  1. The web cast got all gummed up during the circle of sticks replay.
  2. A stick salute replay and they pull the plug on the web stream in the middle of it. The test screen popped on and off over 20 times during the game. Can they run this web streaming any worse.
  3. Watching the women's bb game on america one (big sky) this afternoon. Good quality midco HD broadcast, no problems with feed. Hockey last night was good quality and streamed well also. But, the america one flash player expands to a full 16:9 screen while the neullion flash player leaves small bars on the left and right sides of the screen (not an SD 4:3 size but larger than that, but not full screen). Why is that?
  4. Good quality HD stream on the America One network. Since it uses flash player also, why does the america one flash player fill the entire 16:9 screen while the neulion flash player does not?
  5. Corner of Stanford Road and Gateway. Building is gone, Great Wall Buffet is just north of where it use to be. Looks like some sort of contruction co. lot it there now.
  6. Is the ECAC now on par, or even better, than most of the other conferences? Seems Canadian junior, and the NHL calling early, have leveled the playing field in college hockey.
  7. The mugs that were unused initially were put behind plexiglass near the entrance. Saw my mug behind glass, and was not ready for it to close, so neglected to pick it up before it did. Did someone actually sell the mugs with names on them?
  8. UND forward lines: Caggiula-Grimaldi-Johnson || Pattyn-Gaarder-Rodwell || Ma. MacMillan-Tambellini-Parks || Murphy-St. Clair-Panzarella UND defense pairings: Simpson-Schmaltz || Mattson-Stecher || Thompson-LaDue || Goalies: Gothberg-Saunders-Hrynkiw
  9. Brings back bad memories of 1983, when NCAA teams were picked, rather than using any mathematical formula. Frozen Four in the old Ralph, Sioux were not picked, even though the Sioux and Wisco were clearly the best teams in the country that year. Now it's arena selections that are selected with seemingly no common sense. Snubbed again. The NCAA sucks, period.
  10. Good grief, we know what it was.
  11. RIP, Frenchy http://www.grandforksherald.com/event/obituary/id/280014/
  12. As with any argument with DaveK, the voices tell him he's won the argument. Congrats.
  13. Reinstatement won't be revisited until January.
  14. No player expects to get hit like that when the puck isn't anywhere near him, and hasn't been anywhere near him. Players need to keep their head up when they are carrying or attempting to catch a pass, but there was no reason for this hit other than being a blatant cheap shot. Since it was between the whistles, it was, however, within your context of the game. With that standard, big players who like to hit should run around taking shots at opponents away from the puck. They won't be expecting to get hit, and you can drill him big time like you otherwise cannot. Malone's is not comparable, the puck was there or had just left. BTW, I'm not a Bruins fan. And I'd guess no one here, and certainly no one I know, understands the game the way you see it.
  15. I'd agree, Brynn hasn't gone down to that level yet. We fans want you on the team.
  16. He's getting closer to the problems that sent Frattin home for a semester+. Hope he straightens out and turns it around like Frats did.
  17. Exactly correctly spelled, according to the ss.com spelling dictionary
  18. The cowboy logo makes me cringe each time I see it, not because of Wy. football, the school, or the state, but because it's on so many flags flying at oil rigs around western ND. Oil rigs, on their own, make me cringe. Yuck
  19. I know that rule exists, but I don't believe it explains the penalties called at the same time being served in different segments of the game, as happened here. TH was confused, and the timekeeper was confused, so it probably doesn't happen often, or ever. I've never seen it, given that at least a couple posters think as I do here, it must be rarely called this way, if it's even possible by the rule. As for iluvdebbies, I should be careful what I ask for
  20. Of course there were equal penalty minutes. But can the same coincidental be served at different times (wmu player for the first 2, panz for the second 2), as they are in your argument. If you know they can, tell me I'm wrong, but the 4=4 argument doesn't make sense unless the first part is true. Keikla's 4 on 3 followed by 5 on 4 makes sense to me, with no coincidentals called.
  21. There isn't one; which one are you referring to, the Gophers?
  22. One reason, one player cannot serve 4 minutes of penalties in 2 minutes. And if Panz remained/was put back in the box for the second two, when no one is in the WMU box, how is that not a PP. I'm under the impression that coincidentals are served simultaneously, not one player on one team being in the box for the first two, the player from the second team being in the box for the second 2 minutes. If that is wrong I'm willing to be corrected, but I've never seen it.
  23. I've never seen a two minute minor served that way, but if it was, why didn't UND have a PP during the first 2 minutes (2 in for WMU; 1 for the Sioux). To keep things 5 on 5 like they did, the two WMU minors would have to have been run back to back, rather than at the same time. I think TH said they took all the penalty time off the clock before play started again, which would indicate all coincidentals.
  24. In that case, if the roughings were coincidental, teams play 4 on 4 until the high sticking/hooking penalties expire, those two come out on the fly, the coincidentals come out at the first whistle after 2 minutes.
  25. The Bison have you a bit snowed, They went from great teams in the early 80s in d2 to the present great FCS team with little to no success. UND during that period was winning and making the playoffs often in d2, they just did not win as many titles (just 1). UND's transition to FCS through the present is very similar to the Bison's, neither had much success and had poor records during that time. UND still has to prove it can get to a high level over the next few years, but there's no reason to think that can't happen.
