  1. Can't imagine anyone living in eastern ND or MN not having good off air antenna (or anyone living within antenna distance from any of the major city TV network stations). 1st generation HD just can't be touched by cable or satellite (except FTA satellite). Such a cheap option (the antenna) to watch so much "free" TV.
  2. Hard time finding a conference post among the watches argument, but finaly did. The NCHC based on nonconference record, would appear to be on leval equal to the WCHA and AHA. All other conferneces appear much better. A list of NCHC killer games follows: SCSU - Tied Bemidji and Union UND -Tied Vermont, loss and tie to Boston UNO- Lost to Bentley, Northern Michigan, Cornell x2, and New Hampshire x2 Denver -Tied Alaska, UAA, Air Force, RPI, and Brown, Lost to Canisius Duluth - Mich. Tech tie, Lost to Notre Dame and Ohio State Western Mich - Lost to Notre Dame x2, Loss and Tie to Northern Mich, tie with Northeastern, Tie with Alaska CC - Losses to Clarkson x2, Air Force, UNH x2, Wisco x2, and Brown Miami- Loss and tie to Providence, loss to Wisco A couple of the losses/ties were to teams higher up in pairwise (Wisco/Providence), but most are pairwise killers for the conference a a whole. The teams in the conference top 4 have some terrible ties and losses to teams in the lower division of their conferences. It would appear the NCHC stinks this year. Now going to check my watch, know it was cheap (way below $400 cheap) but keeps time perfectly (radio watch) and is solar powered. Still trying to figure out why smokey and gfhockey need to measure themselves by a pocketbook. Strange? Next we'll be measuring schwanstuckes.
  3. That is where it stands now, hard to make that change much with nonconference nearly done. The games at SCSU will be huge for the Sioux as well. Seems we are near a no losing situation.
  4. Thanks, haven't tried live mode pausing. Did work well live, however, just a bit of camera jitters for the first couple minutes of the game.
  5. Time to be a CC fan when the play Providence next weekend. The NCHC needs nonconference wins badly, especially against anyone ranked high in pairwise. This CC series may be the last chance for anyone in the NCHC. There is another opportunity for bad non conference losses (ie Sioux vs. Bemidji). Those two non conference series next weekend are huge for the NCHC.
  6. Guess I pulled the plug before the clip.

    Hammerisms

Anything new this weekend? I didn't hear any, and only a couple of "gummed up" all weekend.
  8. It's not on today's midco's post game stream on undinsider. My webcast went off air before showing it last night as well. Checked the end of the full game replay as well, not there either. Maybe just on TV? Hammer mentioned the upcoming hand shake line and stick salute just before the commercial, but after the post game and "good night", the webcast went off air. Guess midco and their sponsors don't know we'd like to watch a good ending to a good weekend.
  9. Weird, I cannot "pause" any of the video and start it again later. If I don't get back to it soon, it shows "disconnected" when I return and I have to restart from the beginning, or at whatever point the live game is at; must be some flash setting that I'm missing? And could someone please let the morons at midco know those of us that watch the webcast or on TV would like to see the "traditional circle of sticks". Good grief, hasn't happened often, and they didn't show it, not even a taped version.
  10. A lot of ozone time and chances for the Sioux, but no goals. They often looked like they were on the PP 5 on 5, but didn't look like they were when they actually had a PP. At least now they can't play the third to win it 1-0
  11. That one had to be impossible to miss, so away from everyone else on the ice except those two. Starman was astounded, saying "after that one, if a CC player even breathes on a Sioux player it's going to be called" (not an exact quote as Sioux wasn't in there). Had to believe they were again officiating the score, rather than what was actually happening on the ice. The cfb was just one too many.
  12. Probably not before tomorrow
  13. Chyzyk interview vs Tambo escape overnight. Doesn't take long for character to show up (or not).
  14. Shephard and partner didn't have a great night. Not much to call but the weak third period call on Ladue followed up by a blatant interference going uncalled when Rocco had a near shorthanded breakaway were terrible. Fortunately, after CC got away with that one, they committed the cfb, impossible not to call (but probably no more so than the non-call on the INT) And btw, 100.3 cat country is available from the iheartradio site.
  15. Unless Tambo has a steep growing up curve, he'll still be in the CHL when he "ages" out. Then he can do some ECHL/AHL time as he tries to get to the NHL. Leaving in the middle of the year shows a huge lack of maturity.
  16. Rau was also taunting the Sioux bench after the Gophers had won and the game was over last year. One of his own teammates grabbed hime and dragged him back to the Gopher bench to head for the locker room.

    2014 Recruiting

Now there is an apt description of almost all your posts, although with fewer misspelled, mispunctuated words, although 2 of 7 is a fair effort.
  18. Unfortunately, true, and it's been that way since his freshman year. He is unbelievably good (like at BU this year) when he's healthy, this team could use him if he can get healthy down the stretch.
  19. Seemed like Saros should have been the all tourney goalie, but we didn't see the Finns in the preliminaries when they lost twice (to Sweden and Switzerland). Sweden the only team to go undefeated until the gold medal game, so maybe Dansk was deserving.
  20. Did anyone hear the announcers say there's a rumor that Sweden's Olefson (sp?) will leave CC for the Wild after this tourney?
  21. Two cross checks to the head after the initial crosscheck. Could have called a triple minor. As Ferraro said, he got his money's worth out of that 2 minute penalty. The "program of excellence" is in major melt down.
  22. 2-0 after one. Funny, during warmup when the TSN play by play guys were talking about Furcale, they were showing the rapid fire warm up with his teammates taking shots at him in rapid succession from above the circles. Showed about 25-30 shots during that sequence and I'd guess 7-8 went in on the blocker side, almost exactly like the Russian's second goal. Seems like Furcale has been good in this tournament, but that goal was not so much. Canada was dominant for much of the period, but could not get one by the Russian G.
  23. ND/BC in Fenway starts late because of poor ice due to the weather being too cold (0 degrees in Boston).
  24. The ECAC does it again; unreal
