Marc Johnson (Wisco), a few BU guys Ken Morrow (stud defense, don't know where he played), Eruzione (captain, BU), Christian (UND) changing to D, those were the most important players on the Olympic team. Several MN guys also, which is why Gopher fans like to pull a Bison and claim a paper NCAA championship that the Sioux won.

Viewing options for Sioux hockey games this season
sprig replied to fightingsiouxfan86's topic in Men's Hockey
Partially, do view live video from undinsider you'd have to get the basic app (free I think) plus the 4.99 premium app, plus your undisider subscription. -
Don't remember them playing a D1 team during the Gunther days.
-
damn, wondered how the BU guy got in alone on the tieing goal, thought a forward had failed to backcheck. Sioux were set up well defensively all the way down the ice, LaDue and Murphy had two of the guys, Mattson had the guy that ended up alone. Was a lucky bounce when LaDue blocked the pass attempt, but Mattson screwed up by leaving the goal scorer in an attempt to double team the guy LaDue already had. Don't leave your guy, Mattson, that's when s*)t happens.

UND beat Wisco-Eau Claire, then ranked number 1, in the early 70s.

Viewing options for Sioux hockey games this season

This isn't applicable to this season but UND has discussed one app that will work on all platforms, like an app on a smarttv or dishnetwork. They hope to offer that for undinsider in the future, but it won't be anytime soon. -
I'm going, therefore a sweep. First appearance of the sprig hat

Several teams it seems in the NCHC. Who would have thought UNO, Denver, Duluth and CC would have several what appear to be losses to bad teams early in the season, only to win games now you'd think they cannot. Throw Lowell from HE into that bucket as well.
-
Looks like there is no change since MN switched to the B1G; same crap all over again.
-
Duluth up 3-0 after one, but the parade of Dogs to the box has started. Minnesota needs to score several soon, or Duluth may go well into the double figures in penalties.
-
To be fair, midco's sd feed last year was horrible, the worst I've ever seen on fta. No doubt even worse on directtv.
-
Followed by another gopher dive that turned a Duluth PP into a gopher 5x3, but duluth then scored a shortie
-
And the Schmaltz penalty was in the first, right before the bench penalty that resulted in a BU PPG at 17:15.

Now you want to be honest?

That would be nice, although midcosn would still need to be added to satellite regional offerings.

I believe midco had a pointing problem last night, and were off a few clicks from a correct point at the satellite that NESN was uplinked to, probably 83W. Not unusual for these cable co's to just get close to a correct point and call it good, until it pixelates and the complaints roll in, after which they apparently got it corrected. They need to call in an fta'er, they all fiddle with their dish until it's as accurate as they can get it, without doing that, motoring to other satellites does not work.

Don't remember when Drake got the elbowing penalty, but both these calls were during the Friday night game. I believe the Schmaltz penalty led to a PPG for BU, so was likely just before the 4:59 mark of the third period when BU scored. I don't think that the elbowing penalty on Drake led to a goal; maybe someone else remembers when it occured. Edit: wrong, the penalty in the third that led to a goal was Drakes. Schmaltz' penalty was in the first, and came just before a bench penalty, and a BU PPG at 17:15.

That's the one, and I heard the same thing from the color guy on a hit on the Saturday afternoon telecast of ND/Lowell. Never heard the guy's name but it sounded like Hodge. And I guess the neck and head are close to the shoulder if my anatomy is correct. I would imagine by that standard Rocco could get contact near the head or neck if you checked him in the ankles.

I've heard those with midco say the HD is very good on midco cable. On some of the other cable co's that pay for midco, not so much, although some of them may have chosen to just add an sd channel, and don't actually show hd. I haven't seen it myself on either midco nor nccray, so I'm just commenting on what others have said. I've asked a few out here if they are getting the hd channel on nccray, and none are sure. On another note, if you ever get to watch first generation HD, like the guys with HD fta boxes, or an ota feed, it blows away all hd delivered by cable or satellite. I watched some of a Bison game on ota HD in a Jamestown motel on local NBC, and it was unreal. Switched over to midco's Montana/SD game and it didn't come close, but it was just an sd station (don't know if csi in Jamestown offers HD midcosportsnet, but if they do the motel didn't pay for it, and didn't get it)

I would like to see video of the call on Scmaltz, made by the ref 70 feet behind the play while the ref looking at it from 4 feet didn't make the call. I think someone posted TH said it was a BU stickhold, then taking a dive over the stick to draw the penalty. I didn't see it well enough to tell if I think the ref or TH was correct. And the what I assume was HE announcers on NESN were way better than the neanderthal Hodge on NBCSN. He was explaining why a penalty call was made while we watched slow motion replay, and it was obvious what he said and what we were seeing was not the same thing.

Won't comment on how the eastern Colorado paturelands are, but, as a ND'en, I prefer the grasslands of western ND to the croplands of eastern ND. There are some of us who value prairie as much as many value mountains and trees. There was a fair bit of prairie remaining in western ND when I moved our here in the 80's, in spite of the Earl Butz era that made a whole lot of prairie disappear, but it is now under attack from the oil industry, and I much prefer prairie turned to cropland than the torn up contaminated mess that is big oil. Now back to the actual topic, sorry for the interruption.
