  1. Here I was ready to throw the Salukis under the buss after they got bombed by Incarnate Word, but apparently everyone is getting scored on by Incarnate Word, even the FBS schools. Another tough road test against a team with a good QB. Will need a good performance from Tommy and the offense.
  2. I would hope that the Packers would be in Green Bay forever regardless. I don't think anyone could ever talk about the NFL without the Green By Packers being part of that discussion. The history alone of the stadium....Lambeau, the ice bowl, Vince Lombardi, Starr, Favre, Rodgers... I can hate the Packers all I want as a Viking fan but they are good for the NFL.
  3. "You own a piece of paper that holds zero actual value." -Aaron Rodgers As a sorry Viking fan that's been through years of crap I needed that.
  4. Slay could have 4 picks tonight. Bad look for KOC and Kirk tonight. Get the defensive starters out Vikings.
  5. Three and outs on the road are killer.
  6. Just keep finding a way to win. They've got to be extremely confident after beating a Big Ten team on the road albeit Northwestern. Hawks 30 SIU 27 3-1 going into a huge matchup against Bobby at the AL.
  7. So question for ya. If years ago DeBoer comes to Grand Forks is he still here or coaching FBS?
  8. The top three plays from ESPN college game day final were all from FCS schools. UND's flee flicker was three, Sam's QB did a flip and #1 was in a Grambling game.
  9. Thankfully UND won so the state got a split out of Arizona. All kidding aside I still can't believe they didn't use their best player that last drive. He had himself a ball game. Overall a very good day for the MVFC. I didn't even realize the Salukis had upset NW.
  10. I'm not one to question much about NDSU given the success they've had, but moments in this game just baffle me. Zona hasn't stopped Luepke at all, why wouldn't you use him late? Honestly, they should be up by 10 points.
  11. I concur. Time to let some young kids up to see what they got. Also time to shut some guys down, healthy or not.
  12. No reason to throw the ball if you're NDSU.
  13. The kid NDSU has coming in to run their read option game is a dude. A 230 lb redshirt. Him and Luepke are a tough duo to stop. Expecting a lot of bison ball the second half. Zona's defense not winning the line of scrimmage.
  14. Just bulldozed their way down to the five and tried to get cute. Dumb.
  15. Why would you throw it NDSU? They can't stop your read option game. Zona ball.
  16. Just win. Doesn't matter how, just have more points. On to the Slookies.
  17. Good riddance to Gary Sanchez at the end of the year. Wow did he not have his best moments as a catcher when it counted. You try and backhand an offspeed pitch from Duran? How many two strike counts is he calling for fastballs? The 0-2 pitch in literally the same spot as the previous pitch that tied the game is inexcusable. Double header tomorrow.....could be buried by the end of the day.
  18. I'm interested to see what they come up with going forward if this is true. I don't like the Hawks logo that whatever group they paid came up with (personal opinion people), but I've got my kids wearing it to school to try and drown out the green and yellow here in Fargo. As for the thread title I'd like to see: -Black out theme -Green out theme -Or forever, Green helmets, Green jerseys, white pants, minus the green on the white socks below the knee, or go all green socks.
  19. I was at a game where Johan came close in Minnesota against Detroit back when Detroit was good (Magglio, Miggy), and I said that he would some day get one based on how overpowering he was. The people that say the no hitter wrecked his career overlook the fact that his career was already on a path to ending and his control had already slipped because of some arm issues. Plus it wasn't actually a no hitter because a guy hit a fair ball that was called foul....
  20. Bud light intermission beer lap it is.
  21. I honestly could see the kid get bombed his next start in Cleveland. To his credit he was very professional in his post game interview. Praised his teammate who blew the no hitter, but said all the right things. I'd be really impressed if he was able to put it all behind him and have a good outing next time out. Lets hope he does. That all said he's clearly pissed off. And Sonny was also very pissed off earlier this year when taken out of a game he felt he could go longer in, add Dylan Bundy to that list as well.
  22. I think he's got a great opportunity too. The kid just finds ways at whatever level he's at to get on the score sheet. Excited to see who he's with with early in the year. Hopefully Gaber at some point.
  23. Different sports, different situations, but just a different vibe in Minnesota yesterday on the football field. There was a new blood energy that I felt gave the team a boost. And the fan base is thrilled to see a new regime after the last one ran its course, and was as successful as it was going to be. On the baseball field we are just lifeless. Lots of injuries, but I think a new front office and manager could go a long ways in getting some excitement back at Target Field. Who knows, not being able to shift next year may mean Rocco puts the binder down once in a while. Maybe an announcement from MLB that bunting is still a legal play would help.
  24. Look at Geno lead the Seahawks offense.
