  1. The neulion fansupport email address is not actually neulion, but a third party company that provides just customer support to many different companies. That is no doubt why they often don't understand what one is asking, give cut and paste answers to questions they think you asked, rather than what you actually did ask, and are just a go between, sending your question/comments to UND reps, who are the only one's that can deal directly with neulion. If the cut and paste answers given by fansupport might actually help, they are listed somewhere in this thread, otherwise, may as well go directly to UND support. They obviously use this progression: 1. blame the customer 2, 3, 4..... blame UND Can't believe the amount of time I've wasted contacting fansupport. Gotta love the internet age.
  2. Yep, you may have it stretched or zoomed to fill the whole TV, but the flash player should do that with your TV in the "normal" aspect setting. America One's (Big Sky) flash player works like that, getting the same stream from UND and Midco for BB and other Big Sky sports. Actually, I can fill the screen by setting wide or zoom aspect on the TV, but there's a large loss of what an HD camera provides in the camera's wider format when doing that. I'm a bit anal in wanting to see HD the way it's meant to be, rather than something less. Neulions last response, which will be their last because I've given up, is that they are happy to forward my complaints to UND In my conversations with Matt Schill, it is no doubt neulions flash player "build" that differs from the America One player "build", which works like, imo, it should.
  3. Neulions answer to the black bars: They don't understand I'm not asking about the format or apect, I know it's supplied by UND in 16:9 HD. One thing I've learned dealing with neulion's support is, they are NEVER wrong, it's always someone else's fault. Jayson, does anyone at UND have an answer for this?
  4. No, I can expand the player to "FULL", but there are still small black bars on each side of the screen, and, of course, a control bar that does not disappear on the bottom of the screen. The Big Sky/America One player, on the other hand, that receives the same 16:9 Midco HD content (for BB and VB, etc), does expand to a full 16:9 screen, and the control bar disappears (reappears if you point at the bottom of the screen. I'm not saying that the neulion player is not showing a HD 16:9 screen, because it is, it just won't, when expanded, fill the entire big screen TV (unless I zoom or stretch my TV format, but I don't want to lose the full width of the video provided by an HD camera, nor do I want to skewer the screen, ie wide, short players, etc) One user here said that he gets a big screen TV filled using the iphone app on an ipad through the apple TV device (guess the apple tv air play is smart enough to figure out how to fill a big screen), not sure if anyone else can fill the entire big screen TV screen with the UND/neulion player. What are you using? I'm using a PC to HDTV hdmi hookup.
  5. I asked neulion why the undinsider flash player does not, when expanded, fill the full 16:9 screen, while the america one flash player (Big Sky) does. Following is their answer: It appears that neulion is saying it's on UND's end?
  6. You have to choose the words carefully when describing what DaveK believes. I think what you posted is close, but probably not quite accurate. At any rate, there are two things that always apply, now, in the past, and in the future. That is, physical play by Boston is always cheap, and wrong, while physical play by Pittsburg, is the right way to play the game, and is always right.

    Hammerisms

Looks like we'll need a separate "mis-pronounced" names and " crazy sayings" T shirts. The list for both could get extremely long in a few years
  8. Had a lot of fun, like you, during those Bjorkman years, but usually didn't go expecting a win, rather just hoped for one occasionally. Remember looking forward to a CC series during the 5 win season (probably have the wrong record, was probably the 73/74 season, and the 5 win season, I think, was 74/75?) since CC was at the bottom of the league with the Sioux. Unfortunately Doug Palazzari smoked the Sioux both nights for 2 more losses. The early years of the then new Ralph were not so good, but then Gino arrived (and I wasn't living where I had any contact with Sioux hockey). Times have changed drastically in expectations since those years.
  9. I don't know (haven't noticed) if the clock has been wrong, but they frequently don't get the graphic on the screen, at least for a portion of almost every PP
  10. Can't remember how we got here, looked back and it was Goon's Christmas card pic of the fleece hat and a duck. Not hard to guess who I am in your description. That's a fact, Jack
  11. You must smell a bit like dead jackrabbit. Or maybe making noises like one that's about to die? The whole countryside out here now smells like burning natural gas, or worse, hydrogen sulfide.

    Hammerisms

    A frightening thought
  13. Actually, shovelers have won a blind taste test in the past. I do like mallards, and the hunt by appearance aspect is based on not shooting hens, and, getting a fully feathered "pickable" duck. I rather like cooking duck with the skin on. But it doesn't change the fact that we like to give the shoveler shooter some crap just for fun. The absolute worst tasting/smelling duck ever shot, was a Minnesota scaup that a friend had shot. In the oven it made the house smell like you were boiling beaver, and it didn't taste any better than it smelled.

    Hammerisms

Yet I still don't think he understands that the disallowed goal was because of the guy in the crease, rather than just the normal penalized goalie interference rule. It's the blue paint, Hammer.
  15. confirmed on the bohl show just now; press conference on North Dakota NBC at 11

    Hammerisms

Kind of like the Goon ss.com spelling dictionary, we need a list of Hammerisms, starting with: one-timer (when it's not) gummed up traditional circle of sticks Add more from the past, or as they come up in the future.
  17. Adam said on Saturday night it was in the goalie interference rule (which is a penalty rule), but it obviously is not, it's in the disallowed goals rule. However, in defense of Adam (can't believe I just said that) in the Saturday night interview with Hammer, Hammer never asked a question, just gave his version of the answer (which was wrong), then stuck the mic in Adam's face with no question asked. If anyone can confuse the game for everyone, it's Hammer. Good grief, Hammer, we didn't know the rule (well we did since Wilbur posted it), you obviously didn't know the rule, so ask the head of the officials the question, rather than showing us your expansive lack of hockey knowledge.
  18. So you eat the beak?
  19. Been so long since anyone has dropped the gloves, what is the rule? Would the general serve his one game suspension at British Columbia or not until the CC weekend? It was nice to see the Sioux continuing the attack after getting the lead, rather than dropping back into defensive mode.
  20. To not stray from hammerisms, that should be "gumming things up"
  21. Picture here please. I like looking at dead shovelers (hope it was a fully colored greenhead)
  22. If it's as simple as flipping a switch connected to the clock, someone is not getting it done.
  23. RU suggesting they weren't?
  24. At least, plus the double two hander on Stecher (or was it Ladue?) when he pinched in, kept the puck in the zone, then took two big whacks while Parks, and Ausmus tied the game. (Edit: it was Stecher, but he took three big whacks, before the Cagiulla goal, not the first goal) Haks in-game adjustments Noting that NMU was clearing their dzone by ringing the puck around the boards, so they pinched the dman on that side throughout the third, creating lots of ozone time for the Sioux. In-game adjustments? Nah, can't be.
  25. The web steam may improve, but I think we're stuck with that
