Danny is calling a great game! As said earlier we need to keep scoring. Now it’s time for solid defensive adjustments. Their QB is playing better than expected which I think surprised our defense/scheme going into the game. Some are hard on Bubba which is understandable, but NDSU almost lost to Indiana State…..their are no easy games in this conference, it comes down to adjustments and Bubba (defensive mind) and Holinka need to come through like last week.

If I will guess, we may give up 10 early ( I hope not) and settle in. Play well and may give up a late TD. UND wins 34-24.

Talking about Red, I didn’t check, did he go back in after he was hit along the sidelines. I noticed him favoring his shoulder he came down on as he got up.
-
That is true, but if we make playoffs and not have high seed, we need win or be competitive even if 3 of 4 are on the road.
-
I believe there was a jersey issue in the first quarter. No one new.
-
Fun to watch, executed better. Wasn’t for the linemen down field stuff we could have scored in the 50’s. Team could have tanked it down 21-10, great to see their hustle. Mo. State is fast, our guys played better than last week against it (speed). Going forward our D will need to continue to improve and our offense will need to score points to help them out.
-
We need to score early and often, if we do we win 37-34 in a classic home barn burner. However if we don’t score early and Mo State dictates tempo. 17-38 loss. Our young o-line and receivers need to play big in big today and our D needs to bend on not break, force them to be impatient on offense and thus force them to make mistakes.
-
It’s one thing bend and not break, but bend and give a big play is very very concerning going into week 5.
-
Unless the young linemen grow up fast we will struggle for playoffs. I was hopeful after Nebraska, know I’m unsure. My guess the quicker passes we saw earlier this year was due to that inexperience. Defense I thought we improved on run fits, still could improve. Secondary needs to play quicker or we need mor me help over top. The long 3rd down reception today, to me exposed how slow are secondary is. The X/Y quicks gashed us also. Mo State may try to emulate that stuff next week. Hopefully we can build around our strengths, force some turnovers and get the crowd fired up next week.

SIU had no punts, I think UND had 2. SIU 0-1 4th UND 0-2 4th

Watched first half, we are the slower team by far. Especially on defense. We had some chances for 3rd down stops and did not finish. Offensively we do not have that dynamic player that can scare their defense. Our young linemen are not getting a push. Hopefully we make solid second half adjustments like last year and put ourselves in position to win.

Montana State losing 60-21 to Oregon State is surprising, thought it would be closer.

Especially the road games!

That team showed some mental toughness. Poor officiating, loss of momentum but they kept battling. Now correct what can be corrected, hopefully get healthy of to SIU.

I must be the first to admit that Bubba has a stronger heart than I. There is no way I would not have had a heart attack.
-
I am having flashbacks from last weeks 4th quarter score fest.
-
Holinka get the boys refocused and get the stop!
-
Well the offense is laying an egg. Defense needs to get a TO for a score. Or get a block punt to set up a score. The offense is reminding me of 2018 UNA all over again.
-
Lost momentum with missed FG, need someone to step up!
-
Bubba’s analytics guy must be the same as Denver Broncos.
-
The death of me this year is becoming the pass coverage (which is obvious) but the high snaps are kills the rhythm of the offense and usually another obstacle to proper execution of the play.

Crap

I will get pumped, I will turn off the tv/radio in disgust. Turn back on and start to go nuts. UND 26 UNA 21

Hopefully we get redemption like we did against Idaho State where we gave up over 50 in 2019 and came back in 2021 and had a dominant win.
