yelling at him )

1-1 Jamestown with a PP goal 3 Minutes left in the second.
-
Central with a goal waved off Still 1-0 Knights. Lots of penalties this period. Grothman playing well *Josh Ness in goal for the Knights.
-
Score update: Central 1 Jamestown 0 About 11 minutes left in the second period.

I kind of questioned that move as well. The third goal West Fargo scored wasn't what you would consider a weak one, but maybe he just wanted to shake up his team. Ness made a couple of nice saves on a West Fargo flury a little bit after they put him in, so at least he was awake.

West Fargo 4 Central 1 Great goaltending by Houkom of West Fargo. Made some terrific saves. Got a little lucky too, but you need that sometimes. West Fargo played a pretty smart hockey game. They kept the puck on the boards in their own end, and when Central did get the puck to the net Houkom was able to see it. They are a very well coached hockey team, and a fun team to watch. Central didn't play badly at all, and they aren't out of things yet. A couple more bounces and we'd be talking about Central-RR.

Thank you mam... Sorry about that!

Thanks for the update sir....much appreciated.... Minot sleepwalking in their first game....

I guess the only real interesting matchup to start the West Regional is the Bismarck-Hazen game. Other than that Minot should win, Williston and Dickinson will be closer than the seeds indicate, and Devils Lake will beat Century. Friday's semifinals are both absolute toss ups if everything goes according to the way I think they will. Minot and Bismarck is always a good game, and Williston vs. Devils Lake could go either way as well. I love tourny time!

Hey Westman, Just delete this thread, and do all the posting in the other thread (Suggestion). I can see this thread turning into a flame fest, that will have certain posters backing you into a corner, and making statements to get under your skin. Just a suggestion sir..... PS: I sure do love Dave Hakstol....

Will Dingman be able to play this weekend? I've heard that he's got a pretty bad thigh bruise?
-
Ditto.... We are but a day away from the regional tournaments, and almost a week from the state tournament. Where has the time gone?
-
I guess I should add Al Henry to my list for coach of the year. Although I still believe Matt Malm will (should) win it, Mr. Henry has done an outstanding job with his young hockey team. They'll give someone a tough game when they make it too state!

Alright, I'll take a stab at it. I already predicted Thursday, so here goes. I'll just predict the East for now. Friday: West Fargo-5 Jamestown-3 North-4 Shanley-3 Red River-4 Central-1 Fargo South-6 Grafton-2 Saturday: Central-5 North-2 Grafton-6 West Fargo-3 South-3 Red River-2 OT
-
Agreed. I think it will definately be the best game of Thursday. The way Central has been playing of late its tough to pick against them, and I think there is some motivation to get another crack at Red River.

Minot 4 Devils Lake 3 OT Devils Lake absolutely deserved to win this hockey game. They outshot, outhit, outplayed a very flat minot team. I guess I'll let Minot get away with the excuse that the game didn't mean much other than senior night, but they still have to play better to make any noise at WDA or state. I give Al Henry and his team all the credit in the world. Only 3 seniors on the team, and a majority of the ice time was taken by juniors and sophomores....look out for DL next year, and the rest of this year. PS: Before the game a moment was taken in remembrance of Brady Samson, the son of former Minot High School coach Gary Samson who passed away after a courageous battle with muscular dystrophy. From now on they will hand out an award named after Brady that will go to the player on the team that best exemplifies the spirit of good play and love for his team. It was a very emotional little ceremony and for the first time in many years I found tears in my eyes at a hockey game.

Minot 7 Century 1-Just Heard the score, and that Dittus for Minot had a hattrick. I kind of questioned both misconducts that the Central players recieved as well. Slominski didn't swear or anything, I was standing at that end of the ice, and all he yelled was "thats a dive". I'm not sure what the other Central player said, that was at center ice, but he looked surprised as well to serve the penalty. As long as we are talking about Ladoucer penalties, I got one too once for looking at him the wrong way.

I believe it was Simonson, Slominski, and Barclay. Not certain about Slominski. The Miller Campbell line provided the offense for the Spoilers.
