Does remind me years ago when they beat Iowa or Iowa State and there was a radio show making fun of them. Several fans made comments about how great they are without realizing it was razzing and in jest.
-
Which is why UNI still gets love though they have been played inconsistent the past few years.
-
I have said or posted nothing like that. So don’t say you….secondly, yes it is great about what they (Bizun) have done, but with sport or anything for that matter it is the now. Do posters bring stuff up from the past yes. I do not go on their forum and try to defend UND or bring up the past because it’s their forum. The series has often been in streaks, I just hope it’s not like the drought of 81ish to 1994 type drought.

Similar talk late 80’s early 90’s. Bizun lost their edge or as Rocky said Fat Cat syndrome. I think that is what Bizun fans worry about, is that History may repeat itself.

Keys to win - No turnovers Be aggressive on offense, (does not mean gimmick plays) O-Line needs to A: Get some push with run game and B: protect Tommy especially if 4 man rush Defense: Let’s make sure we get off the field on 3rd down, make them uncomfortable on offense, bend and don’t break! win special teams! Lastly we may give up a big play, if and when that happens the team and staff cannot have a panic attack like 3rd quarter SDSU.
-
My thinking is, looking at their style, they wanted a running quarterback with a strong arm. Which I think we were thinking of doing before Cedric or what ever his name was, chose not to go to UND.

Joe Glenn led S Dakota over NDSU in Fargo in 2015, why not us. 2015 we went 7-4 and was denied Seven years later We have 7 wins 3 sevens let’s go Lady Luck and let us win in Fargo for our 8th win!
-
They may….they been blowing out the last 5 opponents. 2pt loss at SDSU, 5 pt loss Weber State, biggest FCS loss 17 to Montana State. 21 pt FBS loss to Cal.

That’s one thing that makes me nervous, we need to limit the negative plays so we can keep their defense off balance. Poor snaps are not only negative plays, but wasted plays.
-
According to Indiana State’s head coach they were interested with Tommy. Unless he was just puffing up UND the last few minutes. I do agree, the more consistent winning the deeper our recruiting class can be.

The game went as I thought it would, kind of went too conservative the last 9 minutes or so. Overall a solid effort. If there is constructive criticism is that we need to improve on 3rd down and when given the opportunity …. get the sack, we left a few out there. Next week, hopefully we are efficient on offense and use a silent count and have solid snaps. My guess we will have to use quick passes and set up the deeper stuff later. If we can control the ball, it will give us a chance to win. Defense bend and not break and hopefully get a turnover or two. I view next week another playoff game. If we win possible seeding, if a narrow loss we get in. If we get blown out, it may give the selection committee an excuse to leave us out.

Or arrive later like UND did when Idaho State pumped over 50 on us in Idaho.
-
Red maybe another Santiago. If I recall Santiago was originally recruited as a wr and then moved to running back. Danny will put him where he will give the offense an advantage.
-
Just like the old D2 days being in the tougher region. Consistent winning seasons will get us there. Consistent winning will not only get us respect but also get players making plays to win in tighter/tougher games.
-
Saw that you said he could be a 3 to 4 year starter at UND, when I saw that I thought you were a psychic.
-
I had to look back when Tommy first signed. It was interesting hearing comments on his potential of being a good QB, while some saying he is D2 kid or there maybe something wrong if he was Michigan player of the year and no D1 offers.
-
Not easy to throw across body and with the conditions!
-
Nice throw to Smith!
-
I agree, thought we had leverage on the other side.
-
With the swirling wind Tommy is throwing some good passes.
-
We get the ball 2nd half, need to score and make them one dimensional and with pressure, their qb makes more mistakes.
-
Let’s hope their back-up with less than 50 percent completion does worse with the wind at his back.
-
Yes win, but let’s be that team that gets the momentum going early and not letting it go.
-
Yes, that’s we need we need more NG types (not just 2) that can play. So we don’t have issues in stopping spread run and can force more one on one with our edge rushers. I’m a novice and probably next year (hopefully) we will improve.
