Agreed. Their d core as a whole was off last night. Misplays at the blue line, poor clearances, poor gaps. The IIHF goes out of its way to punish physical play, but he is needed in the lineup.

Awful icing call by the linesman and the Slovaks just miss on a chance.

For all the credit he gets for his goal scorers touch, Caufield is terrible in his own end. Just soft.

Shutout streak ends on a goofy play that ends up in the net. Caufield said it best, gotta shorten the shifts. Don't give them a reason to believe.

They play Finland if they win. Rather see them than Russia. To be honest.

What a tournament for Germany. Tough start, but showed up when they had all able bodies and competed.
