  1. They got it right. http://kellygreenwhite.wordpress.com/?attachment_id=1077
  2. Lately the entire crop of sophomore forwards + Rowney & Knight have been pretty invisible to me. The lack of sustained offensive pressure is worrisome. Also, it seems like for the last 5 periods we've been totally dominated on the first two shifts coming out of the intermission.
  3. This has everything to do with the COMPLETE INABILITY to sustain ANY sort of pressure in the offensive zone.
  4. Yeah, now that you mention it, I did notice that on the SCSU sweaters...nice touch.
  5. Aww, c'mon... Everyone knows they check the name on the FRONT of the jersey first!
  6. I like the UP patches on the left shoulder of the MTU sweaters.
  7. "Back in the Day" for me was college in the mid 90s. They were located right around the Columbia/Gateway Dr. intersection, weren't they? For some reason I seem to remember they never really made it back from the '97 flood.
  8. This team is difficult to get a read on, and it's for that reason I'm in no way going to attempt to predict what will happen. To me this playoff season is a "live in the moment" kind of event. The "inconsistency" on display can go both ways, not just negatively!
  9. I'll go with the "he's messing with the other teams' film study" theory!
  10. The "Denver Theory" would be another step further: lose in the 1st round, rest up, then win it all...2004, I think.
  11. This almost describes me to a tee as well.
  12. I actually feel bad for the STA kids because they're good enough to win the AA tourney, but were never given the chance because those in charge didn't make the jump sooner.
  13. Caggiula on top line with Kristo and Knight. Rocco swaps down to 2nd unit with Rowney and Parks. Gothberg in net.
  14. Would the NCHC logo work in the collar area of UND jerseys similar to the placement of the NHL patch?
  15. Just a random thought... Stecher was willing to decommit from UNO when Hastings left, yet Hastings' MSU-M wasn't listed as one of his possibilities. It would seem to me that playing in the NCHC may have helped us get this kid. Now...how keeping the remaining pieces of the "old" WCHA together would've changed things we'll never know. Just a little speculation...
  16. Let me look at this from a different perspective... As a WMU or Miami Fan, why should UND, SCSU, UMD, DU, CC, and UNO fans get priority over them for seat selection for the conference tourney? Do U Mich, MSU, OSU, and PSU fans get first priority for the B1G tourney at the X? Why should UMinn and UW fans be afforded that luxury? Perhaps those "other" schools are given priority when their tourney is in Detroit, I don't know. But for a tourney that is being held at the Target Center every year, I would think it would be a bit unfair to the new teams in the conference if their fans were left out of the "priority" ticket process just because we think we should have some sort of "carryover" from the old WCHA.
  17. Fair enough. I also value the NC as the standard, but to generalize fans who are proud of the program's recent accomplishments despite no NCs as not caring if they ever win one again is quite unfair. I guess it's probably a difference in how we're wired. I don't "expect" national championships every X amount of years because its not within my control. It's up to the guys in the locker room to have that expectation, and I believe they do. My expectations are reserved for things I have control of.
  18. How many more seasons will it take for those of you who are so disappointed by the lack of a recent natty to just quit following the team? This is a serious question, because I would think at some point the lack of satisfaction would eventually take its toll, and it wouldn't be worth the trouble any more.
  19. I think the big ice plus the fact MSU is not Bemidji will lend this series to be more wide-open. Not sure who it favors other than UND's top line.
  20. And I was in Madison with like 250 other people for the '99 upset loss to BC. Longest. Drive. Home. Ever.
