I don't understand how it takes two years to understand this offense. The announcers have called it "very basic" and even used the term "elementary."

We had a narcotics officer speak to the managers of our company this week as part of an annual training. The police in GF aren't going after "small time" marijuana users in this town. They don't have the time or money to. If they are raiding a house with marijuana, chances are it was a large quantity or there were other drugs involved. I have no knowledge of what's going on with the football team or this raid, just relaying what a GF police Officer told us this week.

There were more students in the 4th quarter of last game than there were other fans...or pretty close. Can't blame people for wanting to leave early with the way the games have played out. I stayed for the whole game but not sure I will continue to if there isn't some type of improvement.

Agree. I don't think we will be crushing anyone this year. I just hope to see positive momentum, some good clean football, and hopefully enough wins to get us above .500.

Right, your original post said every little town has a Sanford clinic except GF. Was just clarifying. Also, there are federal dollars available to towns and/or hospitals when they are the only hospital in town. Not sure exactly how it works, but have been told something to that effect by someone who works at Altru. One of the supposed reasons they purchased the "Doctor's" hospital that was gonna open on South Washington.

I was walking through the tailgate lot last Saturday and saw Carson Shanks. I know he transferred to another school, don't remember which, but thought it was odd to see him here for a football game. I'd assume he was back just for the weekend. Anyone else see him/speak with him?

The Bison beat UNC 3-0 in Fargo earlier this season. I would hope we can take care of them as well.

This seems like a sensible thing to do or at least consider. For those who have a better football mind than I do, how easy is it to transition to a new defense in one week? I have to imagine it isn't very easy to do.

Wait a minute...are you saying that Nevada (the team Idaho State beat) is in the MVFC?? by my count, the Big Sky is 2-5 so far and still have the Illinois State-Northern Arizona matchup on October 7th.

Agree to a point. However, how much of that was self inflicted vs. what USD did to us. Mo state, Sac St don't come out and hit people in the mouth like that. USD stuck it to us and we didn't know how to respond. It will be interesting to see what they do once they get in conference.

You're right Darrell. Having 7 teams ranked in the top 25 is just like any other FCS conference. Oh, and I never said our season is done. We play in the Big Sky so our chances are good that we can still make some noise and get to the playoffs.

That 24-21 loss resembles nothing like the 45-7 thrashing we took yesterday. If that's how we are gonna play against a middle of the pack MVFC team, then we clearly are not ready for the grind of a MVFC season. I know aberrations happen. But we were so obviously mismatched at most positions, including coaching. If this team played USD 10 times, USD wins 9/10... we might win one...because aberrations happen. We can compete with average FCS teams for the most part. But we have some work to do as a program before we get to the MVFC.

Never heard it. Nor did I see the hawk staring at the camera for fg's or extra point....but that's probably because MSU never had an attempt! Really hope they keep that. Don't really care for the screeching hawk audio though.

Well, Gonzaga is playing a game against NAIA College of Idaho. Granted it's an exhibition. Not sure if the Northland College game is an exhibition for UND or not?

So Utah Valley and NDSU are the two non-conference DI home games. Have we ever played Northland College before? Aren't they a junior college? Maybe it's supposed to be an exhibition, just not listed as such.
