Years and years ago I worked at MAYSA Arena in the summer time and as a squirt he was at the open hockey every single day. Wasn't a question of whether he would skate or not, he was there. Very respectful young man too, always easy to talk to. Good family.

If Dickinson can hold on defensively, they'll be okay against South/Shanley. I still have the Bruins winning that game, but I think Dickinson will give them a battle. Red River and Century should be a decent game. Century struggled with sickness I'm told, but will have to be exceptional to beat RR. Legacy will need a goaltending performance from Miller to hold off Central. Washburn has been terrific in the net for Central this season. North and Minot is intriguing. Played to an OT game earlier this year. If you contain Walen, Watson, Branson you've got a chance if you're Minot. I'll say an East Sweep, but I think four games that could be decided in the third period.

I really don't think it was the goaltending this weekend. Whatever guy got put in would have been lit up with our collective d zone play (everybody). He and many others have to be better. In hockey it's way too easy to blame the netminder. "Ohh, they have 2 goals on 3 shots!!!!??!!!" Well what if that was three breakaways? Or three screened shots from the point? A goalie is supposed to stop 90% of all 2-0 breakaways against him?

Good to see some new blood in the tournament on the boys side. It's been forever for North, and I can't remember the last time Dickinson was at state. I said it before, but the Friday night late game sets up to be a classic if there aren't upsets. North and Central have had some battles and Scheels Arena would be absolutely rocking for that game.

Berry Postgame: -Their goalie won them the game. Hats off. -Effort was better. -#Full60 -Proud of the way we battled, needed more saves. -Earn your breaks. -When we won the natty we got smoked in Denver. -NCHC race is tight.
-
-We didn't score the puck.... -We didn't stop the puck.... -We weren't physical enough... -The lines weren't gelling.... -Our d zone sucked.... -The announcer was a moron.... -And I'm sure @Godsmack has officially turned into a CC fan.... Not a great weekend.
-
What were the UND guys doing on the ice there while CC was going to do their TCOS?
-
We need a guy to fall on their goalie like they've been falling all over our goalie.

I've got to take a deep breath, it's February. Much better to get humiliated in February than March.
-
Even with injuries 29 can't play with 9. Just can't.
-
Tigers all over us. All over.
-
Going to take a greasy one to beat Mbereko here in the third. Bodies to the net boys.
-
Schmaltz line has a mix up in coverage and its 2-2 going to the 3rd.
-
Best chance for the West is Minot vs. North. Late game, ice should be destroyed, and North relies heavily on the one line. Legacy has the goaltending to keep them in it vs. Central. Going to need a special effort from Mr. Miller.

Now we are North Dakota state.... Who is this clown...
-
Now we've got the refs are the enemy announcer....
-
D zone....ohh the d zone.
-
Central-North part 4 should be a fun one.
-
Dickinson vs. South/Shanley Red River vs. Century Central vs. Legacy Minot vs. North
-
Now we wait for the end of Central and Red River to complete the bracket. Minot and North Dickinson and South-Shanley
-
Congrats to Coach Klein and Fargo North on making the state tournament. His first as head coach.
-
North holding on for dear life in the third. 3-2 in the third. Both Bismarck schools in.
-
Big breath of relief for Central last night. Did not want the scenario of possibly losing in their own rink a third year in a row to miss state. North in the same spot as last year. A pesky WF team in their way today.
-
I'll say: South over Sheyenne West Fargo over North Red River over Central Both Bismarck schools and Minot out west.
-
You could say that for the entire group honestly. Can't remember which d man watched the Wisdom kid skate in and get two shots in on Hedquist and score his 4th when it was 5 or 6 to 1, but that shouldn't happen if it's 20-1. Haven't read any comments from Bubbs, but I would hope the film session today is a good lesson on how not to play in your own end. I think the toughest job will be to flush away a 7-1 thumping. And CC is going for blood tonight.
