Did you miss mafia's first sentence? Maybe you just want to claim he hasn't been to every game the Sioux have ever played, including those before he was born. I'm sure you've been to all of them.

Did you mean to say "meteor city", or something else? To bring out the old quote developed by gopher fans, "gophers are well in the lead for the Virg Foss" award.
-
gophers are always ripped by Sioux fans, and vice versa, coaches and players-wouldn't expect that to change.

Those last two Woog teams had a ton of talent, but played like they didn't care. Remember watching a series one of those years vs. SCSU, the gophers showed no interest whatsoever in playing the game, and got run over by a much less talented team. And they continued that type of play for the last two Woog years. If/when Hak has those type of years, I'll agree with the comparison, until then, the comparison falls short of accurate.

Didn't call anyone out; firing is addictive around here. Sandelin's record at MDU has been poor for many of his seasons, but he does have the natty. I'd have a tough time trading the success Hak and UND have had for Sandelin's bad years and one natty. One natty for Hak just doesn't trump several years of poor seasons. And if Hak lost a national championship game in the manner that Blasi did vs. BU, it would get totally brutal in here. And I don't really think Sandelin, Motzko, or Blasi will or should be fired. Bring back the two line pass call. Maybe then we'd see more support the puck short passing game up the ice that was so effective during that era, and has since been lost with more and more stretch and cross ice pass attempts, and it's not just the Sioux.

That is probably, unfortunately true. I find nothing but college hockey of interest to me on CBSSports. Their football and basketball games show nothing but matchups that I find totally uninteresting, much better games on other channels. Maybe that's the way most feel about any college hockey as well. Which begs the last question. Why does CBS want it if no one wants to watch?
-
We do always catch one pompous A#@ every post however. Although he no doubt surpasses me in google, math is no contest.
-
No one will accidentally stumble across college hockey on CBSSN this weekend, as yet again there is no NCHC (or any other hockey for that matter) on CBSSN. Why did CBS want this deal? What's wrong with Miami @ UNO, or CC at SCSU? Seems like CBS showed more CCHA hockey last year than they are showing NCHC this year. Their deal seems to have done more to eliminate the NCHC from national recognition than to actually showcase the NCHC, which I'd think CBS would want since they got exclusivity.

You're a Hoot, Dave. With a capital H

Bad stuff, worse than facing the guy and dropping the gloves, but Dave has a weird standard no one will ever understand, so I don't try. He likes the gophers style of cheap shots and hiding behind referees, which is all we need to know.
-
When will they let you go on to third grade? Rough necks make a bunch, but spend it all on booze during the 6 off. I'm guessing that's where your $$ go.

CBSSN is not even available from many cable television providers, including the one where I live. How does that make it easy to access?
-
You missed mine, which was, with no CBS deal, the national television exposure for the teams in the league would have differed minimally, only UND took the big hit. That does, however, not factor in the money the league got for the deal.

I think you mean if you've read Dave on ss, he believes what he posts, and hasn't ever slipped a bit (other than buying a hdtv)

Here's the count of NCHC televised games with the exclusive CBSSN contract (1st number is the number of times the teams are on nationally on just CBS, the second the number they'd be on with ND having the national FCS contract). North Dakota 6-17 Miami 4-2 CC 4-2 Denver 2-0 SCSU 3-2 WMU 4-2 MDU 2-2 Omaha 1-2 Totals 26-29 Exactly how much did the teams benefit from voting for the exclusivity contract (Note: this doesn't include games on regional networks, that viewers can access nationally with satellite sports paks -ie Denver on ROOT, or on FTA, where many games can be found). The big hit was taken by UND alone, hence my "idiotic" conspiracy theory.
-
But we should use bison fan posters opinion that no one at UND cares about anything other than hockey.
-
I'd bet that only the WCHA and AHA would be interested in a deal like this with CBS, if stuck with the exclusivity clause
-
While your spelling improves when you're semi-sober in the morning, your arguments are un-followable.
-
My problem with CBS is this, they demanded the exclusivity clause, then went two weekends showing no hockey at all, followed by a double header that included two B1G teams. It's their choice, but they don't seem all that interested in the NCHC as a league. If they'd rather be somewhere else, then please go somewhere else.
-
Many on here don't agree with you, does that make you idiotic, or just so much more knowledgeable than the rest of us. Get over yourself.
-
Maybe Sandeling is better though. GFhockey's postings certainly reminds me of the typical roughneck in western ND.
-
That makes sense to me as well, hadn't thought of the NBCSN deal for Notre Dame not having any league wide exclusivity clause, as it does with CBS. Seems like the league's need to "level the playing field" has done little more than squash the league as a whole, nationally. And probably put it on par with the AHA and WCHA. The B1G and HE now have more relevancy than everyone else.
-
The teams that voted for this crappy deal (all but UND) have to be wondering what they did by now. Those like Denver that had a regional deal have found it much "smaller" this year. Only UND still has a lot of games on regionally on midco, although the footprint of midco is very small. If they could get on the satellite networks in the sports pak, that would be great, but now not so much. Seems that all the other teams got from the exclusivity clause is eliminating UND from being on national TV. Maybe that's why they voted for it. And I'd agree that getting Notre Dame and the NBCSN deal was no better than the one the NCHC has now.
